Chapter 1478: Chapter 9 Volume 15: Weights on the Balance_4

The mechanical team with night vision on, although they did not emit a trace of light, made everyone feel as if walking in the daylight, as if the Western Alliance people would discover them in the next second.

Pereira anxiously looked at the time.

In the Northern Battle Zone, the frenzied electronic interference dominated the entire world. Coupled with the need to hide traces, the troops maintaining light and communication silence could only rely on the shortest distance directional communication and verbal reports for communication and contact. The reconnaissance mecha sent out by the vanguard had not conveyed any messages to the command center for ten minutes.

”General, look!”

The commander of the 332nd division standing next to Pereira pointed with a hand. On the distant hillside, a communication mecha was moving in the opposite direction to the advancing troops, running swiftly towards them.

Pereira quickly jumped off the platform, ordered the command mecha to pull over, and impatiently walked out of the cabin.

”Sir, Frenso Town battle report.” As soon as the communication mecha stopped, the communication soldier jumped out of the cockpit and handed Pereira an electronic document.

”How’s the situation in Frenso Town?” Pereira asked while anxiously waiting for the electronic document to load.

The communication soldier reported: ”Our reconnaissance team from the 333rd division reports that now the bandit army’s First Armored Division has counterattacked to the outskirts of Frenso Town. The Western Alliance Army is being suppressed in the urban area. The battle is fierce.”

”The bandit army... urban area?” Pereira was scared and lifted his head in surprise, not bothering to look at the already activated electronic document.

From Half Cloud Ridge to Frenso Town, a distance of twenty kilometers, how did the Western Alliance Army suddenly get pushed back?!

”Yes, sir.” The communication soldier said: ”The bandit army requests our forces to accelerate the march and rendezvous within half an hour, launching a full assault within an hour. According to them, the bandit army’s Second Armored Division has already cut off the Western Alliance Army’s retreat route west of Frenso Town.”

Pereira’s eyes widened, stunned for a long while before he looked down to the electronic document. After a while, he mechanically handed the document to the three division commanders beside him.

After reading the document in their hands, the three division commanders had somewhat vacant expressions.

”Order the troops to cancel the search and advance, abandon constructing the blockage positions, and advance at full speed!” Pereira waved a hand, turned around, and got into the command mecha: ”Let’s go, let’s take a look!”

The command mecha quickly ran forward. A ten-kilometer distance doesn’t take too long for a full-speed running mecha.

When the mecha caught up with the vanguard troops and passed through the mining area under the protection of the vanguard to enter the northeastern suburb of Frenso, the faint suspicion in Pereira and his men’s hearts completely vanished.

Along the way, what they saw were Fei Alliance troops taking over defense, and what they heard was the sound of artillery from the urban area.

This is real.

The bandit army’s First Armored Division, entering the fight from Half Cloud Ridge, directly drove the three armored divisions of the Western Alliance back to Frenso Town with overwhelming force. By now, they had wiped out nearly two-fifths of the enemy forces, and with the Second Armored Division cutting off the Western Alliance Army’s retreat path from the southern 130 defense zone.

Why do we even need to be here?

With this question and unimaginable shock, Pereira finally met the bandit army’s general and the commander of the First Armored Division on Night View Mountain in the eastern suburb of Frenso Town.

Calling it a mountain, it’s actually just a slightly higher hill.

Standing on the flattened hilltop, looking westward, the urban area of Frenso Town is clearly visible. The brilliantly lit night view of the urban area in peaceful times has now been replaced by the ever-present flashes of explosions and interwoven artillery lights. The dilapidated buildings and the ruins with their exposed remnants in the flickering lights repeatedly appear and disappear into the darkness.

When the explosion flares erupted, they coincided with the mechas and soldiers fiercely battling from both sides. On the slightly closer highway, lines of illuminated armored troops seemed like flowing light dragons. Along the flat grounds adjacent to the highway, rows of silently marching soldiers, lines of skirmishers approaching the urban area, stretched into the distance.

In the chill of the black night, standing on this Night View Mountain, what one sees is a kind of surreal and brutal beauty.

Pereira and his companions got out of their mecha and saw a Fatty and a short guy arguing.

”No way,” the short guy was jumping mad: ”These fifty Judgers are mine!”

”Bullshit,” Fatty glared angrily: ”I’m the officer, get out of my way!”

”You used to call me officer!” the short guy was relentless: ”The direct Special Forces Camp has already taken down five squads of Judger, these fifty are right in my mouth, you’re not snatching them!”

”What’s in your mouth,” Fatty sneered: ”This is in MY mouth! If you can snatch them from me, go ahead!”

With that, without waiting for the short guy to speak, Fatty waved an order: ”Go!”

The officers of the 33rd Army hadn’t come to their senses yet, just as they saw three hundred black Devil Mechas roaring past them like a waterfall, plunging down the steep slope of Night View Mountain.

The roaring sound of the mecha sliced through the air, transforming into the earth-shaking footsteps down that slope, rumbling towards the far end of the highway and the urban area at the bottom of the mountain.

The officers stupidly watched the smug Fatty and the furious short guy, their heads spinning.

Were they talking about the Judger?!
