Chapter 2101: It Just Happened

The Royal Family indeed had strong support from most nobles, and almost half of them were quite loyal. Despite the three famed commanders and the two dukes declaring the reformation and the founding of the Auriga Council, they still sent their forces to recapture the capital.

That was when the people in the capital, as well as the nobles who doubted Alger, witnessed how powerful Tang Shaoyang was. No, they didn’t even get to see Tang Shaoyang in action. Aerelion, Doombringer, and Baccara made a show of themselves. How a single attack from them wiped out the Demi-God Rank and lower-ranked people.

When the reinforcements were left with just the God Ranks, the other spirits joined in the fray. The fight was over in just half an hour. Since the reinforcements were split into three groups, the battle occurred three times, and the people witnessed the one-sided slaughter each time.

The civilians could only hear what happened, but that was enough to leave a deep impression on them. They got to witness their new ruler’s might, and the fear slowly spread out. They were concerned about what would happen to them once the ruler changed.

Meanwhile, the formed nobles got to witness the show directly. That was when they realized what Alger meant by saying he saved the kingdom. They could no longer deny it when they got to witness the battle.

Once the battle with the Royal Family’s supporters was over, the next step was easier for the Auriga Council. The former nobles returned to their territory once Zara unsealed the teleportation. They deployed their troops to ”persuade” the remaining nobles to join the council.

The remaining nobles only had three choices. First, they could choose to fight just like the Royal Family’s loyalists. Second, they could choose to go back to Bolarg. Third, they could join the council. Separation and staying in the God Realm independently were impossible.

The Auriga Council united the remaining nobles within a day. More than half of the Auriga Kingdom’s army, which was led by the three famed commanders, joined as well. They were loyal to Niko, Osmund, and Alger in the first place. As for the people of the Auriga Kingdom, they didn’t have a choice; they didn’t have the power to resist the change.

Within two days, the Auriga Council was set up. It was the name they picked up, and Tang Shaoyang didn’t really care about the name, so he approved it. After setting up the council, they united the remaining people with their force.

They captured the Royal Family’s loyalists and took over their territory. That took them two days because the Auriga Kingdom was quite big. They had been doing the same thing, attacking the new territories altogether with the Crazules Kingdom and the Ridian Kingdom.

That was why they confidently went after Tang Shaoyang’s territory. They had been doing that for quite some time, going after the new territories. It was just unfortunate that they had to meet someone like Tang Shaoyang after years.

Within four days, the Auriga Kingdom embraced a new change. They had become the Auriga Council under the three famed commanders. No one could resist them when the Royal Family’s loyalists were wiped out by Tang Shaoyang.

On the fifth day, Alger, Niko, and Osmund led their army to the border of the Crazules Kingdom. They brought more than half of the available army and spread them out at the border, waiting for further instructions from Tang Shaoyang.

The Ridian Kingdom also did the same, and in fact, they moved their army to the Crazules Kingdom’s border a few days earlier. It finally reached the final phase of his plan.

Tang Shaoyang gave the two forces a green light to invade the Crazules Kingdom after the Auriga Council’s army got its rest. The Ridian Kingdom split its forces into four groups. Since Tang Shaoyang told them that the Crazules Kingdom no longer had an army to protect the borders and cities, they confidently split their force.

Meanwhile, the Auriga Council took a more conservative approach. The former nobles and the three commanders split up and moved into two different groups.

[Your plan went smoothly.] Zara commented in his head as they watched the Auriga Council take over the border.

No soldiers were guarding the border. They went through the wall and captured the city near the border. The city was a place to keep the supplies for their army. The moment all the soldiers were assassinated, the people who stayed in the city left. It was empty, and in fact became a lair of small bandits.

Of course, those bandits posed no threat to an actual army. They spared no bandits and took the city and marched into the heart of the Crazules Kingdom.

[You don’t need a plan when you have absolute power!] Vandir chimed in, [It’s more like Boss is getting quicker with his improvisation. He thinks of the steps ahead of him as he fights those armies stationed outside our territory. I didn’t think he had any plan before attacking those three kingdoms’ armies.]

Tang Shaoyang just felt good about himself, thinking that he made a move with a plan in mind. Now that Vandir said it, he had to admit he didn’t plan it all. He just thought about what he should do next after the battle.

After wiping out those three armies just to prove to his people that they were not ready for his fight. He thought about what he should do next. Since he was going to leave for the Sacred Realm, he figured that he needed to settle the issue with the three kingdoms.

Leaving one alive to send a message while sending his spirits to follow them was to probe what these three factions would do. He expected them to give up attacking him after what he did to their army, but two out of three kingdoms thought differently.

After finding out the two kingdoms wanted to attack his territory despite their loss, he improvised again. He realized that he needed to take over these two kingdoms to make his territory safe. Then he thought about what he should do and ended up with such a plan.

It was not like his move was bad, but it was indeed not a plan, as Zara said. He improvised based on his situation and the tools in his hand.

Of course, it worked well because he had the power to back it up. When you have power, no matter how stupid his move or plan was, it might work. Just like how he wiped out the Auriga Kingdom’s loyalists. If that didn’t happen, it might take more time for Alger to set up the Auriga Council.

With the invasion of the Crazules Kingdom, Tang Shaoyang just needed to observe everything from above. However, due to the Auriga Council’s conservative move, they moved much more slowly than the Ridian Kingdom. That ended up with the Ridian Kingdom taking more than half of the Crazules Kingdom and the capital.

But that was not too bad for the Auriga Council. The council was still weak in its authority over the people. There were a lot of doubts about how it would end up for them. So it was actually good that they didn’t take half of the Crazules Kingdom’s territories. That would cause more trouble for them instead.

On the Ninth Day, Tang Shaoyang gathered the representatives from the Auriga Council and the Ridian Kingdom. That was where the real talk began. Of course, Li Shuang was the one who led the meeting with her people. Zhang Mengyao, Kang Xue, Wei Xi, and Cao Jingyi were present.

After an hour of meeting, the Auriga Council decided to join the Tang Empire as a vassal. They would join the Tang Empire as members, but they still maintained their council and territory. A vassal that was part of the empire. Their territory would be transferred under the Tang Empire’s name as well, but they were trusted to manage those territories as well.

Meanwhile, the Ridian Kingdom agreed to be a vassal, but they were an independent vassal. They didn’t join the Tang Empire, remaining as a faction. However, they had to agree and sign stricter agreements.

First, they must pay tribute yearly, in GC, including rare items from their original world such as Class Scrolls, bloodlines, and artifacts.

Second, they would be under the Tang Empire’s protection, but they didn’t get to enjoy the same treatment as the other vassals. The benefits include freely purchasing the empire’s product, the potions, and the dwarves’ items. They could buy them, but they had to pay more: more expensive, limited in numbers, and, of course, there were taxes in each of their purchases.

Third, they signed a Divine Contract with harsher punishment if they breached those contracts, harsher than the one the Auriga Council signed. Of course, the Ridian Kingdom would be welcomed anytime if they ever changed their mind to join the Tang Empire.

With that meeting, Tang Shaoyang secured his territories in the God Realm. The Auriga Kingdom was to his north, the Crazules Kingdom was to his northwest, and the Ridian Kingdom was to his west.

To the east was a vast sea, and to his south was actually a null zone. A null zone was a territory belonging to the System. They could enter that territory, but they would turn into ordinary people. The players could not use skills, and their attributes would be dropped to flat 100, all attributes.

Of course, they couldn’t build in the null zone. The building would crumble right away. It was a flat plain with unbreakable ground. There was nothing there, no stones, a living being, or even trees.

That was why he concluded their territory was safe for the time being. Unless the force further north tried to conquer them, those forces must go through the Ridian Kingdom and the Auriga Council to reach the Tang Empire.

Li Shuang let out an exhausted sigh after the meeting was over. It came out of nowhere, caught her and her people off guard. They were totally unprepared and were glad that everything went well. She could guess why it went well, because of her husband. She could tell these people feared her husband.

”Please tell me ahead of time for something like this so we can get more prepared,” Li Shuang complained.

”Agreed!” Kang Xue, Zhang Mengyao, and Cao Jingyi immediately blurted out in agreement.

Wei Xi and Li Shuang’s subordinates could only smile on the side.

”I actually never plan this stuff. It just happened,” Tang Shaoyang answered honestly.
