Chapter 2143: Little Girl

Tang Shaoyang thought the Alliance Leader knew what he meant when he said the Spear God destroyed the city. It seemed like the alliance truly didn’t realize it yet.

”I am not going to comment about who is evil and who is not. However, is it true that Heaven’s Founder came to kill you?”

Zhong Tian Yun hadn’t realized why Tang Shaoyang asked such a question. Old Zhou was also confused at first. But then he quickly realized where Tang Shaoyang was headed with that question. He was about to stop the Alliance Leader from answering, but he was too late.

”That’s right. They came to kill me. That’s the only way for the Heaven Founder to take over the Sacred Realm. Do you know what will happen to the people if the Heaven Founder takes over the Sacred Realm?”

Tang Shaoyang shrugged, ”I don’t know what will happen. No one knows what will happen, but one thing is for sure. You are the Heaven Founder’s target, not the city. You could lure them out of the city and fight somewhere else, yet for some reason, you and your friends decide to fight in the city instead.”

”Am I wrong that you and your friends are the reason a lot of people are killed and the city is destroyed? You can easily lure them out of the city, yet you fight inside the city.”

Zhong Tian Yun’s brow creased, realizing why Tang Shaoyang said that he was the reason the city was destroyed. He could not even refute that, as it was the truth.

Back then, he didn’t think about the impact of his fight against the Heaven Founder. He focused on defending himself against the Heaven Founder’s leader. It could be said that he panicked and lost his cool back then, but he was ashamed to admit that in front of many people.

Han Lingxiao felt like this was his chance to pit Uncle Zhong against the owner of the Lotus Moon Pavilion.

”You talk big for someone who did nothing. Where were you when the Heaven Founder attacked the city? You should be grateful for what the Alliance Leader did to protect the city! You should be grateful that my master sacrificed himself to protect the city! How dare you slander my master!”

He pointed his finger at Tang Shaoyang, saying those out loud for everyone to hear. He had a furious facade on the outside, but deep inside, he was smug with the situation.

’How dare a mere brother’s owner go against the alliance leader and me!’

Tang Shaoyang shrugged, ”First, I am not complaining. I am just stating the fact that your master and alliance destroyed the city, which is bad for my business.”

”Second, it’s not my job to protect the city. It’s the Murim Alliance’s job. I pay taxes to the city, and you expect to fight for the city as well? I am a merchant, and I only protect my business. Thanks to your master, now I can’t do business for quite some time.”

Zhong Tian Yun was in a dilemma and hesitated to escalate the conflict into a bigger conflict. He didn’t want to make an enemy of these mysterious people when he had the Heaven Founder.

Tang Shaoyang waved his hand at the Alliance Leader and Spear God’s disciple, making a ”shoo” gesture, chasing them away from his establishment.

”Just leave. My girls are traumatized after the battle, and they will not serve anyone for at least a week.” Then Tang Shaoyang turned toward Manager Yang Anming, who had recovered after drinking the healing potion. ”Remember those six people’s faces and don’t ever let them step into our establishment again. We don’t welcome troublemakers.”

Han Lingxiao wanted to say something, but he didn’t want to overstep his boundary. He waited for the Alliance Leader’s reaction and would decide after that. He was disappointed that Uncle Zhong didn’t say anything to the brother’s owner, which surprised him.

That meant the brothel’s owner was not an ordinary merchant. The realization sank in, and he decided not to make a fuss further. He was about to leave the location out of embarrassment, but then he felt something was missing.

He was confused at first until he saw the man who caught his spear with his bare hand, playing with his spear. The missing thing was his spear. The problem was not any ordinary spear. It was his Master’s spear.

It was made with rare and precious materials, with one of them a dragon fang and dragon bones. On top of that, his Master had been using that spear for hundreds of years.

The spear had gone through a lot and was tempered by his Master. The spear itself might contain his Master’s will and intent. That was one of the most powerful spears out there.

”Give me back my spear!”

Hang Lingxiao rushed over, trying to get back his spear, but Uncle Zhong stopped him. He understood that Uncle Zhong was worried about him since that man easily beat him, but he was not going to give up on his master’s spear. That spear was a symbol that he was the successor of the Spear God.

”Let me handle it,” Zhong Tian Yun, of course, knew the value of that spear. He would not allow it to be taken before his eyes, especially if it was over something trivial.

”Can you give back the spear? That’s my friend’s legacy, and that’s something that I will not give up on!”

Gianni observed the spear in his hand. He thought the spear was made of wood, but it was not. It had a similar texture, but it was not wood. That was when he realized that this was a good spear. He thought of taking it for himself. He didn’t give the spear back right away, turning toward Tang Shaoyang.

If Tang Shaoyang allowed him to keep the spear, then he would not give it back. This spear was a waste in the hands of the so-called Spear God’s disciple.

”Give it back! If you want a spear, you can ask Engin to make one for you.”

Gianni clicked his tongue in pity, but he listened to the order. He didn’t mind having a spear crafted by the dwarf either. He returned the spear, but instead of throwing the spear back toward the Alliance Leader, he threw it under his feet as he turned around.

Zhong Tian Yun had forgotten how long it had been since someone treated him this way. It was back then that he was just nobody, a very long time ago. He didn’t like it, but he held back.

He was wary of this mysterious group and was not going to antagonize them until he had information about them. It was not wise to make an enemy when his hand was full with the Heaven Founder. On top of that, his trusted friends were injured. They could not help him if a fight broke out.

Han Lingxiao didn’t care about the humiliation. What was in his mind was to take back the spear. He rushed over to take the spear the moment it was thrown to the ground. He held the spear tightly, afraid that someone would take it from him.

No one expected it would go this way when the Alliance Leader appeared. Everyone thought the Alliance Leader would use his influence and force the brothel’s owner to apologize for hurting the Spear God’s disciple. It was an anticlimactic ending that no one expected.

Zhong Tian Yun shook his head, disappointed in Han Lingxiao. Going to the brothel on the same day his master was killed. Then Han Lingxiao embarrassed himself, and he was also embarrassed when Tang Shaoyang pointed out that he was the reason the Immortal City got destroyed.

However, this was a situation where there was nothing he could do. He understood that Han Lingxiao was still grieving his Master’s death and maybe trying to console himself by going to the brothel.

He could not bear to scold Han Lingxiao on the day of his Master’s death, ”Where’s your junior sister?”

Spear God had three disciples. Han Lingxiao was the eldest, the second disciple was killed by the demonic faction, and the third was an eleven-year-old girl whom his friend had raised since baby. Old Lei decided to take her as a disciple after discovering her talent.

”I...” Han Lingxiao looked toward the Lotus Moon Pavilion, ”I will not bring my Junior Sister to this kind of place, Uncle Zhong.”

Zhong Tian Yun nodded, ”Go back for now. We don’t know if the people from the Heaven Founder might be around.”

After saying that, Zhong Tian Yun’s figure disappeared.

Tang Shaoyang himself was disappointed as he expected the Alliance Leader to bite back instead of backing down. It seemed the Alliance Leader had some conscience to back down.

He was the first one to enter the pavilion. After three steps into the building, a small figure blocked him. A girl with long black hair and a mourning outfit stared into his eyes.

The girl had sparkling golden eyes that drew him. With a single glance, he could tell those eyes were more than just beautiful. He was confident those eyes had a special ability, and maybe more than one.

”Who let an underage girl enter our establishment?” Tang Shaoyang questioned the manager.

The girl was unfazed and took one step forward, bowing toward Tang Shaoyang.

”Hello, Sir. My name is Yan Xueyi, the disciple of the Spear God. I sneak into your establishment because I want to talk with you, Sir.”

Tang Shaoyang chuckled to hear another Spear God’s disciple.

”I am here with a proposal that might interest you, Sir. I wish for us to talk privately.”
