Chapter 2124: Senior and Junior Clash

Tang Shaoyang was not surprised to hear that this was the sixth incident after he took over this brothel.

”As expected of my angel,” He gave her a sweet smile, which truly fit with his current face.

That was right, he was wearing a skin mask, a product of the Yang Clan, to help cover Tang Shaoyang since his face was all over the Sacred Realm.

However, he didn’t like the prickly sensation at first, often taking it off when he was inside the pavilion. That was when the workers found out about his real identity. Zara had been taking care of them most of the time.

She rolled her eyes and took the tea from his hand, taking it for herself, ”Why don’t you just replace them all? You are giving me extra boring work.”

”That will make people suspicious of us. Taking over the famous brothel at this time is suspicious enough; replacing all the workers at once will make us even more suspicious.”

The Murim Alliance might not really pay attention to them. However, the local factions would notice the takeover. They might think the new owner of White Mist was part of the Heaven Founder.

The local factions could plant that seed of doubt, accusing them of working for the Heaven Founder to gather information.

Zara shrugged, ”So when will I make our move? Isn’t it about time to make our move now?”

”We will only involve ourselves when the big factions are involved,” Tang Shaoyang shook his head. ”The Heaven Founder is creating chaos, attacking the smaller sects right now. They are trying to divide the Murim Alliance’s force before attacking the big guy.”

”I think the Heaven Founder will start to move in a few days. Just wait a little bit longer.”

The Heaven Founder had prepared their people to attack the north, where the Ice Palace was. That was when they would make their move too.

Zara nodded, but then she recalled something, ”What about Ouyang Biya? Shouldn’t you restrain her a little bit? It’s just a matter of time until she blows your cover if this continues.”

Ouyang Biya was currently investigating the Murim Alliance’s involvement in her family’s fall. She wanted to know whether the Alliance Leader was involved in the affair or not.

The Murim Alliance’s leader was not part of the big factions, a wandering cultivator with no ties with any faction. He was known as Sword God, Zhong Tian Yun, a peak True God Realm cultivator. One of a few who stood at the peak of the Sacred Realm.

Zara’s concern was fair considering how Ouyang Biya lost to Dongfang Jinhai, who was at the 5th-Stage True God Realm. If she got too close or brazen, she might get found out.

”You don’t need to worry about me. I will not get too close to the Alliance Leader. I am not investigating him directly, but the people around him.”

Ouyang Biya came from the balcony, stepping into the room silently. She came in and poured herself a cup of tea.

”Do you have any update on the Heaven Founder on when they will start attacking the remaining great family?”

Tang Shaoyang was about to give the same answer when he told Zara, but the Goddess of Death raised her hand, stopping him.

”It seems we need to straighten up the hierarchy so this girl doesn’t forget that she is serving you, not the opposite.”

Zara finally stopped holding up and voiced her dissatisfaction. In the last two weeks, Ouyang Biya has become brazen. She didn’t mind her being casual with Tang Shaoyang. Most of the spirits were being casual with Tang Shaoyang, joking around, but Ouyang Biya was in another case.

She acted without Tang Shaoyang’s permission and disappeared on her own without telling Tang Shaoyang anything. Investigating Zhang Tian Yun was one of them. Another case was when she tried to follow the head of the Nangong Family a few days ago.

She almost took an action against the Head of the Nangong Family, who was at the 8th-Stage True God Realm. For someone who lost against a 5th-Stage True God Realm, going against an 8th-Stage True God Realm was suicidal.

Tang Shaoyang stopped her before she could do something stupid. She was being recalled and warned about it, but she didn’t reflect on it and kept doing whatever she wanted.

Zara didn’t mind Ouyang Biya being casual around them, but she didn’t like Ouyang Biya’s attitude. Like this one, for example.

The way Ouyang Biya spoke to Tang Shaoyang was like someone speaking to someone lower in status than her. Ouyang Biya came back without saying anything, didn’t know where she was from, or what she was doing. Then she asked as if it was natural for Tang Shaoyang to give her a report about the Heaven Founder.

Tang Shaoyang tolerated her, but she could not. She understood why Tang Shaoyang tolerated her, thinking she was not in the right mental state because of her revenge. But she had a different view on this issue.

Zara had enough of that. ”We need to teach her place before she crosses the line!”

Tang Shaoyang had sensed Zara’s dislike of Ouyang Biya. He could sense her spirit’s emotion, including Ouyang Biya. Ouyang Biya was currently filled with rage, and she just wanted a target to unleash that rage.

The rage swallowed her; everything in her mind was to destroy the Murim Alliance. That emotion made her tunnel vision to only her goal, just for her revenge, which made her oblivious to her obnoxious attitude.

The thing he didn’t expect was Zara’s reaction, not expecting such a strong reaction, and directly confronting Ouyang Biya.

Being blinded with rage and vengeance, Ouyang Biya didn’t try to think about what made Zara angry at her. She threw the teapot and cup that landed on the table smoothly. Then she confronted Zara, not caring about the strength difference between her and Zara.

”Teach me a lesson? Are you sure you can do that?” She let out a manic grin, ”And by the way, who are you to teach me a lesson? My contract is with Tang Shaoyang, not you. He has no issue with me, and why are you getting angry? Who are you really, his mom?”

Zara didn’t do anything rash, looking Ouyang Biya in the eyes. She even licked her lips, seemingly excited. Instead of responding to Ouyang Biya, she turned toward Tang Shaoyang.

”Don’t recall her!” She seemed to be able to read what Tang Shaoyang wanted to do, ”Don’t worry, I am not going to kill. I will be very careful not to kill her, I promise.”
