Chapter 2120: Interesting

Tang Shaoyang intended to finish the fight the moment he opened the Seventh Gate, Heavenly Vermilion. He thought that would be enough to finish the fight. However, a silhouette remained standing in the middle of the pillar of fire.

The silhouette started to move, walking out from the fire. Supreme Guardian Kong was still alive, and he didn’t suffer any injury from the big attack earlier.

His clothes were burnt, revealing his new shiny form. His whole body, from his face down to his feet, turned into a diamond. That was likely the reason he survived the combination of the Heaven Severing Sword and Heavenly Vermilion.

Tang Shaoyang was not disappointed that his attack was completely neutralized. That made him even more excited about the fight. He could no longer hide his grin.

[That’s Divine Grade Technique, Demonic Tyrant Refinement. You should be able to find that technique in your codex. It’s quite rare for someone to master it, but I would say this old man hasn’t reached a perfect mastery over the technique yet.]

Han Taiyang, the Golden Sun Sovereign, chimed in. The cultivator spirit had mellowed, no longer complaining and accepted his fate being cast aside. He had been observing the fight with interest.

Divine Grade Technique was the highest grade technique. He didn’t have a deep knowledge yet about the cultivation, so he didn’t know what it meant aside from the technique being powerful.

”It will be disappointing if he dies so quickly. This is actually better. Show me what is so powerful about a cultivator,” He muttered in excitement.

Third Heavenly Gate - Heavenly Ethereal Shift.

He left behind a vivid afterimage, standing still in the same position while he moved at extreme speed. In Supreme Guardian Kong’s eyes, Tang Shaoyang had not moved yet.

That was when he was caught off guard by Tang Shaoyang, who appeared out of nowhere. That movement technique was similar to teleportation, but leaving a vivid illusion was the plus point. People would easily fall for the trick if it were their first experience facing the technique.

That was what happened to Supreme Guardian Kong. He was caught off guard when Tang Shaoyang suddenly appeared in front of him. When he saw the man in the distance, standing still.

Tang Shaoyang appeared with no sword or battle axe. He also, bare-handed, matched his enemy. His right fist was covered in dark-gold energy.

Third Heavenly Gate - Heavenly Force: Heavenly Crushing Strike.

The fist landed on the old man’s belly and created a loud noise. It was like an indestructible diamond getting hit by a hammer.

The first didn’t crack the diamond body, but that sent the old man flying backward.

Tang Shaoyang used Blink, appearing above the flying Supreme Guardian Kong. This time, he had both his palms covered in Heavenly Energy. A materialization of golden palm also formed behind Tang Shaoyang.

Third Heavenly Gate - Heavenly Force: Heaven Shattering Palm

The golden palm hit Supreme Guardian Kong, crushing him to the ground. Then it was followed with another palm and followed with another palm.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Tang Shaoyang kept sending the golden palm to where Kong Hu was. He only stopped when a pit in the shape of a palm formed on the ground. The pit was deep, thirty meters down to the ground. The pit was dark, but he could see perfectly fine.

Supreme Guardian Kong was back on his feet. His diamond body was fine, flawless, with no crack, even after such a barrage of attacks. However, blood trickled down from the corner of his mouth. He might not suffer external injury, but the Heaven Shattering Palm caused an internal injury.

Tang Shaoyang was surprised, but he was not upset or anything. In fact, his grin got wider. Even though he said he wanted to finish this off quickly, his action didn’t reflect any of that.

He didn’t use Bloodline Transformation, he didn’t use his Absolute Chaos Domain, and most importantly, he didn’t use Absolute Domination Energy. Absolute Domination Energy might work on that diamond body.

”Tch,” Supreme Guardian Kong clicked his tongue, ”It seems the information about you is wrong, huh?”

Of course, the Heaven Founder had information about the new Executive Administrator who created a massive wave in the God Realm with his appearance. However, his information told him that this new Executive Administrator had recently reached God Rank, not even five years.

Considering it was not long ago since Tang Shaoyang entered the God Realm, he didn’t expect the new Executive Administrator to be this strong.

”I don’t think you should trust your information. They only know what I showed them, after all,” Tang Shaoyang winked his right eye at the old man, ”If you want to know how strong I am, shouldn’t you force me to use everything?”

”There’s no need for that. I don’t have much time to play around with you. I will finish you quickly, and let’s see if you can still smile like that when I kill all your people in front of you!”

Tang Shaoyang’s eyes widened slightly, surprised that his Chaos Eyes failed to catch Supreme Guardian Kong’s movement. That was right, he lost sight of the old man with a diamond body, even with his Chaos Eyes.

He kept his composure because he still had his Absolute Sense. That helped him sense the incoming danger. Even when he lost his sight, he had his senses.

’Behind!’

Tang Shaoyang sensed the danger from behind and instantly turned around. Sure enough, the old man was behind him with his fist flying toward his face.

He answered the fist with fist, sending his Heavenly Crushing Strike toward the old man’s fist. Their fist clashed, and Tang Shaoyang was surprised because the sense of danger didn’t disappear even after he neutralized the incoming attack.

He was confused for a moment, and his stomach was hit by a fist. He felt a massive force hitting his stomach, sending him flying backward.

Tang Shaoyang landed on his feet and slid across the ground. It hit him, but he had a passive skill called Chaos Shroud. An evolution skill from Mana Shroud. It was a passive and invisible barrier that fueled his energy. As long as he had energy, it would not go off.

The invisible force hit his invisible barrier. However, Tang Shaoyang could feel the force behind that attack on his body. He was confused because his Chaos Eyes didn’t pick up anything.

If that invisible force was powered by energy, he should be able to see it with his Chaos Eyes. His Chaos Eyes could see the flow of energy, whether it was inside people’s bodies or the energy in the air.

”You should not get distracted while fighting me!” The old man bellowed right from above him.

Tang Shaoyang might get distracted with his thoughts, but his Absolute Sense was a work. He picked the danger from above.

This time, he used Blink to move away and watched the old man’s fist hit the ground. His guess about an invisible force was not wrong, as he heard three booming sounds consecutively.

Again, His Absolute Sense picked up the danger that came from the side, and Tang Shaoyang didn’t run this time. Clashing his fist against the old man’s fist.

The same thing repeated, he was sent flying by something he could not see. He could detect the danger, but he could not see it. It was similar to his Invisible Slash, but he could see his invisible slash because it was fueled with energy, but he could not see the old man’s attack that hit him.

”This is interesting,” He muttered in a low voice. An energy that could not be seen with his Chaos Eyes.

He could not see them coming, but it was not enough to destroy his Chaos Shroud. In the end, it just inflicted a minor pain on his stomach. He purposely received the attack a few times just to find out what it was.

Their figures blurred and moved at extreme speed. They appeared here and there, and each of their clashes caused a shock wave that destroyed their surroundings.

Tang Shaoyang could not see the Supreme Guardian Kong’s movement, but he was able to read it. Occasionally, he would be sent flying by that invisible force.

He hoped to find out what that invisible force was, but it became a drag. After fifteen minutes, he could not figure it out. His shallow knowledge about cultivation didn’t help him in this case. He tried to ask the Golden Sun Sovereign, Han Taiyang.

[I am not sure] That was his answer.

Tang Shaoyang didn’t know if Han Taiyang didn’t want to tell him out of pettiness, or if he genuinely didn’t know. He figured out that Ouyang Biya might know something about this old man.

”Alright, let’s end this now.”

”Don’t get ahead of yourself, outsider! You will die in my hands today!” A massive sword made of blue energy formed above Tang Shaoyang.

Supreme Guardian Kong created the reason why Tang Shaoyang got distracted.

”DIE!”

The sword shot toward Tang Shaoyang as he yelled it out.
