Chapter 2132: A New Development (1)

Tang Shaoyang was not worried about the Palace Mistress and the Elders of the Ice Palace revolting. Bing Lianxin would do everything to persuade them to join his side. Not just because of the oath she made, but also because of the Ethereal Frost and the Grandmaster Codex.

He didn’t need to wait that long for the answer to come to him. Not even half an hour since he sat on the Yang Clan’s estate, Bing Lianxin came over with the Palace Mistress and the other Elders.

Palace Mistress Bing Ruohan, three Grand Elders, and the Elders took a divine oath just like Bing Lianxin. However, only the Palace Mistress and the four Grand Elders were appointed as the Grandmaster, meaning only five of them could take a peek at the Grandmaster Codex.

As for their new name, they accepted Ice Pavilion as their new identity. And the reason they accepted the deal was because of the Ethereal Frost more than the Grandmaster Codex.

Palace Mistress Bing Ruohan and the three Grand Elders asked Tang Shaoyang to show them the Ethereal Frost before taking the Divine Oath.

With that, one of the Major Factions became part of the Thousand Vows Pavilion.

Mo Tianshen, the hailed figure of the Heaven Founder, the Supreme Being, sat on his throne and listened to the complete report that his right hand brought back after they came back empty-handed.

They finally got information about the mysterious group that interfered with their plan. They called themselves the Thousand Vows Pavilion.

Mo Tianshen heard that name, a legend, a myth that was almost forgotten until his subordinate mentioned it not long ago. The one who mentioned that name was dead, Supreme Guardian Kong Guiying. The one who sent Ouyang Biya to retrieve the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s inheritance.

That was when things started to go wrong with their grand plan. He lost the woman he loved, the woman he chose to bear his successor. Now that name came back to him, as if a ghost was haunting him.

This was when things started to get weird. His trusted subordinate, Duan Zhong, mentioned that Ouyang Biya was still alive, and she betrayed them to join the Thousand Vows Pavilion.

It didn’t make sense. If she betrayed them, the Soul Candle would not go out. If she betrayed them, she would receive a massive backlash, and the Soul Candle would snap instead of going off.

On top of that, he would know if it was a betrayal. The Soul Candle was a treasure and technique he developed himself. He knew it inside and out, and he had a hidden mechanism that he never told anyone. He could tell if someone died or betrayed him even without checking the candle.

Back then, he felt that Ouyang Biya was dead. So it didn’t make sense, and he started to think about what Ouyang Biya told his trusted subordinate. She told Duan Zhong that she was a spirit.

He could put aside The Thousand Vows Pavilion and Ouyang Biya’s issue, but there was something concerning about this mysterious group. The fact that they could move out a whole sect, something big like the Ice Palace, to disappear without a trace was the most concerning in the report.

That made him rethink whether he should continue the campaign he started with such a big variable in his way. The mysterious group didn’t openly act hostile against the Heaven Founder, but they kept interfering with their plan.

Another thing that bothered me was how this mysterious group summoned hundreds of demons that were on par with the True God Realm. That was how this mysterious group forced his people to retreat.

Another thing that didn’t make sense to him, but he had an idea where this mysterious group came from. This mysterious group was not a cultivator. They were outsiders and came to the Sacred Realm to create chaos.

Another important thing was that the mysterious group didn’t intend to destroy the Heaven Founder. If this mysterious group ordered the demon to fight, the Heaven Founder would suffer a big loss. That would cripple the Heaven Founder, and they had to stay low for a while to recover.

However, they didn’t attack Supreme Guardian Duan Zhong and the others. That made him question this mysterious group’s motive. What were they doing in the Sacred Realm?

Mo Tianshen assumed they tried to create chaos, but he might be wrong, considering they didn’t attack him. With such a big variable appearing out of nowhere, he could not continue his grand plan as it was.

He needed to get rid of this mysterious group, but it was almost impossible when he could not find them. He doubted he had the force to fight the mysterious group and the Murim Alliance.

If he could not get rid of the mysterious group, then he needed to talk with them. Since he could not get rid of them, it was better to reach a compromise with them.

This mysterious group might look like something in the Sacred. If he could give them that something, he might get their help in their fight against the Murim Alliance. That might be better than fighting the mysterious.

”Let’s put our plan on hold for now. Search for that mysterious group, but don’t fight them. I want to meet them. I want to meet with the Thousand Vows Pavilion, send that message to them!”

Supreme Guardian Duan Zhong expected the Supreme Being to get angry at them, even killed a few Guardians on top just to vent out his anger. Especially when the issue involved Ouyang Biya. He didn’t expect to hear such a calm response.

From the way Lord Mo Tianshen spoke, he didn’t sound mad. It sounded like a genuine proposal that he wanted to meet with the mysterious group.

Supreme Guardian Duan Zhong wanted to ask what his lord’s plan was against this mysterious group. But he quickly threw that idea away. It was already good that the Supreme Being didn’t get mad and kill his own people for their failure.

Duan Zhong left with the others, leaving the Supreme Being alone in his throne.

”The Administrator might know something about this mysterious group,” Mo Tianshen muttered when everyone left.

He got the information about the Thousand Vows Pavilion from the administrator, and he also heard that one of the higher-ups in the Administrator tried to get the Thousand Vows Pavilion.

The mysterious group might be related to the administrator, and he might be able to meet them more quickly.

Mo Tianshen reached his connection with the administrator with the hope that this would help him to conquer the Sacred Realm.
