Chapter 2107: Guardian Quan

Being playful was Nikolas’ nature, despite his age and the experiences he had before his death. What he said about cultivation was just a joke, not his true thoughts about the cultivation.

As for why he killed the God Realm in one shot? That was never his intention. He didn’t know how strong the God Realm was, and he could not possibly guess how much power he needed to adjust not to kill that person. Since he didn’t know how strong the God Realm cultivator was, he just shot one of his powerful skills.

That killed the person in one shot, killing the people who foolishly stood behind him. That one strike killed more than fifty people.

Nikolas then turned back to the enemy after that shout, scanning them with a frown. He didn’t have Detection skill, so he must use his instinct to pick up his next opponent.

To his surprise, instead of fighting him or attacking him together, the remaining people turned against him and tried to escape. It was as if they had reached an agreement without saying it out loud.

However, they were surprised by two figures who already stood behind them. A figure with heavy black-plated armor, and the second one wore silver armor. They recognized the two figures, the one who stood on the wall.

Ruben and Jovrick left the wall right after Nikolas jumped down, knowing the result of the fight even before Nikolas landed his strike.

”I don’t really like it when we are fighting people who are weaker than us. It just doesn’t right,” Ruben muttered.

”You’d better get your mindset right, Ruben. If we switch places with them, do you think they will feel bad?” Jovrick replied with a deep voice, ”Save your feelings for your comrades and friends, not your enemy. However, even your friend could turn against you anytime.”

The last part was based on Jovrick’s experience. He had overcome his past when he got his revenge, but he would not forget that past.

”I guess so...” Ruben could not deny that, ”Then let’s make it quick instead. And let me rephrase my first comment. I don’t really enjoy fighting against people who are weaker than me.”

As he said that, he sheathed his broadsword. He raised it to the air and swung it down. Before the Bloodshadow Pavilion’s people could get closer to him, a massive force landed on them. A lot of bodies got split into two as the force split the ground.

Jovrick responded with a shrug as he made a high leap, landing between the enemies. In fact, he landed on a person, breaking his neck and killing him instantly. He raised his right hand to the air, and a dark flame burst out from the ground. Not many were spared from the flame as it spread out quickly, catching them off guard.

They came with 500-600 people, and within three attacks, they were reduced to less than a hundred. What happened next was that Jovrick, Ruben, and Nikolas picked them off one by one, chasing after the escaped rabbit. This time, they didn’t leave anyone alive, killing them all and burning their remains into dust. The fight settled down within a few minutes.

Yang Bao witnessed everything from the start. This was the reason why he insisted on joining the group instead of staying with his people. He wanted to see how they handled the second attack, and it scared him. This fight gave him a scare, thinking about what he did against their Lord.

”The second attack came so quickly,” Gianni recalled the time when he cleaned up the first attacker and the second attack’s arrival. The second attack came ten minutes after they wiped out the first attack.

”Is the Bloodshadow Pavilion’s base close to this place?” He turned toward Yang Bao and asked.

Yang Bao stammered for a moment, ”I... They...” he immediately closed his mouth and tried to calm down, gathering his thoughts, ”N-no... N-not that close. I-it’s about a week-long trip to get to the Bloodshadow Pavilion.”

”Even if you fly?”

”It’s still depending on how quick our flying sword is and our understanding of the technique. But yeah, flying will shorten the trip by a few days. However, I doubt they come from the Bloodshadow Pavilion. They might be ready nearby and come when we defeat the first attack.”

He was relieved that he was no longer stuttering. It was quite embarrassing for him to fumble in front of Lady Ouyang Biya.

A flying sword was an artifact, and one needed to master the technique to use it. That was what Yang Bao tried to tell. He didn’t explain it further because it was common knowledge among the cultivators. However, Gianni was not a cultivator.

He acquired this knowledge at the same time as his new master, and he didn’t really have any interest in this cultivation. The explanation really didn’t help him, but he gained the information he wanted. They didn’t come from the Bloodshadow Pavilion.

”Or they might be using the Teleportation Formation. We don’t have our teleportation portal, but we have developed something else to replace it. The teleportation scroll, the teleportation formation, and even a technique for short-distance teleportation,” Ouyang Biya added.

”What I am trying to say is, it’s possible for them to come directly from the Bloodshadow Pavilion.”

”You cultivators are indeed fools,” Gianni was convinced that the cultivator was a stubborn fool. ”You have the easiest way to have teleportation, and you instead develop something useless instead of spending that time on something else.”

The old man waved his hand when Ouyang Biya tried to defend the cultivator, ”Don’t bother. You can’t change my mind.”

Then he shot a glance at his grandson, annoyed, ”And you, why did you kill that person? We should dig deeper into that person. He seems to know about all this farce. If we can extract information from him, we can get rid of the people who want to get rid of Ouyang Biya’s people.”

”Not only are we in the dark right now, but we are revealing ourselves. The Heaven Founder might delay their plan if they find out about us and try to fight us instead.”

Nikolas just grinned silly, shrugging at his grandfather’s scolding, ”Oh come, grandpa. It’s not my fault that he is too weak. He is God Realm, and I thought he was equal to the God Rank. If he has a God Rank, that attack is not enough to kill him.”

Gianni clicked his tongue. ”I am genuinely wondering how the Lysvand Family could survive in your era.”

”Let’s try to lure the people behind the Bloodshadow Pavilion instead. I have Jet and Zephyr following the five people we let escape. We will get rid of this Bloodshadow Pavilion,” Tang Shaoyang planned this for a quiet and sneaky trip, trying not to catch the people from the Sacred Realm’s attention. But since things had gone this way, he might as well do it his way.

”What!?” Nikolas and Jovrick were shocked to hear that. Ruben also frowned. Their reaction was quite funny, ”But how?” Nikolas asked.

He asked about how five people could escape from them.

Tang Shaoyang pointed at Zara with his thumb, ”She teleported those five people out of the battle. I am surprised you didn’t notice it.”

Nikolas, Jovrick, and Ruben looked toward Zara, who waved her hand at them with a bright smile. She was mocking them for failing to notice the space distortion she created to help those five people escape.

In the dark cave, a man with a black robe sat cross-legged on a stone with his eyes closed, meditating. He opened his eyes when he heard the sound of footsteps. Annoyance flashed in his eyes, and the sound was getting louder and louder until a figure appeared.

”You’d better have important information to disturb me right now.”

The figure immediately got on his knee, lowering his head, ”We lost contact with the people we sent to the Bloodshadow Pavilion.”

The man in the black robe furrowed his brow. It was not important for him to be informed about this, but it was not totally worthless, well. However, he still felt it was unnecessary to disturb him when they could take care of it on their own.

”We have sent our people to check what happens in the Bloodshadow Pavilion, but we also lost contact with them, without getting any information on what happened in the Bloodshadow Pavilion. We have lost four groups: one Frog Squad, two Snake Squads, and one Eagle Squad.”

The man finally understood why his subordinate came to disturb him. This truly needed his attention as it meant they could not take the natural vein under the Yang Clan’s town.

That natural vein was important for his cultivation, and he needed it. That was why he sent the Bloodshadow Pavilion to take it over after he heard the news of Ouyang Biya’s death. That was a good riddance because that b*tch didn’t deserve the resources poured into her.

The black-robed man stood up from the stone, no longer in the mood for meditating, ”Send two Eagle Squads along with one Tiger Squad this time. Find out what happens!”

”Yes, Lord Guardian Quan.”
