Chapter 2113: A Girl and Her Purpose

Tang Shaoyang glanced at Ouyang Biya and said, ”I don’t know the Heaven Founder has such a grand goal.”

Ouyang Biya never told him about that. His impression of the Heaven Founder was just another force that wanted to be in power to replace the Murim Alliance. He didn’t know that they had such an ambition to continue their old war.

Tang Shaoyang agreed with this man’s thoughts. The Murim Alliance was the reason why they were behind. The fact that they despised the System itself instead of taking it to the full advantage.

That was an example; the Murim Alliance was the reason the Sacred Realm became stagnant. They were stubborn in sticking to their custom and refused to adapt.

This actually made him curious about the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s stance in the Murim Alliance. How the Thousand Vows Pavilion was viewed by the people in the Sacred Realm.

”That’s not our main objective! Taking over the Sacred Realm is our main goal. However, a lot of people joined the Heaven Founder for different reasons. My reason is revenge, which aligns with the Heaven Founder’s purpose. His goal also aligned with the Heaven Founder, maybe.”

Ouyang Biya shrugged. People with different kinds of motives joined the Heaven Founder. For some, joining the Heaven Founder might be their only way to survive. But not little people with similar motives as her in joining the Heaven Founder.

In other words, the people united under the Heaven Founder for different reasons, and they might achieve their goal by destroying the Murim Alliance.

”Shouldn’t we leave now?” Gianni would like to watch how the cultivator fought the top-level cultivators. However, they were not supposed to join the fray this early.

”I don’t think someone wants to leave right now,” Tang Shaoyang replied while giving Ouyang Biya a glance.

Ouyang Biya was so hyper-focused on Dongfang Jinhai. Even after the attack started, she didn’t look away from her target. If not for him, she might have been there and started a fight with Dongfang Jinhai.

Faction: Dongfang Family - Murim Alliance

Status: Clan Head

Profession: ???

Dongfang Jinhai was actually the highest-ranked cultivator that they encountered so far. He was stronger than Ouyang before she became a spirit.

However, the Heaven Founder was prepared. Among the people who flew in the sky, one of them was at the 5th Stage True God Realm, and two of them were actually at the 3rd-Stage True God Realm.

”No one can leave this place! We, the Heaven Founder, are not a lawless place. We are generous and give you a choice, a way to leave this place intact!”

The person seemed to overhear Gianni’s voice, ”You only have two choices. Join the Heaven Founder and help us transform the Sacred Realm into a better place. Or you can be the sacrifice for the Heaven Founder. A revolution needs sacrifice, after all.”

All of a sudden, the attention was on Tang Shaoyang’s group. At first, Dongfang Jinhai thought Tang Shaoyang’s group was part of the attackers because they were not attacked.

The person who led the attack from the Heaven Founder had similar thoughts. They thought Tang Shaoyang’s group was a sect or faction under the Murim Alliance. Even though they were in the middle of a slaughter, this group maintained their composure, revealing their resilience as a top faction.

”Who are you?” Dongfang Jinhai questioned Tang Shaoyang’s group when he found out that they were not part of the Heaven Founder.

The question surprised the Heaven Founder’s side as well.

Tang Shaoyang smiled, ”Don’t mind us. You can just continue whatever you want to do. We are just spectators that get swept in.”

The 5th-Stage True God Realm from the Heaven Founder gave a glance at his people who had the venue surrounded. They got the signal as the black-clothed group rushed to surround Tang Shaoyang’s group.

”You better tell me who you are and which faction you come from! You better answer unless you want—”

Before he could finish his words, Jovrick, Ruben, Gianni, Mathias, and Nikolas moved first. Their figures blurred, and when they reappeared, the people who surrounded them were on the floor.

They didn’t have the reason to jump into the fight before because that was not the plan. But that man gave them a reason to make a move. They knew their Master didn’t like being threatened.

Tang Shaoyang clicked his tongue several times, shaking his head, ”You should focus on your goal instead of me. I told you we are just spectators.”

The 5th-Stage True God Realm’s eyes widened in shock, and that shock turned into fury, ”Fool! Do you think you can—”

Again, before he could finish his words, someone made a move. Nikolas appeared in front of him, and no one noticed him until he appeared in front of the 5th-Stage True God Realm. His spear was shrouded in dark-violet energy.

Nikolas was using the same skill when he killed someone from the Heaven Founder in front of the Yang Clan’s town. This would be a measurement of the difference between the God Realm and the True God Realm.

The 5th-Stage True God Realm reacted calmly as a sword appeared in his right hand. He raised his sword to the air. At that moment, hundreds of golden swords spread like a fan behind him.

”You are good, but let’s see if you are good enough to survive this!” Nikolas thrust his spear forward.

The 5th-Stage True God Realm didn’t stay still as he made a swing motion toward Nikolas. The hundreds of golden swords flew toward Nikolas. The golden swords swirled at each other in the air and shot toward Nikolas.

The spear and the golden sword clashed and created a massive explosion. Two different energies clashed and swept the venue.

Then a figure was flung down and crashed into the spectator’s seat. Nikolas had a surprised look on his face, not expecting that he would lose the exchange to this extent. He purposely reduced the power behind his attack, afraid that it might one-shot the enemy again.

Nikolas got back on his feet quickly and glanced toward Tang Shaoyang’s direction. There was a hole in his robe, right on his chest. However, there was no visible wound, and there was no internal injury as well.

”If you are going to play around and embarrass the Lysvand Family, then you’d better stay still and let Mathias fight instead!” Gianni was genuinely upset that his grandson was beaten.

”Ai, you know it, grandpa. That’s just a probe, and I will take it seriously from now on. I just don’t want to kill him in one strike again. Now I know he’s quite durable and might survive for a few minutes. I will take this fight seriously.”

Nikolas kept his cool while making a silly smile. But the moment he turned toward his opponent, that silly smile disappeared.

”Bring the fight somewhere else!” Gianni reminded his grandson that their lord’s wives who were not of God Rank were here with them.

Even though Zara and Avyn stayed with them all the time, it was still better safe than sorry. His grandson caught on and nodded.

”Let’s go somewhere else, shall we?” Nikolas’ figure blurred once more. His movement gave his opponent a hard time. Even the 5th-Stage True God Realm was struggling to keep up with Nikolas.

Nikolas appeared five meters away from the 5th-Stage True God Realm. His opponent was in motion to respond to him, but he activated his domain and brought his enemy somewhere else. The two figures disappeared without a trace.

That shocked the people from the Heaven Founder. The shock quickly turned into a realization that they were the strongest, and he was gone now. That realization brought fear to them because they didn’t have anyone who could match the head of the Dongfang Family.

The fear slowly turned into panic. It was obvious even though they tried to suppress it.

Dongfang Jinhai was also surprised, not expecting the mysterious group to take their side. He felt uneasy when the attacker didn’t recognize this mysterious group. He was relieved that the mysterious group sided with the Murim Alliance.

”The Dongfang Family and the Murim Alliance are grateful for your help. If you can assist us through this crisis, the Dongfang Family and the Murim Alliance will give you proper compensation for your assistance.”

Dongfang Jinhai took this chance to rope the mysterious group to his side. He thought they would accept his offer and fought the Heaven Founder together since one of them had already fought the Heaven Founder.

Ouyang Biya walked down from her spot, ”Don’t get ahead of yourself, Dongfang Jinhai!”

Her voice echoed through the venue, and they could feel the hatred in her tone. That caught Dongfang Jinhai off guard.

Ouyang Biya pulled off her cloak and veil, revealing a stunning look underneath. Her beauty took the Murim Alliance by surprise; some of them got entranced by her.

However, the people from the Heaven Founder were shocked as well. The people who floated in the sky recognized her, especially the two Guardians. The two 3rd-Stage True God Realms were the Guardians, and they recognized Ouyang Biya right away.

”You are still alive, Guardian Ouyang!?” The two called her name out.

Each guardian was marked with an artifact called the Soul Candle. The Soul Candle was to monitor the Guardian, whether they were alive or dead.

The news of Guardian Ouyang Biya’s death was spread, and they confirmed it when her Soul Candle went off. No one suspected her death as a betrayal until they saw Guardian Ouyang Biya was still alive in front of them.

”Ouyang!?” Dongfang Jinhai was shocked to hear that name.

The people with that name were supposedly not alive anymore. He made sure to hunt them down, whether they were related to the Ouyang Family or not. That was a measure to secure his family in the Murim Alliance.

Then he remembered that during the attack, there was a little girl who managed to escape from them. He didn’t think that much back then since she was just a little girl. What could a little girl do against the Dongfang Family?

Of course, he kept sending people to search for this little girl. But he didn’t worry that her existence would be a threat to the Dongfang Family.

That little girl now appeared in front of him, and he was surprised that she had reached the True God Realm as well.

”That’s right. I am the last member of the Ouyang Family... No, let me correct it. The Ouyang Family has perished. There’s no one to continue the Ouyang Family’s line anymore. I am just a spirit, and I exist for a single purpose: to avenge the Ouyang Family. I am here to claim your head, not to help you!”
