World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

Evan was startled when the grass field suddenly disappeared and looked at the empty patch of land below him with a dumbfounded look.

”What’s going on here?” He muttered under his breath, flapping his Wings of Wind to maintain his flight.

Just then, he noticed a strange power trying to affect his mind.

When he was inside the grass field, the power of the Dream Forest couldn’t affect him even if he flew high in the sky.

But now that it had disappeared, the power of the Dream Forest once again began to affect him.

”It seems that the grass field really disappeared after I got the third shard...” Evan said to himself before landing to the side so that his mind wouldn’t be affected by the power of the Dream Forest.

As soon as he came down, the strange power stopped affecting him.

”Since this grass field disappeared, then does it mean the other grass fields, including the previous two and the fourth one, also disappeared?” As he thought of this, Evan couldn’t help but frown.

He did not care about the other grass fields, but the fourth one was different as he still needed to go there to get the last shard of the Entrance Authority Token.

Taking out the map that he had obtained earlier, Evan looked at it to see the location of the fourth grass field.

But to his surprise, he found that the fourth map didn’t lead to another grass field.

Instead, the place marked on the map looked like a cave entrance.

Moreover, this place was not far away from his current location. With his current speed, he would be able to reach there by tomorrow.

”Will I get the last shard in this cave?” Evan thought to himself before deciding to go and check it out himself.

He put away the map and took out the Skill Scroll he had obtained earlier.

”Hope it will be something useful,” He muttered and looked at its information.

---) Invisibility (Rank One Level 5 Active Skill): Upon activation, conceals the aura and presence of its user and makes them invisible for ten seconds. The skill will be dispelled if the user attacks during the time of invisibility. Consumes 30 Mana Points to activate. Cooldown time: 20 seconds.

Evan read the details of the skill and raised an eyebrow.

”This skill seems to be similar to the one those Shadow Cats used...” He muttered and, after thinking for a moment, decided to learn it.

Not only could it give him another way to take his enemies by surprise, but in case of danger, he could use it to escape as well.

Evan crushed the scroll, and it turned into illusory light particles. Then, these light particles were absorbed into his body.

[You have learned Rank One Level 5 Active Skill: Invisibility.]

[You have learned an external active skill. You can learn one more external active skill.]

Evan ignored the notifications and used his newly learned skill.

Thirty Mana Points were consumed, and his figure disappeared from the place.

’It is better than I imagined...’ Evan tried to sense his own presence and nodded. ’Its effect is far stronger in my hands compared to the Shadow Cats. It must be because my Magic Points are far higher than theirs.’

Soon, ten seconds passed, and Evan once again appeared in the same place.

After testing his new skill, he looked in the direction he had to go according to the map and started walking towards it.

He had just walked for a few minutes when he suddenly sensed a group of magical beasts ahead of him.

After thinking for a moment, he walked towards them.

Soon, Evan came before the group of magical beasts. It was a group of strange-looking magical beasts that looked like a mixture of lions and crocodiles.

There were a total of ten magical beasts, with two of them being Rank One while the rest were unranked.

When these magical beasts saw someone suddenly appear before them, they all stopped and looked at Evan with eyes filled with hostility.

ROAR! ROAR!

The Rank One magical beasts let out threatening roars, warning him to go away.

But Evan just looked at them calmly, and the next second, his figure suddenly disappeared.

The group of magical beasts was startled when they saw this, and they all started looking around to search for Evan.

But even after looking everywhere, they didn’t find anything.

Evan calmly stood in the same place he was before, watching the reaction of these magical beasts.

’So I can easily evade the senses of even Rank One magical beasts.’ He thought and moved a little closer to one of the Rank One magical beasts.

Soon, Evan was standing just one meter away from it, but it still didn’t sense anything.

Seeing the effect of Invisibility, a smile couldn’t help but appear on Evan’s face.

’As my Magic stat grows, this skill will only become more powerful...’ He thought and chuckled inwardly.

If Evan wanted, he could easily kill this group of magical beasts. But considering even the highest-level beast among them was only Level 39, he knew he wouldn’t receive anything from them, so he didn’t do anything.

Soon, ten seconds passed, and Evan appeared before the magical beasts once again.

”Woah!!” Evan shouted loudly, and the magical beast, which was standing just one meter away from him, was so scared that it jumped up in fright, nearly getting a heart attack.

Evan laughed when he saw this, and the next second, his figure disappeared from there.

The Rank One magical beast pranked by Evan stood there with a stiff body, its eyes filled with fear.

But soon, it came back to its senses and saw that all the other magical beasts were looking at it mockingly.

Rarr~~

The poor magical beast made a strange sound in anger after seeing that even the unranked magical beasts were looking at it mockingly.

Hearing its anger-filled sound, all the unranked magical beasts lowered their heads, but their eyes were still gleaming with the light of gossip, wanting to spread this piece of news to their community.

Not knowing that he had made a poor magical beast lose face in front of its brothers, Evan continued to go toward the location indicated on the map.

Soon, nighttime arrived, and he once again climbed onto a tall tree to rest for the night.

Since he was already quite deep in the forest, Evan set up an alarm in case any magical beast tried to climb up the tree while he slept.

After setting up the alarm, he sat down on top of the tree and took out some food to eat.

’I wonder what will I find at the location marked on the map...’ He thought while eating, his eyes filled with anticipation.

Soon, he finished eating and went to sleep.

Nothing happened during the night, and soon, morning arrived.

After eating breakfast, Evan continued to move towards the location marked on the map, and after five hours, he finally reached his destination.
