World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

”You mean you are not part of this organization?”

”Fortunately, I have a bit of brain, so yes, I am not part of your stupid organization.” Evan nodded as he packed the tent.

”This...” Elena looked at Lia, who immediately explained.

”Leader had thought about recruiting Big Brother, but it turned out that his talent wasn’t up to par. So, in the end, he wasn’t able to join the organization.”

Lia said this with a bit of regret, genuinely feeling bad that Evan wasn’t able to join the organization.

Evan simply rolled his eyes because he knew it must be another lie that old man had told her.

Elena’s mouth also twitched upon hearing Lia’s explanation.

’So he didn’t join because he already knew it was a pit...’ She thought inwardly, already realizing what was happening.

”Alright, get ready. We are leaving.”

Hearing Evan’s words, Elena finally remembered that she still had to contact her family after going to Sky Pearl City, so she stopped thinking about useless things.

She looked at Thomas and James, who were still tied to a tree with their hands handcuffed. Evan and Elena walked toward them and untied the rope, but didn’t unlock the handcuffs that prevented them from using mana.

Both of them were already awake, but because of their broken condition, they couldn’t even speak properly.

Evan and Elena didn’t bother to speak with them and using the ropes tied around their waists, they dragged them like sacks.

Anyways, as Rank One Evolvers, they wouldn’t die simply from being dragged along the ground.

As for dragging them all the way, it was Elena’s job. She was also a Rank One Evolver and was strong enough to drag them without feeling anything.

It was only because she was injured last night that she had been running away from them. If not, she would have been able to deal with them.

Evan looked at the clear sky and narrowed his eyes slightly.

If he went to Sky Pearl City using Wind Wings, he would reach there in two or three hours at most.

But now that Elena was also with them, along with two dead baggages, he couldn’t go there by flying and needed to walk.

”If you feel tired, just tell me, okay?” Evan said to Lia, who nodded obediently.

Once everything was ready, they immediately began walking toward Sky Pearl City.

”Do you live in Sky Pearl City?” Elena asked Evan while they were walking.

Evan shook his head.

”I live near Rivo City...” He pointed at Lia beside him. ”It’s your Vice Leader who lives here.”

Elena’s eyes twitched slightly at Evan’s words, but she decided to ignore his sarcasm at the end.

”Is she your relative?” She asked again, looking at Lia curiously.

”No, I am just escorting her to Sky Pearl City,” Evan answered while keeping his attention on the surrounding area with the help of Wind Detection.

While flying, he didn’t need to bother with his surroundings, as he could see everything clearly.

But now that he was on the ground, he needed to be extra careful.

”Escorting her?” Elena looked at him in confusion.

Evan thought for a moment before explaining Lia’s situation to her. He told her how he had met her in the Dark Forest and what had happened with the guards.

Since she said her family had a lot of influence and she could even contact them from Sky Pearl City, he felt it might make things easier to handle once they reached the city.

Elena listened to everything silently, but when Evan mentioned Anna and William, a look of surprise appeared on her face.

”You met Anna and William?”

Evan raised an eyebrow upon hearing her.

”Do you know them?”

”If the ones you are talking about are brother and sister, and Anna has a healing skill, then yes, I know them.”

’It seems she really knows them...’ Evan nodded inwardly upon hearing this, as Anna really did have a healing skill.

’It seems both of them are also from a noble family...’ He thought with a shake of his head but didn’t care too much about it and continued to explain Lia’s situation.

”So the guard who helped the kidnappers is also in Sky Pearl City?” Elena asked after Evan finished telling her everything.

”I am not sure...” Evan shook his head and frowned slightly. ”It is possible that he might have already escaped. I will find out after reaching the city.”

”Don’t worry...” Elena patted her chest and spoke in a reassuring voice. ”If that guy is still there, I will definitely help you. I may not look like this, but I actually have a lot of influence.”

”OH!” Evan nodded but didn’t say anything because, after seeing her earlier actions, he had little doubt about this girl’s intelligence.

In his eyes, she was a beauty, a beauty with no brain at all.

After walking for around two hours, they took a break to rest for some time.

Although Evan and Elena were fine, Lia was just a normal ten-year-old human, so she couldn’t walk for too long without getting tired.

After resting for some time and eating something, Evan picked her up and carried her on his shoulder before continuing toward Sky Pearl City.

During their journey, they didn’t encounter any Magical Beasts, which confused Elena because normally, they would encounter one or two Magical Beasts around this area.

But unknown to her, the reason they didn’t encounter a Magical Beast was because Evan had killed every single one of them the moment they entered the range of his Wind Detection.

After walking for a long time, at around four in the afternoon, they could finally see Sky Pearl City in the distance.

Seeing the city, Elena sighed and dragged the two packages with force.

”It took longer than I expected...” She sighed, looking at the city.

Evan nodded and looked at Lia at his side.

Her eyes were shining after finally seeing her home again after such a long time, but there was also a little fear in her eyes because of what had happened the last time she was in the city.

Evan patted her head and said softly, ”You don’t need to fear. If you see that guard again, just tell me, and I will give him a good beating for you.”

Lia recalled the strength Evan had shown till now and immediately nodded, feeling reassured.

The group walked toward the city and soon reached closer to its entrance.

’I hope that guard is still inside the city...’ Evan thought as a cold gleam flashed in his eyes.
