World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

Evan pointed one of his fingers at David, who was lying to the side, and a wind bullet shot forward.

Elena was stunned by his sudden action, but she didn’t say anything.

Puchi!

The bullet pierced through David’s head and instantly destroyed his brain, killing him without even giving him a chance to scream.

[You have killed Rank One Level 31 David.]

Although Evan had already expected this result, his eyes still couldn’t help but twitch when he saw that he hadn’t received anything after killing this weak guy.

’I have a feeling that the other three will be the same...’ He thought before shooting another wind bullet.

[You have killed Rank One Level 30 Lucas.]

’Sure enough, I am already far too strong to receive anything from these weaklings.’

Evan sighed and stared thoughtfully at Thomas and James.

”Ummm... Can you spare one of them?”

Just as he was thinking about what to do with the remaining two, Elena’s voice reached his ears.

Evan snapped out of his thoughts and looked at her.

”I know it’s a bit inappropriate, but if you can spare one of them, it would be really helpful to me. I am still not sure who these people are or how they managed to bribe one of my guards. Once people from my family arrive, I will be able to get important information from them.”

Evan nodded at her words and shrugged.

”Sure. I will leave these two for you.”

He wasn’t getting anything from them anyway, so Evan didn’t really mind sparing them.

Elena was surprised by how easily Evan agreed and spoke gratefully.

”Thank you.”

Evan shook his head and suddenly thought of something.

”Are you perhaps a noble whose family has a lot of influence and power?”

Elena didn’t understand why he was asking this question, but she still nodded.

”If you are talking about influence and power, my family really does have a lot of it.”

Hearing her words, a look of understanding flashed in Evan’s eyes.

”As expected. Some low-level villain hired people to kidnap the daughter of a high-ranking noble so they could ask for something valuable in exchange for her.”

”What?” Evan’s voice was very low, so Elena wasn’t able to hear him.

Seeing the somewhat confused look on her face, Evan suddenly remembered that she didn’t have any knowledge about the Dao of Villain that his grandfather had taught him since childhood so he coughed lightly and quickly changed the subject.

”Nothing. I was just talking to myself.” He paused for a moment before asking,

”So, what will you do after reaching Sky Pearl City? Will you still go to the Capital?”

”I don’t know. I will contact my family when I reach Sky Pearl City and see what they say,” Elena replied in a gloomy voice.

Evan nodded and stood up, walking toward Thomas and James.

He took out two pairs of handcuffs from his Storage Ring and bound both of them.

These handcuffs were similar to the ones that Charles had used on John in the Dark Forest. Now, even if these two people woke up, they wouldn’t be able to use mana.

Evan had asked Max for a few pairs when he visited Rivo City before leaving because he thought they might come in handy if he ever needed to stop someone from using mana.

After putting the handcuffs on Thomas and James, Evan finally sat down to rest.

Elena was sitting near the campfire, not too far away from him.

When Evan looked at her, he noticed that there were still many injuries covering her body.

”You don’t have any healing potions?” Elena gave an awkward look and shook her head.

”I lost my Spatial Ring while running.”

Evan took out a healing potion from his Storage Ring and casually threw it toward her.

Of course, it was a normal healing potion that he had drunk like water when he was in the Dark Forest, not one of the special ones that his grandmother had given him before he left.

After all, although he had many of them, no one could ever have enough high-quality healing potions.

Elena once again thanked him and couldn’t help but sigh, feeling that she was using these two words very often.

Evan looked at how she drank the potion without thinking twice and shook his head.

’This girl is really simple-minded. She isn’t even thinking about what if I had fed her something wrong.’

Although people could see the information of items using their Status Window, he could clearly see that this girl didn’t bother with any of that and directly drank the potion.

’Well, it’s better to stay with a simple-minded person than someone who might be smiling on the outside but have other schemes in their mind.’

As Elena drank the healing potion, a warm energy spread through her body, relieving her injuries.

Feeling the warm current flowing through her body, Elena finally breathed a sigh of relief. Although she had been enduring the pain of her injuries, she had been almost about to cry because of how painful they were.

As the healing potion took effect, Elena began to feel sleepy and soon dozed off while sitting near the campfire.

Evan looked at her and couldn’t help but shake his head helplessly.

He did not wake her up and continued to keep watch using his Wind Detection skill.

Around an hour later, Evan sensed a Magical Beast enter his detection range and took advantage of it to dispose of the two dead bodies.

When Elena woke up the next morning, she saw Evan sitting near the campfire with Lia, preparing breakfast.

She quickly stood up when she realized that she was the only one who was still sleeping.

Seeing her hurriedly get up, Lia laughed.

”Big Sister, you should sleep a little longer. Breakfast isn’t ready yet.”

Evan had told Lia earlier that Elena was being chased by those thieves, so the little girl wasn’t afraid of her like she had been last night.

Elena felt a bit embarrassed upon hearing Lia’s slightly teasing voice and wiped the drool from her mouth.

Evan also looked at Lia in surprise.

”Who taught you to tease other people, Lia?”

”Villain Grandfather taught me many things while you were away for training.”

Lia replied innocently while looking at the embarrassed Elena.

Evan suddenly stopped what he was doing and looked at her with trembling eyes.

”Don’t tell me he asked you to join his organization and promised to teach you the Heavenly Dao of Being a Villain?”

Hearing him, Lia looked at Evan with shining eyes.

”Big Brother, how do you know this? Are you also a member of the organization? But Grandfather told me he never accepted anyone else besides me into his organization.”

’It’s not that he didn’t accept anyone into his organization...’ Evan thought while looking at Lia with a deadpan expression. ’It’s just that no one ever wanted to join his imaginary villain organization.’

He sighed inwardly.

’He just ruined little Lia. I can’t even imagine what the hell he taught her while I was away.’
