World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

Chapter 74: Glen (100PS Bonus Chapter)

When Evan got closer to the city, he saw a small queue outside, with people going in and out endlessly.

When the people in the queue saw them, all of them couldn’t help but give them strange glances, as they were dragging two seriously injured people who were handcuffed and looked really miserable, especially Thomas, who looked as if he could die at any moment.

There was also Elena, who once again wore her black mask for some reason.

Although curious, Evan didn’t ask why she was using it and just stood in the queue with Lia and the others.

The two guards standing at the entrance also noticed them and looked at them suspiciously.

When it was their turn to enter the city, the guards didn’t let them enter immediately and asked.

”Who are these people, and why are they handcuffed?”

Evan was about to explain the situation when Elena came forward and threw a wooden token toward the guard who had just asked the question.

The guard was taken aback but still caught the token.

The instant he saw it, his expression changed greatly, and his hands holding the token began to shake.

”Any other questions?” Elena asked the guard.

The guard shook his head and stepped aside from the entrance gate while giving the wooden token back to Elena.

”I apologize for my earlier behavior. Please enter the city,” The guard said with a trembling voice.

Evan’s eyes twitched slightly when he saw this scene and couldn’t help but wonder if this girl was also from a villainous family. After all, that guard looked really scared after seeing the token she had shown him.

Elena didn’t care about Evan’s thoughts and looked at him.

”Let’s go...” She said, and they smoothly entered the city.

Once they were inside the city, Evan couldn’t help but say.

”So, when you said your family has very high influence, you weren’t boasting, huh?”

Elena raised an eyebrow at his words.

”You didn’t believe me last night?”

Evan rubbed his chin and shook his head.

”I believed you last night, but when I saw your actions this morning and how you joined an organization like an idiot, I thought that maybe you were just boasting.”

Elena’s mouth twitched when she heard Evan call her an idiot, but he worst thing was that she couldn’t even deny it because she also knew that she had really done something stupid.

So, she changed the topic and asked, ”Where should we go first, the guard office, or do you want to go to Lia’s home first?”

Evan thought about it for some time before saying, ”Let’s go to the guard office first and hand over these two people to the guards. Maybe I will also meet the person I am looking for.”

Elena nodded, and they all started walking deeper into the city. Lia was the one who led the way since neither Evan nor Elena knew where the guard office was situated inside Sky Pearl City.

Sky Pearl City was a dungeon city where the Rank One dungeon ’Goblin Crypt’ was located. There were many shops and stores inside the city selling potions, armor, and other things. Most of the buildings and shops in Sky Pearl City were built in a medieval style.

There were many Evolvers inside the city, just like in Rivo City, but Evan also noticed that there were very few high-ranking items and potions.

Although Sky Pearl City was a dungeon city, it couldn’t be compared with Rivo City, which was situated right next to the Dark Forest.

Most of the products inside Sky Pearl City were obtained from the Goblin Crypt dungeon. But since it was only a Rank One dungeon, the rank of the items obtained from it wasn’t as high as those from the Dark Forest, which was rich in resources.

While going toward the guard office, Evan’s group drew too much attention because they were dragging two people along with them who were handcuffed and seriously injured.

However, no one came to ask questions or cause trouble for them and simply watched them curiously because they also understood that since Evan and the others had been allowed to enter the city, they must have gotten permission from the guards standing at the entrance.

Soon, Evan and the others saw a large, two-story, medieval-looking building where many guards were stationed.

Lia stopped some distance away from it and pointed at it.

”This is the guard office of the city.”

Evan nodded and looked at Elena. Since she was a noble with high authority, he let her lead the way. It would be easier for them to explain the situation if Elena was the one who talked with the guards.

Elena nodded at Evan and walked toward the guards standing outside the office.

The guards stationed outside the office had already noticed Evan and the others when they came near the building.

Soon, Evan saw Elena say something to them and show them the same wooden token that she had shown the guards at the entrance.

Once the guards saw the token, their reaction was also similar to the ones outside.

A few minutes later, Elena returned with two guards.

The two guards walked toward Thomas and David and took them away.

When both guards were gone, Elena said to Evan, ”Let’s go inside. The commander of the office will meet us soon.”

Though surprised that they could directly meet the commander, Evan didn’t say anything and simply went inside the building with Elena.

When they entered, a guard led them to the waiting room.

Once the guard left, Evan glanced at Lia and noticed that she looked extremely nervous so he patted her head lightly and spoke.

”Don’t worry, nothing will happen.”

Lia took a deep breath after hearing Evan and nodded.

Soon, the door of the waiting room opened, and a handsome middle-aged man with black hair and brown eyes, who looked to be in his forties, entered the room.

From the aura of the commander, Evan could guess that he was a Rank Two Evolver, a rank below Max, who was in charge of the Rivo City guard office.

”Thanks for waiting. My name is Glen, the head of this guard office...” The man said with a calm smile. ”The guards already explained everything to me about those two people you brought. We will definitely investigate everything about them.”

While speaking, his attention was mostly fixed on Elena.

Elena wasn’t bothered by it and nodded before looking at Evan.

When Glen saw this, he also looked at Evan curiously.

Seeing that Glen was looking at him, Evan pointed at Lia and asked.

”Do you know her?”
