World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

[You have killed a Rank One Giant Lizard, Level 43. You have acquired +20 Stamina, +17 Agility, and +14 Mana.]

Evan ignored the notification and simply looked at the dead lizard with a smile on his face.

He had been flying toward the exit of the Dark Forest when he came across the lizard, which was about to kill two Rank One Evolvers.

Evan had also wanted to test his current power, so he simply used a Wind Bullet. To his surprise, with just a single Wind Bullet, he was able to destroy the brain of a magical beast that was over Level 40.

”Although I expected my attack to be strong, it’s still...” Evan said with a chuckle, shaking his head.

The reason his normal attack had killed the Giant Lizard was because of his 300 Magic points, which increased the power of his attacks, as well as the amount of Mana he had used to create that bullet.

Previously, he couldn’t put too much Mana into such a small wind bullet. But now that he was a Rank One Evolver and became an Elemental Apprentice, things were different

Just now, he had used over 100 Mana points to create that small Wind Bullet, increasing its power to a very high level.

Moreover, since Wind Bullet was an element-based attack, it also received a 30% boost from his Job Class, Elemental Apprentice.

Furthermore, because the lizard was more than fifteen levels above him, he had received another 10% boost from his title, Slayer.

”When I first obtained the Wind Monarch skill, I always thought I wasn’t able to fully use this skill because my Mana Control wasn’t good enough. But only after becoming an Elemental Apprentice did I realize that Mana Control was just one of the problems. Another thing that hindered me was my Affinity with the Wind Element.”

After becoming an Elemental Apprentice, Evan’s affinity toward all elements increased greatly, especially his affinity with the Wind Element, which had reached one hundred percent.

Previously, although the Wind Monarch skill gave him absolute control over the wind, he couldn’t bring out its true power because of his lack of absolute affinity with the Wind Element.

But now that he had become an Elemental Apprentice and his Wind Affinity had reached 100%, the power of his Wind Monarch skill had increased greatly.

”I gained many insights into different ways of using the Wind Monarch skill when my affinity with the wind reached 100%. Now that I have enough Mana, I should be able to use those methods properly.”

Evan said while thinking about the different ways he could use his Wind Monarch skill.

After looking at the dead lizard one final time, he once again flew toward the exit of the Dark Forest.

With Wings of Wind, he was able to fly at a very high speed, and since the skill didn’t consume his Mana, he could use it for a long time.

”Wings of Wind is definitely one of the best skills that I could have obtained just before leaving for the academy.” Evan said to himself while flying.

However, after using the skill for some time, he noticed something.

”Although I’m not losing any Mana, using Wings of Wind is quite tiring. Even with my current Stamina, I can only fly for a few hours before I need to take a rest.”

He muttered to himself but did not think too much about it, as this amount of Stamina consumption was acceptable.

After flying for around ten minutes, Evan finally came out of the Dark Forest.

He turned back and looked toward the massive forest behind him.

”I don’t know when I will come here again...” He muttered under his breath and after staring at the forest for a few seconds, he flew toward his home.

”Grandpa, are you sure Big Brother Evan is alright?”

Lia asked once again.

”How many times do I have to tell you? He is my grandson. There is no way something happened to him. He must be fooling around with Magic Beasts in the Dark Forest.” Alfred answered Lia in a tired voice.

”What do you mean by fooling around with Magic Beasts, Grandpa? Aren’t Magic Beasts dangerous? Don’t they kill anyone who comes in front of them?”

Lia asked, not understanding what he meant.

”I mean, he is my grandson. The grandson of the sole member and leader of THE imaginary villain organization. So he is definitely forming his own gang inside the forest. He must be looking for rare Magic Beasts to turn them into his lackeys.”

Saying this, Alfred picked up a glass of water and took a sip to moisten his throat before continuing.

”Although Magic Beasts attack humans most of the time whenever they see them, once they evolve into Rank Two Magic Beasts, they gain intelligence similar to humans. And once they reach Rank Three, they can even take human form.”

Lia’s eyes opened wide when she heard that Magic Beasts could even take human form.

”So you’re saying that Big Brother Evan is currently searching for talented Magic Beasts that will grow stronger in the future, and he is planning to create a villain organization with the help of those Magic Beasts?”

”Yes, that’s exactly what I mean. So stop asking me when your Big Brother will come back. Once he finds enough members for his organization, he will return.”

Alfred said before looking toward Venisa, who was standing near the window with a worried expression.

’Just where are you, brat...?’ Alfred thought with a sigh.

It had already been three weeks since Evan entered the Dark Forest after dropping Lia off.

That’s right.

Although Evan had only spent around three days inside the Skeleton Graveyard Dungeon, three weeks had passed in the outside world.

Although Alfred had just said a bunch of nonsense to Lia, he was also worried about Evan.

He and Venisa had even entered the Dark Forest a few days ago to search for him, but they did not find him anywhere.

Although they knew that Evan was still alive because they had his Soul Lamp, they were still worried because they couldn’t find any trace of him, as if he had disappeared out of nowhere.

Alfred stood up and walked toward Venisa.

”You don’t have to worry too much. His Soul Lamp hasn’t shown any abnormality until now. When he came to drop Lia off, you felt it as well, didn’t you? Even when he was just Level 20, he already had enough power to fight against a Rank One Evolver.”

Venisa sighed when she heard him.

”I know that, but I still can’t understand why we can’t find him anywhere inside the Dark Forest.”

Alfred thought for a moment before speaking.

”I think it’s related to his evolution requirements. Although I don’t know what caused him to disappear, I can’t think of any other reason.”

”I feel the same. That’s why I am worried. I have never heard of someone being sent to another location to complete their evolution requirements.” Venisa said after hearing Alfred’s thoughts.

Just as both of them were talking, they suddenly sensed someone approaching their house from the sky.

Alfred immediately showed an annoyed expression.

”Who is this idiot flying above our home?”

However, Venisa didn’t say anything, as she felt that the aura flying toward them was familiar.

Soon, even Alfred’s eyes opened wide because he also noticed this detail.

Both of them looked at each other and immediately went outside.

Lia also followed behind them.

The moment they stepped outside, they saw a streak of green light rapidly flying toward them before slowly descending and landing in front of them.
