World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

’It’s good that I received the Wings of Wind skill...’ Evan thought as his home came into sight.

Even though he had received a great boost to his Health stat after evolving, it didn’t mean all of his injuries had healed. It would still take a few days for his overexerted body to recover completely.

If he hadn’t received Wings of Wind, it would have taken him at least a few hours to reach his home from the Dark Forest.

As he got closer to his home, Evan saw his grandparents and Lia coming outside, and a smile appeared on his face.

He increased his speed and soon landed in front of them.

”I am ba—”

Before Evan could finish speaking, Venisa suddenly appeared before him.

Even with his greatly increased strength and senses, Evan couldn’t see how she had moved.

”It’s good that you fine.”

Venisa hugged him as her voice, filled with relief, reached his ears.

When Evan didn’t return during the first week, she didn’t think too much about it, assuming he was still leveling up or trying to complete his evolution requirements.

But when two weeks passed and there was still no news about him, she finally started to worry.

Although she knew that it could take years for some people to complete their evolution requirements, she didn’t believe Evan would delay his departure for Sky Pearl City for that long just to complete his requirements inside the forest.

After all, he had promised Lia that he would soon take her back to Sky Pearl City.

On the eighteenth day after Evan’s departure, Venisa and Alfred had finally entered the Dark Forest to search for him.

However, even after searching throughout the forest, they couldn’t find him.

They had even entered the inner and core zone of the Dark Forest to search for him, but they still did not find any trace of him.

As the days passed without any news, Venisa became more and more worried.

But now that she had finally seen Evan safe and sound, all of her worries were finally swept away.

Evan frowned slightly when he heard Venisa’s voice tinged with fatigue and relief.

’Did something happen while I was away?’

He thought inwardly but still hugged her back.

”Of course, I’m fine. What could possibly happen to me? I even completed all my evolution requirements and became a Rank One Evolver.”

Alfred and Lia also came closer to him.

But when they stopped, Evan felt that the way Alfred was looking at him was a bit strange.

Pulling away from his grandmother’s hug, he asked with a strange look on his face.

”Why are you looking at me like that?”

Alfred narrowed his eyes at Evan.

When Evan saw Alfred’s expression, he couldn’t help but remember what had happened when he came back to drop Lia off, and cold sweat immediately appeared on his forehead.

’Don’t tell me he still hasn’t forgotten about that matter?’

Just as he was thinking about it, Alfred finally opened his mouth and asked something completely unexpected.

”Who are you, and where is my grandson?”

”Eh?” Evan was taken aback by Alfred’s question and looked at him in confusion.

”Don’t ’eh’ me. You may be able to fool others, but you can’t fool me.”

Alfred said as he slowly stepped closer to Evan.

”You may not know who I am, but just to let you know, there is no one in this world who can fool me. Although you look similar to my grandson and your aura also feels like his, I can tell from your face that you are not him.”

”What do you mean by my face?” Evan asked while touching his face.

Although he had washed his face with water to clean the bloodstains, he hadn’t looked at himself carefully.

’Could it be that something happened to my face when I headbutted that Colossal Skeleton General?’

As soon as he thought of this, he immediately wanted to go inside and look at himself in the mirror.

But before he could do so, he heard Alfred’s next words and almost fell to the ground.

”My grandson has such an average face that even roadside dogs would bark at him to wear a face mask while going outside. But you... How come your face is almost catching up to my handsomeness when I was young?”

Evan remained silent after hearing Alfred’s useless words.

He really wanted to ask him if he even knew the meaning of evolution, but he was too lazy to say anything.

Since he had evolved and his life level had increased, it was normal for his appearance to become more perfect.

Moreover, because his stats were too high, his life level was also far higher than that of most Rank One Evolvers, making him look far more attractive.

It wasn’t just about his appearance, but also about the natural attraction that came from being a higher-level life form.

Alfred carefully looked at Evan’s expression and breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing the speechless look that Evan always showed after hearing his nonsense.

In fact, Alfred wasn’t asking such strange questions for no reason.

With their power, both Alfred and Venisa could easily sense that Evan’s level was 29.

However, the aura coming from him was just too powerful.

Although Evan’s Soul Lamp hadn’t shown any abnormality, Alfred still needed to confirm that everything was fine with him.

Especially since things like soul possession weren’t impossible with certain techniques and artifacts.

It was also the reason Venisa hadn’t stopped him earlier.

But just to make sure there was truly nothing wrong with Evan, Alfred still needed to check one more thing.

”See? You can’t even argue with me. There is definitely something wrong with you. If you are really my grandson, show me the sword that I gave you.”

Without showing any expression on his face, Evan took out Black Star from his Storage Ring and flashed it above Alfred’s head, as if he wanted to chop off his hair.

Seeing Black Star calmly resting in Evan’s hand without showing any rejection or other abnormality, Alfred’s heart finally settled.

After all, he knew that Black Star was something that no one other than Evan could use.

”Do you have anything else to say?”

Evan asked after showing him Black Star.

Alfred wanted to say something more, but Venisa stopped him.

Seeing that the old man wasn’t going to mess with him anymore, Evan finally looked at Lia, who was staring at him with shining eyes.

”Big Brother, you can fly?”

Seeing that Evan was looking at her, Lia hurried over to him.

Evan smiled and patted her head.

”Of course, I can fly. When we leave for Sky Pearl City, I’ll let you experience what it feels like to fly in the sky.”

Lia’s eyes immediately lit up, and she nodded in anticipation.

Suddenly, she thought of what Alfred had said earlier and eagerly asked.

”It’s been so many days since Big Brother left. Did you form your gang of Magic Beasts and create your organization?”

”Gang of Magic Beasts? Organization?” A look of confusion appeared on Evan’s face.

”What are you talking about?”

”Didn’t you leave to create a gang of Magic Beasts and form an organization?” Lia spoke while tilting her head.

”Grandpa told me that you were creating a gang. That’s why you didn’t return for three weeks.”

Boom!

Evan felt as if a hammer had struck his head when he heard Lia’s words, and he immediately looked at Alfred and Venisa.

Three weeks?

Hearing this, he thought of Venisa’s unusual reaction earlier and finally understood why she had been so worried.

Suppressing the shock in his heart, he asked for confirmation.

”How many days have passed since I left for the Dark Forest?”

Venisa sighed.

”You left for the Dark Forest three weeks ago.”

Evan finally couldn’t hold back and exclaimed in shock.

”How is that possible? I only spent three days there.”

When Venisa and Alfred heard Evan’s words, both of them looked at him with surprised expressions.

”What do you mean you only spent three days there?”

Evan took a deep breath and started thinking about how he should explain everything that had happened to his grandparents.

Venisa looked at him and spoke.

”Come inside first. We will talk inside.”

Evan nodded and started walking toward the door.

However, when Venisa saw him walking slowly, she immediately noticed something.

”You’re injured?”

”Just some minor injuries. They will heal in a few days.”

Evan answered while still thinking about the strange time difference inside the dungeon.

However, Venisa immediately came closer to him and carefully examined his body.

Upon seeing the condition of his body, her expression immediately changed.

”You call these minor injuries?” She spoke in a stern voice.

”Your hand is almost completely broken, and all your muscles are tense as if they endured an enormous amount of pressure.”

Before Evan could say anything, Venisa took out a potion from her Storage Ring.

She opened its lid and shoved the bottle directly into his mouth.

Evan didn’t even know what kind of potion it was, but he still drank it.

As the potion slid down his throat, he felt a refreshing sensation spreading throughout his entire body.

The muscles that had been aching suddenly relaxed, and his injuries began healing even faster.

Evan was surprised by the effects of the potion and immediately concluded that its grade was far higher than the ones he had used before.

Venisa supported Evan, and soon all of them reached the living room.

Once they sat down, Evan took a deep breath and began telling his grandparents everything that had happened to him over the past few days.
