World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

Once Evan finished looking at all the rewards, he finally saw the notifications regarding his evolution.

Reading the notifications, Evan finally understood why he was still at Level 25 and hadn’t become a Rank One Evolver.

”I have never heard that people can’t evolve inside a dungeon...” He muttered in confusion before his gaze landed on two words.

Special Dungeon.

A look of confusion appeared in his eyes as he scratched the back of his head.

”What does it mean by a Special Dungeon?”

Evan stared at the notifications for a while before shaking his head.

”Well, it doesn’t matter. I just have to get out of here, and I will be able to evolve...”

As he spoke, Evan’s gaze landed on the notification at the bottom of his status window, asking him if he wanted to leave the dungeon.

Using all of his strength, he stood up with difficulty.

However, he couldn’t help but groan in pain as every single part of his body screamed in agony.

”Once I evolve into a Rank One Evolver, my Health and Stamina stats will improve further, enhancing my recovery speed...”

Evan took a deep breath before looking at his surroundings.

Staring at the dimly lit hall, Evan couldn’t help but recall everything that had happened inside the dungeon.

Although he had spent only around three days inside the dungeon, he still felt as if a lifetime had passed.

From fighting fragile Unranked Skeletons to running through an entire army of them without using Mana, and then finally fighting the Colossal Skeleton General, which had almost killed him...

Everything seemed like a dream to him.

Countless memories flashed through his mind in an instant.

From the moment he had first entered the Dark Forest and fought against the Forest Tiger until now, every battle and every near-death experience seemed to replay in his mind and his lips gradually curled upward into a slight smile.

”This is the kind of thrill I always wanted. Not staying at home and listening to that old man’s plans about how to destroy the empire...”

He chuckled before his gaze landed on the exit option on his status window.

Without hesitation, Evan decisively chose yes.

A silver light enveloped his body, and Evan disappeared from the Skeleton Graveyard Dungeon.

However, unknown to him, because he had cleared the Skeleton Graveyard Dungeon alone, a certain group of people was currently going crazy.

Though, that was a matter to be discussed another time.

Inside the Dark Forest, a silver light flashed, and Evan’s figure appeared.

Once he exited the dungeon, he didn’t appear at the same location from where he had entered it. Instead, he appeared somewhere else.

However, Evan didn’t get any chance to look at his surroundings because the moment he appeared outside the dungeon, notifications immediately began appearing before his eyes.

Evan didn’t even get the time to read all the notifications when he suddenly felt a strange energy appear inside his body.

A power unlike anything he had ever felt before began nourishing every cell of his body, rapidly improving his physical strength.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Evan’s bones produced popping sounds as the energy coursed through his body.

Even his serious injuries began to heal rapidly under the effect of this energy, and the pain he felt throughout his body lessened significantly, making it possible for him to at least move normally.

An overwhelming sense of power engulfed him, making him feel as if he could destroy a giant stone with a single punch.

Evan took deep breaths to calm the surging energy within his body and after nearly a minute, he was finally able to control his increased strength.

He clenched his fist, and the air around it trembled from this simple movement.

Evan could feel that his stats had increased by a tremendous margin, and he could sense everything around him much more clearly than before.

Suppressing the excitement in his heart, he looked at all the notifications carefully.

Evan first read about his new class, Elemental Apprentice.

When he saw the 30% boost to the power of his element-based moves, he couldn’t help but feel excited.

After all, most of his attacks came from his Wind Monarch skill, and all of those attacks were element-based.

Just thinking about how powerful his attacks had become with the additional 30% boost from his class, his eyes couldn’t help but gleam with anticipation.

There was also the effect that gave him an additional 20% boost to his power while fighting in an area rich with elemental energy.

”It’s must be like a buff. Once I enter an area rich with elemental energy, all of my powers, including my stats, will increase by another 20%...”

Just this one effect made Evan feel that all the effort he had put into obtaining this class was worth it.

After all, a 20% increase in power was not a small boost.

Looking down, Evan saw the notification about his Wind Affinity reaching one hundred percent because of the Wind Monarch Skill, granting him a Passive Skill.

”Wings of Wind...”

Evan muttered the name of the skill, and the next second, two beautiful wings immediately appeared on his back.

The wings were light green in color and looked extremely beautiful, almost like angel wings.

However, when Evan looked at them, he felt that the wings were too feminine and didn’t match his appearance at all, especially when he was wearing his black-colored Wolf Robe.

The moment Evan had this thought, the wings on his back rippled and suddenly changed their shape.

They transformed into a pair of majestic dragon wings, similar to the ones he had once seen in a book.

Evan was startled when he saw this, and his eyes widened.

”These wings can even change their shape?”

He muttered in a baffled voice, feeling genuinely surprised.

Evan then tried to fly using the wings.

It was difficult at first, but he soon got the hang of it and was able to fly smoothly through the air.

While flying, Evan also figured out his current location.

He was still inside the Dark Forest, but he was quite deep inside.

Although he was still within the outer area, his current location was even deeper than the place where he had chased after the Silver Bear.

However, Evan wasn’t worried.

Although he was currently quite deep inside the Dark Forest, he could leave this area without any problem whenever he wanted.

Just as he was getting used to the wings, Evan suddenly realized something and quickly looked at his status window again.

His eyes immediately landed on the Wings of Wind skill, confirming his guess.

”Passive Skill...” He muttered in a dazed voice.

”This Wings of Wind is actually a Passive Skill, which means I don’t even need to provide Mana to use it. I can fly without consuming any Mana...”

He said in a low voice, barely suppressing his excitement.

He hadn’t noticed it earlier because Wings of Wind was completely different from any other Passive Skill he had learned or heard about.

For example, Basic Sword Art and his Steel Body Skill.

Both of them were also Passive Skills, but he didn’t need to actively use them himself.

The moment he learned those skills, they became a part of him.

Steel Body directly strengthened his body, while Basic Sword Art transformed into his swordsmanship experience and understanding.

However, Wings of Wind was different.

To use it, he had to actively think about it and condense the wings on his back.

Evan was puzzled as to why this skill was different from other Passive Skills, but he couldn’t figure out the reason.

”Since this skill doesn’t consume my Mana, then how do these wings sustain themselves?”

Evan thought with a curious look and tried to sense how the wings were working.

And instantly, he noticed something.

The wings on his back were actively drawing Mana from the surroundings.

They didn’t consume his Mana. Instead, they absorbed the Mana of the world to sustain themselves.

”This is amazing...”

Evan couldn’t help but say, feeling amazed as he sensed the Wings of Wind continuously absorbing the surrounding Mana.

After enjoying his first experience of flying for a few more minutes, Evan once again shifted his gaze toward his status window.

Then, when he looked at the next notification, his eyes widened in shock.

”A Unique Skill...” His eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

”I never thought I would get a Unique Skill just after becoming a Rank One Evolver!”
