Chapter 445: Chapter 189, Blood of the Holy Grail_3

Laine’s speed was astonishingly fast, far surpassing that of a normal Holy Grail Knight. In the blink of an eye, he dodged the Blood Knight’s frenzied attack. The Revenge Goddess, burning with white flames, struck down, slicing through the indestructible chest armor of the Blood Knight. The blood-red armor was cleaved open by the might of the Holy Sword, and the blade of the Revenge Goddess appeared at the Blood Knight’s throat.

The Blood Knight’s response was exceptionally quick. He immediately brought his sword up to block, clashing his blood-red Longsword against the Revenge Goddess, sparks flying.

The foot battle in the forest began, and the Blood Knight’s sword was like a viper, swift and agile, every strike aimed at Laine’s vital points. The perilous battle made Veronica, watching from a distance, secretly alarmed.

The Blood Knight before them had at least Legendary Middle-tier strength, coupled with terrifying regenerative abilities and unparalleled combat experience—no wonder the young Ranger Knight couldn’t possibly defeat him.

But Laine was different. The faster the Blood Knight moved, the slower Laine seemed. The Revenge Goddess followed Laine’s wrist, deflecting every attack of the Blood Knight.

After executing a complete set of sword techniques, Laine continuously retreated, taking advantage of the opportunity to distance himself from the Blood Knight.

The opportunity arose, and Laine’s eyes emitted a blue Light of Spiritual Power. The powerful Spiritual Storm flowed like mercury, penetrating the gaps in the Blood Knight’s armor, causing him to cry out in agony. The Spiritual Storm was destroying his decaying body and scorching his filthy soul.

Then the Revenge Goddess swung down, its sharp blade slicing through the Blood Knight’s throat. The Blood Knight clutched his throat, staggering backward, desperately trying to use his regenerative abilities to heal his wounds.

It was no use—the white purifying flame lingered over the wound. The Blood Knight’s wound finally began to bleed, and with the Revenge Goddess pierced through his chest, he knew his doom was sealed.

Seeing the Blood Knight covered in blood, Laine intended to pursue further. But under the full moon’s glow, a golden badge fell from the Blood Knight’s shattered chest armor.

This Knight’s Badge was so familiar that Laine’s eyes widened, pupils contracted, mouth gaping in astonishment, even his voice changed: ”You... you are...”

Under the moonlight of the full moon, a golden Holy Grail Knight Badge shimmered with faint light.

This Blood Knight, in life, was a Holy Grail Knight?!

”Cough cough cough~ Finally, finally, everything is coming to an end.” A hint of relief appeared on the Blood Knight’s face: ”Laine Macado, Champion of the Lady, it is my honor to die by your hand. If possible, please tell the Lady that I am ashamed of her teachings, ashamed of her trust, but I had no choice. When I was resurrected by him, this heavy curse accompanied me until now.”

”You?!” Laine’s voice was filled with incredulity: ”Why? Who desecrated your soul and body.”

”I cannot say, nor can I express it.” The Blood Knight clutched his throat and chest, feeling the release from his painful life approaching: ”He set a spell, I cannot speak his name, but... but... ugh ugh ugh~”

”But what?” Laine quickly sheathed the Revenge Goddess and ran to the Blood Knight’s side, crouching down to check his wounds.

”But... Musillon, and there are several others like me. They are called... Black Holy Grail Knights, cough cough cough... Champion of the Lady, Laine, my name is not Richter, my true name is Honore de Lys, once an honorable Holy Grail Knight as well.” The Blood Knight could feel his soul finally obtaining release, and the dreadful curse was gradually fading away.

The sins and filth were vanishing from his body, and he was once again a noble and honorable Holy Grail Knight.

Thus, Honore de Lys grasped Laine’s hand and uttered the last words of his second life.

”The Black Knight... The Black Knight has returned to Brittania, he... he will destroy this country.”

”You must stop him, for the Lady, you must stop him!”
