Chapter 422: Chapter 180, Rune Artisan Delong Feinson_3

Surya frowned, feeling that this dwarf seemed difficult to communicate with. Sylvia was even more irritated. Although the maid couldn’t understand what Laine and the dwarf craftsman were exchanging, she could feel that the dwarf craftsman’s attitude was not friendly.

Only Amelia tugged at Laine’s sleeve, recalling her father’s advice: ”Compared to humans, dwarves are more worthy of our trust, my daughter. Better to trust a dwarf than a human.”

”I’m here to see you, Mr. Delong Feinson.” Laine took out a piece of parchment and handed it to the dwarf craftsman. ”Do you remember this?”

”This is...” The dwarf craftsman obviously saw the badge of the Holy Grail Knight Commander on Laine’s chest, and he naturally understood the status of the Holy Grail Knights in this country. So although he didn’t want to take it, he still reached out his hand. ”Alright, let me see.”

The female knight clung to Laine’s arm, a soft snow peak pressing on the Holy Grail Knight’s arm. ”Laine?”

”Don’t worry, Surya.” Laine gestured to the girls to be patient. Just as humans found it hard to grasp the dwarf language, dwarves equally found it tough to master human language. Reading Angerong’s awkward writing with some grammatical errors would undoubtedly consume more of the dwarf craftsman’s energy.

Sure enough, after about five minutes, the dwarf craftsman named Delong finally labored through the few scribbled lines, lifted his head, removed his sunglasses, and said in Low Gothic: ”You’re a brother?”

”???” Laine’s face turned dark, thinking that no matter how he heard it, this statement was annoying.

”Ahem, I can’t express it clearly. What I mean is, does this mean you are that Angerong’s brother? I must say, you two look nothing alike.” The dwarf craftsman realized he hadn’t made himself clear and repeated himself.

Human language is truly hard!

”Yes, that’s correct. I am Angerong’s brother. Surely, my brother sought you out earlier.” Laine responded with a head full of black lines.

”Indeed, there was such a matter. Brother, you said, where’s your horse?” Surprisingly, the dwarf asked in awkward Low Gothic, then annoyingly patted his stomach and switched to Kazadni Language. ”Forget it, let’s converse in Dwarf Language.”

”It should have been like this.” Laine thought, if you keep talking, I’m going to flip out on you.

”What I mean is, as a Holy Grail Knight, shouldn’t you ride a horse over?” The dwarf craftsman continued.

”My horse is tied outside. Grape doesn’t like firelight and the sharp sound of hammering iron.” Laine signaled the dwarf craftsman to look outside, where his Pure-blooded Elf Warhorse was waiting.

”The sound of hammering is the most beautiful sound in the world. That horse of yours can’t appreciate it.” Delong Feinson nodded. ”I understand your intention. You want to invite me to your territory to oversee the construction of a blacksmith workshop?”

”Exactly. I have in my possession some... rather special techniques, which may interest you.” Laine wanted to continue saying something. ”The conditions will be excellent...”

”Alright, how about this: first, lift this big iron block, then we can discuss further.” Delong Feinson waved his large hand, indicating, spare me the empty words; the dwarf craftsman said gruffly, ”To hire me, you must first prove your strength.”

”Lift this big iron block from the end of this street to the other end, with no help from anyone.”

”Then, we’ll talk about other things!”

Hiss~ Surya looked at the iron block before her. It was over forty centimeters tall, more than fifty centimeters wide, and quite long. Just by a rough estimate, she knew this iron block could weigh several hundred kilograms.

Instinctively, she cast her gaze upon Laine.

Only to see Laine calmly pat the arm the female knight was clinging to, gesturing for her to let him go, then saying to Delong Feinson: ”As you wish!”
