Chapter 411: Chapter 176, Legendary High-Tier_2

”Yes, two Lady Kislev are dead, the Demon Hunter wasn’t injured.” Laine followed Angerong into the tavern within the town: ”Hex took the guards to settle the matter. Those few Lady Kislev aren’t willing to let it go and said they’ll appeal to the Duke of Winford.”

”Ha, what’s the use? The Duke will undoubtedly side with you. Where do those Lady Kislev get the confidence to think they can win a lawsuit against a Holy Grail Knight in this Kingdom?” Having lived here for a few months, Angerong was well aware of the current state of the Continent and its unique traits. He laughed heartily: ”That’s like a Planet Governor accusing the Imperial Guard on Terra.”

”Hahahahahahahahahahaha~”

”Hahaha~”

The two laughed heartily and then walked into the tavern. Laine ordered a brandy, while Angerong favored mead. The tavern owner was thrilled to see Laine arrive, not only filling the glass to the brim but also offering the second glass at half price.

Laine and Angerong also ordered stewed pork soup, roasted chicken, and roast goose. Both had large appetites, and their meal cost dozens of silver coins.

At the table, Laine continued to chat with his brother: ”I’ve set up workshops along the Xinong River, but the troubling thing is that we lack blacksmiths. Brittania itself is short of blacksmiths, and it’s even less likely for anyone to come to our Baron’s Domain to be a blacksmith.”

Here Laine possesses the Emperor’s analytical technology for enchanted weapon making from the Ancient Saints, and besides, he also understands hydraulic forging technology. Normally, getting a few workshops up and running wouldn’t be a problem, but as a Lord, he couldn’t personally be the blacksmith, could he?

”I know, brother, I think you shouldn’t limit your focus solely on humans,” Angerong said, clutching a chicken wing and tearing into the meat: ”I don’t mean anything else, brother, you might try the dwarves and elves; I find their forging skills quite exceptional, probably better than humans.”

”Oh? Brother knows about the elves’ and dwarves’ forging skills?” Laine was curious; how did Angerong know?

”I’m not just farming, my brother. When you went on your expedition, I visited Boldro and even took a boat out to sea for fishing. I caught a big fish half as tall as me. If you get the chance, come see it at my place.” Angerong chuckled as he gestured the size of the fish: ”I used a trident to spear the big fish straight out of the sea. The local Sea God Church rewarded me with a bag of tuna jerky, claiming I’m a warrior.”

”Hahaha~ well, brother, your life is certainly rich and varied.” Laine laughed aloud.

Angerong being so happy made his brother delighted.

”I stayed in Boldro for a few days; there are a few dwarf craftsmen there, especially a dwarf rune craftsman named Delong Feinson who resides at this place.” Angerong pulled out a scroll of parchment with the dwarf craftsman’s address: ”Here you go, maybe you can use it.”

”Thank you.” Laine took the parchment and began to think.

Unlike the Empire, dwarves don’t generally have strong relations with Brittania. Knights have fewer opportunities for contact with dwarves, and due to diplomatic relations with wood elves and the Lake Fairy’s inherent identity, Brittania naturally doesn’t form a Holy Alliance with dwarves like the Empire, but the Knight Kingdom isn’t enemies with dwarves either.

Indeed, he could go have a look; dwarves prioritize wealth and also have a special fondness for technology. Laine has many new enchantment technologies at his disposal; perhaps this Rune Blacksmith will be interested?

”Speaking of which, I still need to attend Duke Boldro’s party...” Laine covered his head, a bit helpless, and complained to his brother: ”Attending such banquets requires a female companion, and she should have the right status. But where do I find one? I can’t just bring an elf as a date, can I?”

”My brother, are you pretending not to know or do you genuinely not know?” Who knew, Angerong looked at him with disdain: ”You have the most suitable candidate. She often comes looking for you; why not ask her?”

”Alright, I understand.” Laine nodded, knowing exactly whom Angerong was referring to.

As Laine diligently fortified his strength and developed his domain.

On a medium-sized passenger ship off the coast of Marinburg.

In a lavishly decorated cabin, Veronica was with her apprentice Catherine in the room, the witch wore a big smile.

After arriving in Marinburg, Veronica immediately received an audience with the Duke of Marinburg, Schultz. The witch was genuinely treated like a VIP, leaving her quite satisfied. She certainly knew why she was treated with such regard.

Though she didn’t understand why Laine quickly forged such a profound friendship with Schultz, that didn’t matter. What mattered was having a great partner who was also her man.

Upon learning about Veronica’s plans to join Laine, Schultz arranged a quick boat to send Veronica and her apprentice off immediately, significantly reducing her planned twenty-five-day journey. With this boat, Veronica could reach Laine within ten days at most.
