[Game Code Confirmed, Player 629SHD2S0FXC30 welcome to your arrival, since you entered with a task list, you will be deployed near the mission target, please pay attention to the deployment location!]

[This world has locked time, after entering, it will open for exit twelve months later, please be sure to check the time.]

[This world is shrouded by a powerful force, please be aware of the rules of this world.]

[The Adaril World, from ancient times to the present, has experienced four major changes.

From the Ancient Hundred Races, to the Ancient Giant Dragon, then to the Middle Ages Elves, and finally to the present Human World, each change brought massive wars that swept through the entire world.

Only the races that survive the wars can become the overlords of the world.

However, the history books only record the glory of the victors, never the fate of the defeated.

They, along with the insidious means used by the victors, are forever buried in history.

Only occasionally appearing relics and antiques prove their existence.]

Under the series of prompts, Gu Xi found himself following a golden light, descending into a massive world.

Standing above the void, Gu Xi could see the situation of the world before him.

Although unsure of the extent of this world, Gu Xi could discern that the world before him was divided into three layers: upper, middle, and lower.

The upper layer consisted of scattered flying islands and Sky City, all surface of the Sky Cities shrouded by a violet-colored defense shield and light blue arcane glow.

It was very obvious that arcane magic was quite advanced in this world.

The middle layer was a continent connected to the sea.

There were hardly any islands on the sea, but a large number of volcanoes could be seen on the edges of the world.

Looking at it, one would discover that the entire world resembled a sandbox encircled by volcanoes.

The people inside the world couldn’t leave, and those outside couldn’t enter.

The third layer was like a maze, the Underworld.

Calling it the third layer may not be accurate because this Underworld twisted and turned, up and down, even with a Pathfinding Skill, one might not know their position in the Underworld.

As Gu Xi descended, he discovered another situation: each of the three layers of the world was connected by a pure gold mountain.

This pure gold mountain was somewhat peculiar; it was a mountain that connected heaven and earth, theoretically visible from any position when looking up.

Yet in the void, Gu Xi, not yet landed, hadn’t noticed this pure gold mountain.

If it weren’t for Gu Xi inadvertently catching a flash of gold when about to enter this world, he might not have noticed any of this.

This gave Gu Xi a feeling in his heart.

This golden mountain could be the trace left by a previous Level 30 Overlord during the Creation period.

Just as Gu Xi was being deployed to the world in front of him, he noticed about a hundred thousand meteors falling from the sky along with him.

It seemed these were the other players participating in the Creation period.

Gu Xi didn’t expect that even after preparing so far in advance, he would still be deployed with other players.

Moreover, judging by the direction of the meteors’ flight, many players had already formed teams before entering this world.

He had no idea what their tasks were.

While Gu Xi was contemplating this, he suddenly felt as if something pulled him forward, followed by a loud bang.

Gu Xi felt a blur before his eyes, and when he came to his senses, he found himself in a deep pit on the ground.

The pit was obviously dug by someone, but how they dug it was a mystery; anyway, the pit before him was very uneven and appeared quite irregular.

Before Gu Xi could see his surroundings clearly, a cold voice rang out.

”Are you the mercenary accepting the employment?

To be honest, your way of appearing is somewhat... peculiar.”

Gu Xi stood up and looked in the direction of the voice.

He noticed a man with slightly tanned skin standing not far away.

The man wore a dust-colored linen clothing, carrying a backpack on his back, and his inconspicuous waistband was filled with various small gadgets.

In his hand, he held something resembling a pickaxe.

It was obvious that this man had dug all these pits.

”You are...” Gu Xi glanced at the man, took out the task list, and scanned it, ”You must be Mr. Kro.”

Watching the man who was Mr. Kro, Gu Xi muttered in his heart, quite an odd name.

Unexpectedly, the man named Kro nodded satisfactorily.

”The person sent this time is really good.

I can’t read your mind, it seems there’s a shielding as I requested, in terms of spirit.

This feeling is great.”

Gu Xi blinked helplessly; he didn’t know there was such a thing.

At this moment, Kro jumped in front of Gu Xi, circled him once, and then extended his hand to Gu Xi.

”You’re quite good, but did you come alone?

There’s a lot for me to protect here. Although I don’t like passive mind-reading, relying on just you for protection seems insufficient.”

”Hold on.”

Gu Xi interrupted Kro, flipping through the task list.

Gu Xi had previously looked over the task list, which only mentioned protecting someone to a certain place.

However, it did not specify who was to be protected or where to go.

Nor did it clarify who was primary and who was secondary in this escort mission.

Upon reopening the task list, Gu Xi discovered some changes to it.

The person was locked in.

It was Mr. Kro in front of him, though with several titles before his name.

Archaeologist, Botanist, Paleontologist.

Archaeology?

Gu Xi glanced at Kro again, seeing him still extending his hand.

Coming to his senses, Gu Xi quickly shook Kro’s hand, ”Mr. Kro, hello, my name is Gu Xi, you can call me Breath of the Dead.”

”Wait, Undead?”

Kro interrupted Gu Xi’s introduction.

”Yes, as you can see, I am an Undead Mage.”

I see a ghost.

Kro shouted loudly in his heart.

What about your attire says you’re an Undead Mage?

Even Elves exiled to the overseas islands dress like you.

Forget it, I understand that Elves aren’t doing well on the continent now, you must change titles to hide your identity; still, you should dress a bit better.

At the very least, you should look like an Undead Mage.

With your current appearance, who couldn’t see that you’re an Elf Shooter?

Kro was speechless, but he still said, ”So you are an Undead Mage, then I am much more relieved, in our line of work, we sometimes encounter ghostly things while digging, we’ll have to rely on your protection then.”
