”How long until the start of the Genesis Event?”

After understanding the situation in Ancestor City, Gu Xi shifted his focus to the upcoming Genesis Event.

”It’s hard to say, we’re still preparing resources.

Plus, we need to wait for that person to consolidate their power.

There are also various other matters, and the main players from each city haven’t been sent over yet.

From the current situation, it will take at least another six months to a year.

If you have any needs, you might want to head to Pei Xin City first.

When Genesis Event is about to launch, there will be a one-week notice in advance.

But by then, if you want to come back by train, you might not be able to get a spot easily.

And I can tell you directly that players involved in the first phase of Genesis get different rewards from those who aren’t.

The rewards come from two separate pools.

So even if they know life will be tough, they stay here, for this reason.

If you can’t handle it, just join a guild.

If you join now, there’s still a place to stay, but if you wait any longer, there might not be any left.”

Gu Xi shook his head; he didn’t ask this player where he got his work from.

There’s no need to think much about it; when the Genesis news first leaked, players who came to Ancestor City had occupied all the positions through various connections and means.

The jobs in Ancestor City provide not only a place to live but also extra benefits.

For newcomers like Gu Xi, no matter how much they ask, they won’t disclose how they got these jobs.

Even the wartime missions in the barracks, Gu Xi, who just arrived, might not be able to get one.

Didn’t you see so many players waiting outside the barracks? They are all here to snatch wartime missions.

Having been in Ancestor City for just one day, Gu Xi already understood it clearly.

This place is not as great as imagined.

Suppressing this thought, Gu Xi asked the player another question.

”If I want to communicate by letter, that shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

”Of course not, no matter how you send the letter, it won’t be affected. Ancestor City is just inconvenient for entry and exit, not isolated from the outside.”

”Then I have nothing else to ask.”

Gu Xi packed up his things and turned to leave.

As he reached the door, Gu Xi paused for a moment, ”Is there a chance for every player to participate in a barracks wartime mission?”

The player cleaning up the table looked up immediately upon hearing this.

”You’re smart.”

”So that’s how it is. I’m busy now, probably can’t take part in the wartime mission. Can you help me find a player to take over my task?”

”What do you mean by that?”

Gu Xi was speechless, wondering why this player wasn’t very clever.

This needed explanation and that needed explanation.

Gu Xi couldn’t understand how he got this position.

Feeling somewhat helpless, Gu Xi explained the situation.

”I believe those players outside are all queuing up for wartime missions.

If I give up my chance for a wartime mission, you can choose a player from them to complete it.

The rewards for the wartime mission would belong to the player you choose, how you negotiate is your own business.

I have only one request: the name must be mine.”

”What kind of request is that?”

The player in front of him was puzzled.

However, he didn’t refuse; the barracks had too many players waiting for wartime missions. Because of this, he secretly suppressed the news that every player could participate in one wartime mission when reporting for players.

This was his way of earning some gray income.

Now Gu Xi is giving up his wartime mission and his demands aren’t too high, so there’s no problem.

”Alright, I’ll handle this.”

Gu Xi nodded, waved goodbye, and left.

Gu Xi’s suggestion just now was a completely unexpected idea.

As he turned to leave, a flash of inspiration made Gu Xi suspect that each player coming over had one chance to participate in a wartime mission.

After all, Ancestor City is hosting the Genesis Event, definitely not just believing what players say.

Players need to complete some wartime missions, so the bigwigs in Genesis know what capabilities the players have and what positions they can be assigned to.

Wartime missions provide such opportunities, and many players are searching for these chances to improve themselves.

The ambitious players will surely try to participate in more missions to show their strengths, hoping to be recognized faster during Genesis so they can engage in more events.

Gu Xi decided to give up the opportunity for a mission.

After understanding the situation, this was his thought.

Gu Xi needs to stay here for half a year to a year.

Even if a wartime mission is difficult, it would take at most seven or eight days to handle.

Gu Xi doesn’t care about losing those few days.

At this moment, Gu Xi’s thinking was quite simple.

Give up the wartime mission.

Let other players complete the wartime mission, but still using Gu Xi’s name.

Thus, the information and intelligence that is sent out will naturally be fake.

This is what Gu Xi cares about most now.

Even though Gu Xi has decided not to participate in the third battle,

he can’t ensure absolute certainty. If something goes wrong in the third battle, and Gu Xi must get involved,

faced with a catastrophe, Gu Xi needs to consider everything carefully.

Hence, Gu Xi immediately thought about sending out some fake intelligence.

The current situation in the barracks is the perfect opportunity to send fake intelligence.

He believes this player will wrap up the matter well.

The player didn’t know Gu Xi’s intentions, and as he saw Gu Xi leave, he was puzzled, not knowing what Gu Xi wanted to do, only muttering to himself.

”Very strange.”

But Gu Xi didn’t hear this; after leaving the registration office, he looked up at the barracks above.

Even though he gave up the chance for a wartime mission, Gu Xi didn’t leave the barracks.

He continued upward to survey the interior of the barracks.

After all, this barracks is rather high-level, and the entire mountain is within the barracks’ boundary.

The occupied area has exceeded what Gu Xi had seen in other barracks before.

So Gu Xi also wanted to see what a near top-level barracks looked like.

Aside from the hall distributing wartime missions, the barracks may serve other functions.

These were things Gu Xi hadn’t considered before; Yalidu City needed to develop, and Gu Xi had much to learn.
