Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1120: Chapter 1118: Treasure, Magic-Banning Ball

It’s on fire!

With the thieves throwing the Blazing Fire Glue, all the catapults were set ablaze.

For a moment, the Shadow Hero on the south city wall was thrown into disarray.

At this time, another piece of good news reached Dominic.

The Giant Dragon Corps he had sent out earlier had already cleared away the unexpected Mud Dragon enemies.

Now, under Dominic’s command, the Giant Dragon Corps was flying from one end of the city towards the south city wall to join the final battle.

This was exactly why Dominic, facing such pressure, was able to wrap up the battle almost simultaneously with Gu Xi on the north city wall.

This time’s battle had its various issues.

Dominic was somewhat lacking in the overall grasp of the Maze Demon City, but he did everything that needed to be done in the siege defense battle.

Most importantly, he knew how to plan ahead, knew when to use magic, knew the strengths and weaknesses of his subordinates, and was willing to invest during the fight, which was sufficient.

After all, in Gu Xi’s eyes, his expectations for the leaders under him weren’t high.

Give you a task, as long as you’re not just a tool listening to commands.

Located at the north city wall, Gu Xi just wrapped up his battle and heard the news from Dominic’s side.

Gu Xi was silent for a moment, then turned and commanded: ”No need to gather, clean up the battlefield.”

Subsequently, Gu Xi looked to the sky again.

”Indeed, people’s potential is forced out.

I thought this siege defense battle would take one to two days to complete, but it ended in just a few hours.”

While Gu Xi was speaking, the recently regathered troops returned to the battlefield.

Earlier, Gu Xi was worried about Dominic’s situation and wanted to gather troops to aid him.

Now that the battle ended quite early, there’s no such necessity.

Gu Xi’s undead began to clean up the battlefield.

Since the opened Ghost Gate was bombed by the Deceitful Shadow.

Many of the Deceitful Energy Pearls originally intended for the undead were left behind.

Now, Gu Xi’s undead stacked them in a pile, and additionally selected the weapons used by the Deceitful Shadow and placed them aside, ready to transport them into the city once the city gate opens.

Just then, the strongest Ghost Dragon landed in front of Gu Xi, opening its mouth to spit out two items.

These were the two rusty items left by the deceased Shadow Hero.

Upon seeing the items spit out by the Ghost Dragon, Gu Xi was somewhat puzzled.

Could it be some kind of treasure he encountered, so he delivered it to me ahead of time?

Gu Xi pondered this while reaching to pick up one of the items that looked like a Magic Ball.

As Gu Xi picked up the rusty Magic Ball, he felt his hand grow heavy, and his mana seemed affected, not flowing smoothly.

[Magic-Banning Ball (Blue Treasure): Occupies an adornment slot when equipped, forming a Forbidden Demon Land within a five-mile radius centered on the user (can be opened or closed at will). In this area, all magic, except for talent skills, becomes ineffective.]

Upon seeing this equipment, Gu Xi’s eyes lit up.

At this moment, Gu Xi finally understood how the Shadow Hero previously immunized against his magic.

Magic-Banning Ball, indeed.

This is not a simple piece of equipment.

Although it’s not part of a set, it’s the best equipment targeted against Magic Heroes or Mage Players.

After all, the magic ban within a five-mile radius can suffocate a Mage Player.

Just think about it.

When a mage capable of flying through magical means and mastering world-devastating spells can’t cast a single spell, apart from being killed, what else can he do?

This Magic-Banning Ball truly lives up to its name as a Blue Treasure; both its power and effect surpass other equipment of the same level.

Let’s put it away for now.

Gu Xi did not equip the Magic-Banning Ball but put it into his pocket.

After all, the Magic-Banning Ball indiscriminately affects everyone; if it bans, it bans everyone together. As a Mage himself, Gu Xi would be affected.

If he truly used the Magic-Banning Ball, Gu Xi wouldn’t even be able to use his Soul Summoning Skill.

He would be limited to using various skills from his equipment, and what’s the point in fighting like that?

So for now, putting away the Magic-Banning Ball is the best option.

With the discovery of the Magic-Banning Ball, Gu Xi took interest in the other rusty item as well.

It was a rusty magnifying handle.

What kind of item is this?

Could this be an item for using the Eye of the Atmosphere or Eye of the Earth?

A flicker of curiosity flashed across Gu Xi’s mind as he picked up the handle.

[Focusing Handle (Purple Treasure): Occupies an adornment slot when equipped, can convert area spells or skills into single-target magic attacks (concentrating all the attack effects of the spells or skills on one enemy).]

Faced with the attributes in front of him, Gu Xi blinked and read through the properties description again.

He then understood the purpose of the Focusing Handle.

This is transforming group skills into single-target skills, focusing firepower to attack one enemy.

If it’s just large-area spells, it’s fine, at most the Flame Domain reverts to Fireball Skill type effects.

But Gu Xi had a feeling the item’s purpose wasn’t that simple.

Anyway, this thing doesn’t impact Gu Xi himself, so he simply equipped the [Focusing Handle] into his equipment slot.

Then Gu Xi surveyed the surroundings, pointing at an empty spot outside the city.

Death Ripple.

When casting Death Ripple, Gu Xi could clearly feel it was much easier to control.

He could opt not to use Death Ripple on a full screen, but instead concentrate all its attack into one spot, transforming Death Ripple into a Death Finger type effect.

Meanwhile, Gu Xi noted that as the attack range of Death Ripple shrank and shrank, its power grew stronger and stronger.

After a successful attack, Gu Xi tried several more skills.

Gu Xi found that the Focusing Handle, besides being effective with spells, was equally effective with effects brought by other equipment.

For instance, the Spirit Kill brought by Gu Xi’s Fox Eye Ring.

No matter how Gu Xi operated before, he could only designate one direction for the Spirit Kill.

But that meant sacrificing the Spirit Kill’s power in other directions.

But with the Focusing Handle, Spirit Kill could be changed from area attack to single-target attack.

Aimed at just one person.

Though the Spirit Kill’s power couldn’t be increased, still causing a 15-point loss in life to one person, focusing on one target would certainly result in smaller depletion compared to widespread depletion.

Gu Xi tested it; the Spirit Kill focused on one person only consumed 2 points of mana, saving considerably more mana, while the attack from the Fox Eye Ring was through spiritual assault.

That would be imperceptible.

No one would know what Gu Xi did.

But it could achieve different results.
