The player introducing Genesis to Gu Xi did not notice the flash of thought in Gu Xi’s eyes.

He was still talking about some rules for participating in Genesis.

In the first phase of Genesis, it’s best for all registered players to participate.

Only by participating in the first phase can they secure a spot in the first battle.

Afterward, all players must participate in the first battle, and for subsequent battles, players can choose whether to participate.

Ancestors’ City will award various rewards based on players’ performance in battle.

Rewards range from experience and troops to different equipment, medicines, and eventually even cities and orange armor.

Players can get whatever they want within Genesis.

While saying this, the player handed out flyers to Gu Xi.

Gu Xi glanced at the flyer and saw the first page featured some orange armor pieces that could be awarded as rewards.

To attract players’ attention, the attributes of these orange armor pieces were detailed.

Despite the fact that considerable battle points are needed to obtain orange armor.

This at least gives people something to aspire to, right?

Besides that, Gu Xi noticed many items available for trade.

Just as Gu Xi had guessed, Grass Returning Pill appeared on the trade list for the first time.

Scanning the required points for exchanging Grass Returning Pill, Gu Xi wondered whether he had quoted too low.

At this moment, the player began explaining the tasks planned after Genesis starts to Gu Xi again.

Genesis claims that seven battles will be fought, but whether they actually do is not reliant on the initiator of Genesis’s competence but rather on the combat power of participating players.

The longer a battle drags, the fewer Genesis battles can be fought.

Thus, before players engage in Genesis, the people of Ancestors’ City must arrange some coordination among players.

They need at least to know your capabilities to place you in a defendable position.

If you lack skill and are placed in danger, the situation could get complicated.

Therefore, combat rules need to be clearly stated in advance.

Placing a thick combat manual in front of Gu Xi, the player specifically added.

”You confirmed you’re an Undead Mage, right? Since you chose Undead Mage, tasks will be assigned accordingly.”

Gu Xi looked up at the player, ”Yes, I am an Undead Mage, professional.”

”Alright then, the Undead Mage combat manual is here, and all the requirements for undead combat are recorded within. Take it back and read it.

All these requirements must be fulfilled, as the scoring for battle performance will be based on them.

Don’t let it come to a point when your undead corps is needed, and you can’t summon a single undead, that would be awkward.

At the front of the combat manual is a library card; you can use it to borrow books from Ancestors’ City’s library.

If you need a place to stay in Ancestors’ City, you may queue at the barracks for ideas, or if absolutely necessary, resting by the roadside at the foot of Barracks Mountain is not prohibited.”

At this moment, Gu Xi was flipping through the combat manual.

The contents are quite detailed, explaining that the primary role of the Undead Mage is to provide sufficient cannon fodder troops and clear corpses.

These tasks are not too difficult.

However, for the cannon fodder troops provided by the Undead Mage, the combat manual has strict requirements.

Each Undead Mage must provide at least three thousand undead for combat.

Regardless of the path chosen by the Undead Mage, three thousand undead is a necessity.

Even if they’re all skeleton soldiers, this must be fulfilled.

Gu Xi raised his head, wishing to ask if three thousand undead was too few.

But as he looked up, the player immediately asked, ”How about it, need to exchange for another combat manual?”

”No need. Three thousand undead is sufficient?”

Gu Xi was genuinely curious.

Because three thousand undead is actually not a lot.

Most Undead Mages, with a bit of effort, could summon that much in three days, even if they start summoning.

If one has a city, it’s even quicker. With a Soul Summoning Tower and Soul Summoning Skill activated, you can have as many undead as you want.

When coming over, Gu Xi always thought Undead Mages in Genesis engaged in grand warfare.

Pushing tens of thousands of undead forward would resemble a marching undead calamity.

Yet, just three thousand undead? It seems disrespectful.

”You’re asking about this, aren’t you? Three thousand is enough. We’re going to Genesis, not engaged in an Undead Calamity.

We’re aiming to conquer the new world, suppressing it, completing various tasks, not turning the new world into the Undead World.

Undead Mages typically don’t go excessively big.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s question, the player realized, ”But don’t underestimate the three thousand undead; you cannot buy or borrow them. They must form combat power.

After all, deploying Undead Mages isn’t just a numbers game; it’s about completing tasks.

So you need to be clear about your circumstances, whether you can bring forth three thousand undead.”

”Of course, I can.”

Gu Xi assured him confidently.

Seeing Gu Xi speaking so confidently, the player did not utter further.

He’s conveyed the message, handed over the combat manual, so whether Gu Xi survives in Genesis depends on his performance.

”Lastly, let’s clarify some benefits Ancestors’ City offers for registered players.”

The player introduced to Gu Xi, ”In Ancestors’ City, 10-level players have access to facilities like the barracks, training ground, arena, library, tavern, auction house, market, black market, treasure shop, and cafeteria.

Other buildings are not open to outsiders.

Though you can enter public buildings, you won’t enjoy services there regularly.

Moreover, all registered players won’t be expelled from Ancestors’ City before Genesis starts.

However, game login devices cannot be used, preventing entry into games, instances, or one’s own city outside of Ancestors’ City space.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi couldn’t help but ask.

”Why can’t game login devices be used?”

”Because upon logging in, the exit point is locked at Pei Xin City for all.

It’s the same for everyone, as Ancestors’ City does not have an exit point.

Unless you want to queue again and take the train back from Pei Xin City.”

”No exit point?”

Gu Xi hadn’t anticipated such a situation.

”Right, you see so many players gathered here, don’t think they’re unaware of wasting time on games. It’s because once they enter the game, they’d have to travel here once more.”

Given this explanation, Gu Xi could understand better. Looking toward the door, he noticed even more players on the platform.
