Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1109: Chapter 1107: Maze Summoning

”This...”

Gu Xi thought for a moment and then slowly said, ”To achieve this effect, relying solely on my Soul Summoning Skill isn’t enough.

I can summon souls here once or twice, but I can’t keep summoning souls here all the time.

However, I do have an idea that maybe setting up an Undead Calamity Array in this maze might solve the problem.

But I’m not learned in setting up an Undead Calamity Array.

Let alone setting it up, if you are willing to learn yourself, you can go ahead and learn about it.”

Dominic wanted to say something in response to Gu Xi.

But after glancing at Gu Xi’s expression, Dominic decided to hold his tongue.

Even someone with low emotional intelligence could see that Gu Xi’s mood wasn’t particularly good right now.

After all, around Dominic, Gu Xi always had the feeling of being a tool-like NPC.

Every day, meeting Dominic means hearing about something the commander is missing, and something else the commander needs you to find.

Around Dominic, Gu Xi often pondered who exactly is playing the game.

In this matter, Gu Xi couldn’t possibly study the setup of the Undead Calamity Array solely for this maze.

The most Gu Xi would do is summon souls, turning all the bones in the city into an undead corps.

”Let’s release the maze first, I will summon souls, and after that, you can deploy the battlefield.”

Upon hearing this, Dominic involuntarily let out an ”oh”.

He checked the time and realized there wasn’t much time left until the monsters attack the city.

If they delayed any further, could they even fight the upcoming battle?

So Dominic quickly started operating at the obelisk.

Through his operation, the perpetually changing city streets finally paused, unaffected by the maze.

Gu Xi realized Dominic had moved the maze outside the city.

It seems he also recognized the maze’s greatest usefulness at the moment.

Thus Gu Xi decisively released his left hand, the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp emerged, and the Equipment Carrier of the White Bone Obelisk appeared in front of Gu Xi.

”Deploy the White Bone Soul-Calling Tower!”

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s command, the White Bone Obelisk raised its hand, and the White Bone Soul-Calling Tower appeared in the sky.

Though Gu Xi was within the Maze Demon City, his perception was beginning to expand outward.

He could feel that outside the city in the maze, there were a large number of skeletonized corpses.

The number of these corpses seemed quite substantial.

Initially, Gu Xi believed that there were only a few thousand or tens of thousands of corpses here.

But now it seemed he had underestimated the existence of the Mysterious Maze.

The Maze Demon City had previously gone through two owners.

During the first ownership, all troops in hand vanished in a single day.

During the second ownership, the city’s troops intermittently disappeared.

The creatures trapped in the maze were numerous.

Leaving others aside, there were already over a thousand starving giant dragons.

Not to mention the quantities of other types of troops.

This time, Gu Xi essentially struck a huge bargain.

The Ghost Dragon Book promptly flew out, this was valuable experience.

Over a thousand dead giant dragons, all summoned means over a thousand bone dragons.

Each additional bone dragon serves as a propulsion for the Ghost Dragon Book’s progress.

Gu Xi’s mana was limited, if he didn’t act quickly now.

Then when would he act?

Moreover, the records in the Ghost Dragon Book indicate that not only giant dragon corpses can be converted into undead dragon types.

Hydras and Scorpion Lions, both corpses, can also be converted into undead dragon types.

The number of Hydras and Scorpion Lions far exceeds the giant dragons.

Over a thousand giant dragon corpses denote five to ten times the number of Hydras and Scorpion Lions.

If luck was on Gu Xi’s side, this time’s summoning might just summon bone dragons with all his mana.

Gu Xi was unaware of this fact, and after pinpointing the location of the Mysterious Maze, his attention solely focused on the White Bone Soul-Calling Tower.

All white bone units level +3.

Soul Summoning Skill initiated!

As Gu Xi’s raised Illusion Magic Wand dropped heavily, his recently replenished and doubled mana was entirely drained.

Gu Xi hadn’t felt this sensation of mana depletion for a long while, he planted the Illusion Magic Wand into the ground, supporting himself to stand upright.

Immediately, a series of notifications sounded in his ears.

[Soul Summoning successful...]

[Soul Summoning successful...]

[Soul Summoning successful...]

These notifications almost blurred Gu Xi’s sight, fortunately, he quickly blocked all the messages to avoid any issues.

After temporarily blocking the messages, Gu Xi turned to Dominic and said, ”There are too many corpses inside, only part of them have been summoned, the rest will need me to replenish mana before proceeding.”

While speaking, Gu Xi noticed Dominic’s expression seemed somewhat abnormal.

He turned to look behind himself and discovered a large number of bone dragons and ghost dragons rising from outside the city wall.

The number of these ghost dragons and bone dragons was quite substantial.

Under Gu Xi’s command was a formidable ghost dragon corps of over six hundred.

He naturally knew how to assess the bone dragons.

At the sight of these bone dragons and ghost dragons rising from outside the city, Gu Xi silently began calculating in his mind.

The faster he calculated, the more expressions appeared on his face.

At that moment, Gu Xi’s heart was filled with surprise and regret.

How did he recklessly agree to Midonick’s request?

Seeing bones and ghost dragons rising here, totaling at least six thousand and five hundred, and all are powerful level 11 bone dragons.

Such a quantity of undead, not to mention they are high-level undead dragon corps, even if they were mere skeleton soldiers, they could still execute a Windward Slash to effortlessly slay dragons.

If supplemented into Gu Xi’s ghost dragon corps, Gu Xi could dominate effortlessly.

Ultimately, they were all to be deployed in the Mysterious Maze.

The perks were decisively taken by Dominic.

This made Gu Xi regret somewhat.

Though Dominic wasn’t emotionally intelligent, he was far from stupid.

Seeing Gu Xi’s expression change, Dominic immediately stepped forward to hold Gu Xi’s hand.

”My lord, you’re too good to me. With these bone dragons for protection, coupled with the maze here, the Maze Demon City can be considered impregnable.”

That single sentence blocked all wordy responses Gu Xi intended.

Gu Xi was internally furious.

Nevertheless, Gu Xi possessed a broad heart; with his mastery of the Soul Summoning Skill, upon encountering another Dragon Tomb, he’d likewise summon a massive batch of bone dragons.

Thus, though Gu Xi felt some loss over these bone and ghost dragons, they weren’t imperative for him to retain.

He cast a glance at Dominic.

”Dominic, with these bone dragons present, the objective for Maze Demon City should undergo some adjustments.”
