Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1140: Chapter 1138: Eye of the Storm

Gu Xi ate for a full hour and a half.

When walking out of the third cafeteria, Gu Xi felt like he had transformed into a different person.

Previously, due to irregular eating habits, coupled with the influence of Undead Magic and Negative Energy, and a lot of reading of various Magic Books during this period, Gu Xi’s health had actually become quite poor.

Sub-health would probably be an understatement.

If this continued, Gu Xi might as well start digitizing his body directly.

This meal didn’t make him the healthiest, but it alleviated several key issues.

Gu Xi estimated that after a few more meals like this, his health would show noticeable improvement.

By then, when he puts on his current equipment, no one would utter a word of mistake.

Everyone would surely think he is an Elf Shooter.

After leaving the third cafeteria, Gu Xi stood in front of the Evil Coffin for quite a while.

With the level of the third cafeteria, one can only wonder what levels the first and second cafeterias would be at.

Thinking this, Gu Xi proceeded to walk out.

Throughout the day, Gu Xi wandered around outside like this.

Wherever he went, he saw whatever there was to see. When hungry, he found some snacks nearby to eat; when it was mealtime, he visited ranked cafeterias for food.

At night, he even went to a tavern for a couple of drinks, before finally returning near the Library, and back to his Holy Silver Evil Coffin.

After eating some good things outside today, Gu Xi lost interest in the food stored in the Holy Silver Evil Coffin.

In Gu Xi’s view, what he ate today was indeed food; what he usually eats is just stuff to fill his belly.

However, Gu Xi did inquire and found out that the reason these chefs have such a level is mostly due to their skills only Players can master, besides their talent.

Heroes and Soldiers have no way of learning these.

Not to mention those Undead serving as staff in Yalidu City.

Their food, Gu Xi comments, doesn’t kill people.

”Such a pity, it would be great to have an Undead subordinate of a chef-level.”

Lying on the bed in the small room of the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, Gu Xi patted his belly and murmured.

Thinking about it now, it’s better to sleep early.

Just heard upon returning that the recruitment at the Library here is complete, and tomorrow they won’t come anymore.

By then, the Library will return to its usual tranquility.

Gu Xi will start to busy himself again with copying books.

Today was a rare moment of relaxation; tomorrow won’t be as leisure.

Drawing the curtains, Gu Xi planned to turn off the lights, but just then he felt something, secretly opened a gap in the curtains, and peeked outside.

Gu Xi noticed a group of people stealthily heading toward the mountain peak where the Library is.

The scene immediately captured Gu Xi’s attention.

It’s known that the Library isn’t a Barracks; it closes at eleven at night and opens at six in the morning.

During closing hours, no Player is allowed to stay.

The time was nearing eleven, what were these people intending to do going up?

While Gu Xi was still puzzled, he suddenly noticed many car lights in the nearby campers just turning off.

Evidently, he wasn’t the only one who discovered the situation, but most chose to mind their own business.

Ordinarily, Gu Xi would definitely make the same choice.

But today was a rare day of relaxation, plus after some nutritional boost, Gu Xi’s mind was quite clear.

He reacted instantly.

He found himself getting entangled in some matters.

With so many campers below the mountain, they dare to act so openly.

This indicates they certainly have ways to silence all Players afterward.

Either by giving sufficient benefits to keep Players quiet.

Or directly ensuring all nearby Players remain silent.

Gu Xi thought about it, fearing he didn’t have enough influence to have people offer good things to shut his mouth.

So he swiftly stood up, stomped the ground, and the Holy Silver Evil Coffin discreetly began to move away.

Gu Xi did not intend to stay here and watch the show.

The Holy Silver Evil Coffin quickly moved, preparing to leave.

By now, Gu Xi realized.

Someone must have their eyes on something inside the Library.

Previously recruiting people for exploration in Outer City District was likely to lure away Library Players.

After all, with Creation getting closer, the number of Players in Ancestor City is increasing.

There’s no shortage of Players like Gu Xi who just reached Level 10 in Ancestor City.

If recruiting for Outer City District, it wouldn’t be necessary to come to the Library; shouting on the streets would gather many people.

Without connecting many things earlier, Gu Xi naturally didn’t think of this.

Now that he’s figured it all out, Gu Xi won’t stay in the storm’s center courting disaster.

Gu Xi quietly moved away the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, but hadn’t moved a few steps before finding the small path blocked by a camper.

The camper was different from Gu Xi’s Holy Silver Evil Coffin.

It was a small house carried on the back of a yak.

Gu Xi had seen this camper a few times before and knew its owner is a Level 11 Wizard, specializing in ice and snow type spells.

But considering the yak’s movement, this individual hides their abilities deeply.

At least in Gu Xi’s eyes, the opponent is adept with Darkness and Shadow Spells.

Despite the large yak moving, it made no sound at all.

It even had the idea of Walking in the Underworld.

Gu Xi thought for a moment, now isn’t the time to make enemies; it’s better to first leave.

Thus, Gu Xi didn’t rush to bump into them or greet them, only quietly followed.

Soon that Player noticed Gu Xi’s presence.

He took a glance at Gu Xi behind him and made the same choice as Gu Xi.

Neither speaking nor obstructing, anyway, they would first leave together silently.

Gu Xi didn’t plan to follow all the way.

In Gu Xi’s plan, he intended to skirt around the mountain head to the third cafeteria.

There lay an inn and tavern, buildings openly available at night too.

Gu Xi could find an excuse to say he came to stay overnight, take a bath, eat well, etc.

After all, Gu Xi already ate a lot during the day, making this excuse quite reasonable.

Even if someone suspects, they wouldn’t dare act against Players inside an inn or tavern; not being caught in the act, suspicion would be useless.

But what Gu Xi didn’t expect was, when almost skirting one more mountain head and could see the tavern’s red lantern sign, a voice suddenly rang out.

”Where do you intend to go?”

Damn, caught!

Gu Xi startled internally, but his face showed nothing, he stepped out straightaway.

”Why do you care where I’m going? Never heard there’s a curfew in Ancestor City.”
