Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1108: Chapter 1106: Your Demands Are a Bit Much

When Dominic arrived in front of the Obelisk, Gu Xi, who had just withdrawn the Spirit Lamp, happened to come out to see what was going on in the city.

When he saw the Obelisk that had appeared in the city, Gu Xi couldn’t help but smile knowingly.

He understood that this was the result of the White Bone Obelisk suppressing the Mysterious Maze.

So he didn’t go over to check the situation, and instead walked toward a Giant Dragon that had collapsed nearby.

Because he was bringing way too many unit types like Ghost Dragons, Bone Dragons, and Ghost Dragons along with him.

Facing the Giant Dragon in front of him that was about to starve to death, Gu Xi didn’t have any thought of turning it into a Bone Dragon.

On the contrary, he was considering that, if he could nurse this Giant Dragon back to health, how strong its Combat Power would be.

With that in mind, Gu Xi walked up to the Giant Dragon and gently patted its forehead.

The Giant Dragon opened its eyes and glanced at Gu Xi, then immediately shut them again.

As a Giant Dragon, it could clearly see how many Bone Dragons and Ghost Dragons were behind Gu Xi.

How many Giant Dragons had to be killed to assemble an army like that?

This was someone it absolutely couldn’t afford to offend.

The Giant Dragon obediently lowered its head a bit with its eyes closed, making it easier for Gu Xi to pet it.

Gu Xi had no idea what was going on in this Giant Dragon’s mind; he only felt that the Giant Dragon in front of him seemed fairly well-behaved.

If it listens, that’s enough.

Gu Xi didn’t have any other demands.

Right at that moment, Dominic’s orders were passed down, and in the nearby Warehouse, the Cave Dwellers guarding it rapidly pushed out huge amounts of food.

They had no time to worry about ratios or anything like that now.

As long as it was edible, they sent it all up.

Frozen pork, frozen beef, and some meat that had been stored in the Warehouse for who knew how many years—anything they could haul out, they hauled out.

For the moment they didn’t care if eating this meat would cause any problems; first they had to get some to each Giant Dragon.

Standing in front of this Giant Dragon, Gu Xi naturally saw the Cave Dwellers delivering the meat.

As the frozen meat was brought over, the Giant Dragon furtively opened one eye and cautiously glanced at Gu Xi.

After confirming that Gu Xi hadn’t made a move to turn it into a Bone Dragon, it stretched out its neck and used its tongue to roll up the frozen meat and eat.

Its movements were so cautious that it didn’t look like a Giant Dragon at all.

Gu Xi took one look at this Giant Dragon and understood why it was being so careful.

Gu Xi didn’t want to stay here any longer; otherwise, even if this Giant Dragon didn’t get its neck broken, its nerves might snap and kill it.

Right now the Demon City was severely short on troops; if he could keep one more Giant Dragon, he’d keep one more.

After thinking for a moment, Gu Xi still decided to head toward the Obelisk.

Gu Xi guessed that Dominic must have rushed to the Obelisk at the first possible moment.

Although the Mysterious Maze had been suppressed, Gu Xi still had to go take a look at the outcome.

At the very least, he needed to know whether the Mysterious Maze had undergone any other changes after being suppressed.

Just as Gu Xi was preparing to go to the Obelisk, he suddenly felt the ground tremble slightly as a group of Minotaurs ran past him.

Then the road ahead changed—though it didn’t turn into that black-brick or mosaic-style Maze, it was obvious the path had shifted.

Gu Xi immediately understood that Dominic had already made contact with the Obelisk and had also taken control of the Mysterious Maze.

So Gu Xi jumped onto the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, personally steered the direction, and sped toward the Obelisk.

However, Gu Xi noticed something: even with his Pathfinding Skill fully active, his movement speed in the Maze still couldn’t be boosted.

Sometimes the Pathfinding Skill would offer several different options, forcing Gu Xi to judge for himself which route was better.

As a result, Gu Xi’s speed still got dragged down a bit.

By the time he reached the Obelisk, Gu Xi found that the Obelisk had already been completely dealt with.

Dominic was there, using the Obelisk to control the Mysterious Maze’s abilities and adjusting the condition of the Demon City.

Seeing Gu Xi walk over, Dominic immediately spoke to him.

”My lord, may I make a suggestion?”

”What suggestion?”

Gu Xi asked, a bit curious.

When it came to a Leader Level subordinate’s ideas, Gu Xi would at least take them into account.

”I want to rename this city Maze Demon City. And if I have my own Legion in the future, I’d like to call it something like Maze Legion.”

Gu Xi hadn’t expected Dominic to make this kind of request.

Judging by this, he really had seized full control over the Mysterious Maze.

That was actually a good thing.

Gu Xi only stayed silent for a moment before agreeing.

After all, this was a trivial matter, and Gu Xi wasn’t the type to fall out with someone over a name.

What his units were called didn’t affect Gu Xi’s Combat Power.

”Fine. From now on this city will be called Maze Demon City, and your Legion will be named Maze Legion.”

”Many thanks, my lord.”

Dominic said, quite happily.

”By the way, Dominic, you’ve already taken control of this Obelisk, right? Tell me about the situation with the Mysterious Maze.”

”All right. I’ve already used the Obelisk to seize control of the Mysterious Maze. Now the Maze can be deployed according to my wishes.

There are two ways to deploy the Maze. One is to deploy it all outside the city.

If we deploy all of it, we can push it outward from the City Wall as a starting point, for about two thousand three hundred meters.

Within this range, anyone who enters the Maze dies.

The second way is to deploy it all inside the city.

Right now Maze Demon City is in that state.

The entire city will become a Maze; here, everything will be changing at all times. Whether they’re enemies or our own people, once the city’s Maze is activated, none of them will be able to find their way.”

Listening to this, Gu Xi was a bit speechless.

Deploying the Maze outside the city was understandable—just treat it as an extra Maze-like Moat.

But a Maze inside the city? Gu Xi really couldn’t wrap his head around it. Why should all the city’s residents have to suffer through this Maze?

Right at that moment, Dominic instead added:

”My lord, there’s something I might need to tell you.”

That sentence drew Gu Xi’s attention.

”What is it?”

”It’s like this: many creatures have died inside the Mysterious Maze—some from this city, some from outside, and there are also some Giant Dragon corpses.

Those corpses have just about all turned into bones now.

My lord, you know me.

Although I’ve mastered the Soul Summoning Skill, my Summoning results definitely aren’t as good as yours.

So I’d like to ask you to step in and turn all the White Bone inside the Maze into Undead.”

”Sure, that’s a good thing.”

Gu Xi agreed without even thinking about it.

But then Dominic asked again, ”After we Summon these Undead, can we keep them all inside the Maze? And if possible, could we have all enemies who die in the Maze become new Undead as well? That would be even better.”

Gu Xi gave Dominic a look.

Your demands are getting a bit much, aren’t they!
