Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1112: Chapter 1110: Deceitful Shadow’s Advance

None of the Giant Dragons had any objections to the Holy Dragon’s decision.

After all, the enemy was already dead.

They couldn’t take these Deceitful Energy Pearls with them anyway.

And they weren’t Gold, which they liked best.

Spitting out a blast of Flame to burn these Deceitful Energy Pearls was, to them, just a casual flick of the claws.

So they did it.

All the Giant Dragons took to the sky, circled once in the air, then unleashed another wave of Dragon Breath toward the piles of Deceitful Energy Pearls on the ground.

Under the Dragon Breath’s Flames, most of the Deceitful Energy Pearls were burned into vapor.

After finishing this, the Giant Dragons circled in the air for a short while, and only when they saw nothing abnormal did they turn and fly toward the Maze Demon City.

Some time after the Giant Dragons departed, beneath the former Deceitful Shadow gathering ground, the great mass of Black liquid that had seeped underground at the very beginning slowly seeped back up.

This Black liquid flowed in a circle over the area, searching through the soil and finding a few Deceitful Energy Pearls that hadn’t been burned away by the Dragon Breath Flames.

Then, combined with its own volume and the earth above, it actually began to automatically assemble.

However, because the Giant Dragons had burned away a huge amount of Deceitful Energy Pearls before leaving, the materials the Black liquid could find were insufficient, so during assembly it had to make up the difference with some ordinary, non-spiritual soil.

Using Black liquid, some of the Deceitful Energy Pearls, plus a certain amount of soil, these strange masses before their eyes ultimately formed mud effigies of the Giant Dragons that had just attacked the Deceitful Shadows.

Judging from the shape of these mud effigies, they matched the previous attacking Giant Dragons in both number and form; one could say this was already a faithful one-to-one full replica.

The only problem was the color was off.

Most of these mud effigies were the color of earth, streaked with some Black patterns.

Compared to the Deceitful Shadows, the colors were more distinct and clear.

Once all the Giant Dragon effigies had been sculpted, these mud Giant Dragons began flapping their wings, flying in the direction from which the Giant Dragon Corps had come.

It was just that more than half of their bodies were made of mud, heavy and hard.

Flapping their wings could get them off the ground for a short distance, but they couldn’t soar in the high sky like real Giant Dragons; their Flying could rise only more than ten meters off the ground, and reaching seven or eight hundred meters was already quite good.

Most of the time, they still moved primarily by crawling along the ground.

After these mud Giant Dragons took shape, they headed straight toward the Maze Demon City, with no intention of lingering at the Deceitful Shadow gathering ground to wait for other Deceitful Shadows.

In the eyes of these mud Giant Dragons, their current unit was already sufficient.

They had just gathered more than eight thousand Deceitful Shadows, only to be annihilated in one strike by the Giant Dragons diving from the sky.

Now they had recombined themselves following those Giant Dragons’ forms; this was a force with enough Combat Power. If they went now, they were certain they could defeat those Giant Dragons from before.

At the same time, the other two Deceitful Shadow gathering grounds had also assembled sufficient Deceitful Shadow strength.

Unlike the more than eight thousand Deceitful Shadows here that had been directly wiped out by the Giant Dragons,

at the other two gathering grounds, because there were Heroic Level Deceitful Shadows present, the total number of assembled Deceitful Shadows was noticeably higher.

One of the Deceitful Shadow units had already reached about fifteen thousand in number.

Among them, there were more than four thousand Deceitful Shadows at Level above Level 5, and more than six hundred that had exceeded Level 8.

In addition, there were over three hundred Deceitful Shadows at Level 10 or higher.

The remaining Deceitful Shadows, even if they were below Level 5, had just received various weapons and equipment, and their Combat Power had been improved to some extent.

In order to gather these Deceitful Shadows, this Heroic Level Deceitful Shadow had practically scraped a layer off the surrounding land.

All the nearby Illusionary Villages and camps now had no usable Deceitful Shadows left; even the Deceitful Shadows at nearby Resource points had all been summoned.

If they wanted to find more Deceitful Shadows, they would have to go much farther afield.

The round trip would take a lot of time.

So the Heroic Level Deceitful Shadow didn’t go further afield to call in more troops; in its view, the current force should already be enough to take the newly appeared city.

In fact, this Heroic Level Deceitful Shadow wasn’t wrong.

If Gu Xi hadn’t been providing support from behind, the Maze Demon City that had just been built would have been severely short on troops.

With ten times the manpower to assault Maze Demon City, the odds of capturing it would be quite high.

Not to mention that this expedition wasn’t the only Deceitful Shadow unit attacking from this direction.

On another front, there was also a nine-thousand-strong Deceitful Shadow force advancing under the command of another Heroic Level Deceitful Shadow.

Unlike the other two units,

this Deceitful Shadow unit had its Levels directly pushed up.

This Deceitful Shadow Hero was the type who valued higher Levels over sheer numbers.

Under his command, every Deceitful Shadow soldier was Level 5 or above.

More than half of them were Level 8 or higher.

If one paid attention to their weapons, one would find that many of these Deceitful Shadow soldiers were bizarre beings with multiple arms or extra human heads.

Clearly, when this Deceitful Shadow Hero assembled his forces, he had the Deceitful Shadows fight one another directly.

Using the Life of ordinary Deceitful Shadows to strengthen the Levels of the others.

This was precisely why, even though both sides had Heroic Level Deceitful Shadows raising banners, this side’s numbers were lower.

But though they were fewer, their Combat Power was more than sufficient.

Moreover, their weapons weren’t distributed per head; it was simply: you can carry as many as you can take.

Within this Deceitful Shadow unit, every kind of weapon was present; looking at those Deceitful Shadows with three to more than ten arms, each holding weapons forged from all kinds of materials, anyone would feel their mind thrown into chaos.

A unit like this, if used to attack a city defended by ordinary troops, could easily take it.

The two Deceitful Shadow Heroes’ units, together with the mud Giant Dragon force, formed three armies that were advancing simultaneously toward the Maze Demon City.

At this moment, Dominic had already finished counting the Giant Dragons in the city that were on the verge of starving to death.

Those who had managed to crawl out alive from the Mysterious Maze—whether they still had the strength to Fly or not, whether they had flown to the castle to wait for food or collapsed in the streets waiting to be fed—

they were all Elites among Giant Dragons.

Inside the Mysterious Maze, for the sake of a single bite of food, they had all gone through many brutal battles.

The weakest among these Giant Dragons were already at Level 9, and some had even reached around Level 12.

The Giant Dragons here were mainly Black Dragons, with Red Dragons and Green Dragons each making up half of the remainder.

The total number came to more than three hundred and sixty.

After one round of feeding, their Physical Strength recovered somewhat.

Though they still looked like bags of bones, Flying was no longer a problem.

Once the returning Giant Dragons landed at the Maze Demon City’s castle, Dominic immediately mixed them together with the Giant Dragons that had just flown back.

Thus he formed the first battalion of Dominic’s Labyrinth Corps—the Giant Dragon Camp!
