Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 112: Chapter 110: The True Scattered Immortal Garden

”Yes, I’m a new intern of the Chaoyang Radiance Guild. I received the mission to transport troops to the Scattered Immortal Garden. This time, I transported five divisions, totaling 5,500 people. We encountered battles along the way, with 204 casualties. The rest were all delivered.”

When Gu Xi saw Shu Daiyi preparing to handle business, he immediately spoke up and prepared to open the city gate to deliver the transported Undead Corps directly.

”Wait, don’t leave the troops here. I’ll take you there.

Additionally, during the transportation of the troops, a 10% loss is allowed. Just ensure you hand over 5,000 soldiers, and the rest are yours.”

”Ah.”

”No ’ah.’ Come with me. I’ll take you to meet the City Lord. However, the guild made gains this time. You’re at the level cap during your internship, which means your talent is quite impressive.”

Level cap?

Gu Xi was momentarily stunned, only to realize that he had unknowingly reached the level 5 experience standard. However, due to the activation task being stuck, he temporarily couldn’t level up.

Meanwhile, Gu Xi noticed that all the overflowing experience was stored. With the current situation, he had gained over 5,000 experience points just now.

Gu Xi furrowed his brows and quickly scrolled up, finally finding the clue in the notifications.

”[Death Incarnation (Spell Product) killed Otherworldly Ghost Boss (Level 9), you gained 5,133 experience points (Experience +5%)].”

The bridegroom is dead!

Gu Xi was quite certain about his thoughts.

Seeing Gu Xi frown, Shu Daiyi, who was leading the way in front, also smiled.

”What, you don’t know how to activate your own talent?”

”Ah, yes, I didn’t learn this in the academy.”

Gu Xi smiled and quickly explained away the matter.

”Don’t worry, since it’s not taught in the academy, the guild will surely arrange it. You’re an Undead Mage, so my method isn’t suitable for you. Later, you can talk to the City Lord. You’ll soon be able to activate your talent and level up again.”

As Shu Daiyi spoke, he led Gu Xi in a certain direction.

Since Gu Xi was riding the Evil Coffin, Shu Daiyi called out his own mount, which was a purple warhorse. The entire body of the warhorse was clad in thick horse armor, revealing only a pair of eyes burning with ghostly blue flames.

Next to the warhorse, a purple battle banner was placed. On the banner was a depiction of a little elf with butterfly wings.

After mounting the warhorse, Shu Daiyi pulled up the battle banner, and three elves flew out from nearby, following behind Shu Daiyi.

The size of these three elves was about the same as ordinary elves, dressed in purple robes, with butterfly wings on their backs emitting ghostly blue light.

”What is this?”

”Oh, my ghouls joined us. I’m taking you to meet the City Lord.”

Ghouls?

Gu Xi felt speechless. There are ghouls looking like this? Am I possibly joining a fake Undead Guild?

Their group quickly arrived at a mud house on the edge of the Sealed Soil.

Compared to the various buildings outside, the mud house in front wasn’t tall, appearing only a little over two meters high, a solitary room.

Inside the mud house, there was an old man wearing burlap clothes and holding a broom.

This old man had a style different from the guild master’s immortal aura; he was genuinely old, with wrinkles deep enough to pinch a person to death.

Upon seeing Gu Xi arrive, the old man first put down the broom in his hands and then straightened his back.

”You must be the comrade who transported the troops over, right? Where’s the army?”

”I have them all with me. Should I let them out now?”

Gu Xi glanced around. The space here was quite small.

”Come in and let’s talk.”

The old man gestured for Gu Xi to enter the mud house.

At this time, Shu Daiyi also said to the old man, ”City Lord, the person has been delivered; I have to go on patrol, so I won’t linger here.”

”You may go. I’ll handle things here.”

The old man gestured to Gu Xi.

Gu Xi knew that this was the City Lord of the Scattered Immortal Garden and thus dropped his guard and followed him into the small house.

”This small house is where the Tomb Guardian lives near the Sealed Soil mound. After we took over, we modified this small house to become an elevator entering the Scattered Immortal Garden.”

Ah!

Gu Xi was stunned on the spot.

Elevator?

He had thought it was the assembly hall of the Scattered Immortal Garden.

Unexpectedly, it was an elevator.

As they spoke, Gu Xi felt a slight tremor in the ground, and when the tremor stopped, the old man then opened the door, taking Gu Xi out.

Upon exiting the elevator, Gu Xi couldn’t help but be amazed at the scene before him.

They had reached an underground cave, and when looking up, he found the cave ceiling covered entirely with purple crystals. Light refracted from unknown sources fell on these crystals and then reflected out, turning the whole cave purple.

In the cave, there was a large city with an area of at least 300 square kilometers.

The entire city was built around a giant stone pillar.

Countless corpses were climbing upwards on the stone pillar, and Gu Xi noticed numerous light spots continuously swirling around the pillar.

”What is this?”

”This is the underground of the Sealed Soil mound and the main part of the Scattered Immortal Garden. Of course, we don’t know what this city was called before. The only known fact is that someone called themselves a Loose Immortal is buried at the top of that stone pillar, which is the burial point of the Sealed Soil mound.

Don’t look at me like that. We discovered this while digging through records under the Sealed Soil tomb chamber; the person up top self-identified as a Loose Immortal.

You see those purple crystals up there? They are energy emanating from the corpse of that Loose Immortal, which is also the Dragon Blood Crystal that we usually need.

The metal on the ground affected by the emanating energy is what we refer to as Dragon Steel.

We’re normally tasked with maintaining the balance here to prevent anyone from disrupting it.

We also collect some materials here. This world has been invaded recently, and in response to certain situations, some of the city’s troops were reassigned, complicating the situation.

By the way, where are your soldiers?”

Gu Xi finally reacted, stifling his shock, opened the gates of Death City, and five Undead Corps quickly marched out from the city.

Seeing the soldiers appear, the old man shifted from his earlier demeanor, and with a serious and earnest face, he began counting the number and strength of the five Undead Corps.

After ensuring sufficient numbers without just filling ranks with random Undead, the old man satisfactorily nodded at Gu Xi.

”Well done, comrade. The arrival of this batch of troops has solved my biggest problem. I have matters to attend to now, so I won’t keep you. This is proof of your mission completion. Once you exit this world, you can go to the Civil Affairs Hall to exchange it for a reward.”

As he spoke, the old man handed a silver bone-like object to Gu Xi.

Without waiting for Gu Xi to ask what that was, the old man decisively ordered.

”Yinfeng Camp, Ghost Qi Camp, take off; Earth Camp, suppress the mutations.”
