Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 117: Chapter 115: Turnaround

Gu Xi thought that was the end of it, but actually, more troublesome matters were yet to come.

Just as the three Other Ghost Bosses appeared, from the critical building Gu Xi was protecting came a sound.

Gu Xi turned around and saw a large number of white papers flying from nowhere, starting to stick to the building.

Du Wushuang, who had been directions unknown, was now struggling to fend off the attacks of the white papers.

Seeing Gu Xi coming over, Du Wushuang wanted to say he could handle it, but he didn’t even have the chance to speak.

Gu Xi had already seen that this location had become the focus of the enemy’s attack.

At the very least, the building behind him was crucial in this battle.

But Gu Xi was still somewhat puzzled. What was it about this building that capturing it would tip the scales?

Although unsure of what was going on, Gu Xi immediately made a decision.

”Ghosts go help him, Zombies defend, Skeleton Shooters target the Raven-head upfront, Luna!”

As Gu Xi’s Contracted Undead, Luna understood his intentions best. Upon hearing Gu Xi’s command, she let out a Banshee Wail towards the red-skinned foe.

The guy targeted at Luna lunged in her direction.

And Luna quickly retreated, swiftly passing over the spot where the Headless Knight had fallen.

As Luna calculated the landing point, she could outpace the guy each time, and as Luna crossed the Headless Knight’s corpse, it was precisely when the monster landed.

At that moment, Gu Xi decisively pointed at the Headless Knight’s corpse.

”Corpse Burst!”

The Headless Knight’s body exploded just when the creature landed, even stepping on the Headless Knight’s corpse.

With the explosion, the Headless Knight’s body and armor were blown apart on the spot, armor fragments pierced into the monster’s body like steel knives.

However, the monster had quite a strong life force. The Headless Knight’s Corpse Burst did not kill it.

Seeing this, Gu Xi immediately initiated a few more Corpse Bursts nearby.

Unfortunately, most Slime corpses left from the last battle had already been blown up by Gu Xi; only a few remained here.

Gu Xi’s Corpse Bursts went off two or three more times without much effect.

At this point, Gu Xi shouted, ”Luna!”

Luna understood what Gu Xi meant instantly and, while she had been retreating, she swiftly charged forward, bypassing the monster, and flew to Gu Xi’s side.

As Luna circumvented the monster, she had already used the Touch of Frost, turning the creature ice-blue.

Of course, this cold wasn’t too intense for the creature in front of them, affecting it for at most one to two seconds.

But one or two seconds was enough for Gu Xi.

Gu Xi stood on the Evil Coffin and using its speed, rushed beside the creature.

”Death Incarnation!”

Just as the ice on the creature’s body vanished and it tried to move, Gu Xi unleashed the Death Incarnation.

The Death Incarnation, charging from the black mist, bit into the creature.

If the creature had been in a complete state, this might have only seriously injured it.

But the earlier Corpse Bursts and Luna’s Touch of Frost had already weakened it considerably.

Now, with the Death Incarnation, a firm bite at the creature’s waist and a vigorous shake, it tore the creature into two.

And Gu Xi wasn’t idle either; after gulping down a Magic Potion, he slammed the Shattering Staff down on the creature’s head, even denting the skull.

After killing the big one, Gu Xi turned and glared at the old woman and White-haired Warrior, startling them to retreat a few steps.

Seizing this opportunity, Gu Xi decisively turned his gaze toward the white papers stuck on the building.

Gu Xi had figured it out. These white papers were the key to this battle, both the old woman and the White-haired Warrior, and even the red-skinned monster he killed, were merely distractions.

Only by dealing with these white papers could the crisis be resolved.

Gu Xi raised his hand to the sky, and the Death Incarnation flew into the air.

At the same time, the Evil Coffin under Gu Xi’s feet carried him towards the building.

While Gu Xi was making his move, Luna had already taken over command of Gu Xi’s forces.

Although Gu Xi had made the old woman and White-haired Warrior retreat a few steps, it didn’t mean they could afford to be careless.

With command in Luna’s hands, she directed the Skeleton Soldiers to fight against the Raven-headed Warriors.

These Raven-headed Warriors were about as strong as the Ghost Soldiers Gu Xiyu had encountered before, but they all wielded weapons like the Long Spear, and their armor was entirely Zha Armor, armor woven from grass.

One wonders how they dared to trust in such armor so confidently.

But when the Skeleton Soldiers attacked, whether with the Bone-Slicing Sword two-handed longsword or other Skeleton Soldiers’ weapons, they were quite effective against the Zha Armor.

The only ones suppressed were the arrows of the Skeleton Shooters.

The arrows hitting the Zha Armor seemed unable to penetrate deeply, not affecting the Crow Soldiers’ combat.

Noticing this, Luna immediately shifted targets to the old woman.

Under Luna’s command, the Skeleton Shooters advanced further, almost at the forefront of the battlefield.

Such frontal shooting proved highly effective, as the old woman was once again targeted, and this time she couldn’t muster another root defense web, relying only on her Long-legged Crucible to dodge continuously.

But the Skeleton Shooters then switched to Arrow Rain Attack.

It transformed from a focused attack into an area attack.

This time, the old woman couldn’t escape, and with one round of attacks, the old woman was fine, but her mount, the Long-legged Crucible, was nailed to the ground.

Another round of focusing fire followed, and though she tried to take various magic potions, it was too late.

Being a magic system entity with low defense and life force, under two rounds of focusing fire, the old woman finally fell dead on the spot.
