Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 120: Chapter 118: Unexpected Spoils of War

”Hey, the battle isn’t over yet. Are you okay with wasting Mana like this?”

Looking at Gu Xi’s actions, Du Wushuang was a bit speechless. Gu Xi had just downed a bottle of Magic Potion, and now he was wasting Mana here. If something happens later, can he still take out a bottle of Magic Potion?

Gu Xi didn’t respond to her. Instead, he took out a bottle of Magic Potion and shook it in the direction of Du Wushuang.

Then, Gu Xi turned his attention to the Skeleton that had just gotten up.

Gu Xi’s Soul Summoning Skill level is close to Level 5, but the summoned Undead are still the same as before. No matter how strong the used corpse and soul are, the summoned ones are always Level 0 Skeletons.

Gu Xi couldn’t do anything about this, unless he got some corresponding equipment or special Skills.

However, this time Gu Xi didn’t request to replenish the lost troops immediately. Instead, he focused on increasing the proficiency of the Soul Summoning Skill and gathering a batch of Skeletons to clean up the battlefield. These Level 0 Skeletons were just right.

When these Skeletons got up from the ground, the first thing they did was pick up the long spears originally belonging to the Crow Soldiers. As for the Crow Soldiers’ Conical Hats and Zha Armor, they had already been damaged when the corpses transformed into Skeletons.

Moreover, Gu Xi didn’t care for such trash, so he naturally didn’t let them collect it.

Yet, the white-haired Warrior’s corpse, torn in two by the Death Incarnation, the old woman’s corpse killed by focused fire from the Skeleton Shooter, and all sorts of Crucibles, were brought to Gu Xi.

The red-skinned monster’s corpse and the blood and flesh from the Headless Knight were also brought along.

By the way, the Headless Knight’s Warhorse was actually still alive, locked by Heavy Armor Zombie with Iron Chains, and brought to Gu Xi by the Skeletons.

As the items were delivered one by one, Gu Xi turned to Du Wushuang and said.

”Is there something you want? You can come pick one.”

Du Wushuang waved her hand repeatedly, ”No, this battle was almost entirely your effort. I didn’t have significant achievements, these are your spoils. I better not take anything.”

”What’s the big deal? We’re guarding one place together; that’s fate. I see you only use Two-Handed Sword, so this one is for you.”

As Gu Xi spoke, he took out the Tachi from the white-haired Warrior’s body and handed it to Du Wushuang.

[Iron Cutting (Blue, Main Hand Weapon)]

[Attack: 6-9]

[Equipped: Agility +3]

[Equipment Requirement: Agility 3]

[Special 1: Iron Cutting, held with both hands, calm breath, a single slash, can sever all items with a Metal attribute in one go.]

[Special 2: Continuous Slash, during an attack there may be a Continuous Slash; the number of slashes is related to Agility, each slash at 85% of the previous slash’s power.]

[Description: Quick Slash and Slow Slash both have advantages, but balance is not an option. You must decide whether to go fast or slow.]

When Du Wushuang received this Samurai Sword, she was shocked by its Attributes.

”This won’t do; this is already Blue Quality, very precious. I can’t take it.”

”Just take it if I give it to you, what’s the issue with taking it?”

Gu Xi pushed Iron Cutting into Du Wushuang’s hand and began checking other items.

Besides the Iron Cutting samurai sword, the white-haired Warrior only had a piece of white baboon skin left; all other Armor and Equipment were melted due to Melting Light’s effect.

As for his body, it was torn into two pieces, so making a Skeleton out of it wasn’t really possible.

However, Gu Xi did find something good on the white-haired Warrior, and it was his head of white hair.

[Lion King’s Mane (Green): Long hair transformed from the white Lion King’s mane, can serve as Tailor Materials for making clothes or Battle Banners.]

Gu Xi hadn’t expected that this head of white hair would be considered good material, so he drew out a Longsword, and swiftly scraped off all of the white-haired Warrior’s hair, turning him into a bald Warrior.

Then, Gu Xi had his men drag the bald Warrior’s corpse away and shifted his gaze to the old woman who had turned into a target for arrows.

This old woman similarly had a piece of white baboon skin. Gu Xi already had four pieces of this, unsure if gathering seven would summon a Dragon.

Unlike the white-haired Warrior, this old woman clearly had more items.

She should be from a Pharmacist-type profession as she carried various Potions with her.

[Mana Potion (Large): Instantly replenishes 1500 Mana Value upon drinking.]

[Life Potion (Large): Instantly replenishes 800 Life Value upon drinking.]

[Lion King Potion (Green): Upon drinking, Power and Agility +4, duration of 30 minutes.]

[...]

[Undetermined Potion (Grey): An undetermined Potion, no one knows the effect of drinking it.]

[...]

[Failed Potion (Grey): A failed Potion, drinking it has an 80% chance of poisoning.]

[...]

Watching Gu Xi take out various colored Potion Bottles from the old woman one after another, Du Wushuang, holding Iron Cutting, was speechless.

Just how many bottles are there? Who exactly is this old woman, having so many Potions?

At this moment, Gu Xi took out a small Thumb-sized Potion Bottle, filled with a potion that shimmered like a gemstone inside.

”The last bottle, this one is truly a treasure.”

[Active Potion (Blue): A special Potion. When dropped onto any item, it endows the item with life, sprouting hands or feet and developing a certain level of intelligence.]

Looking at this Potion in his hand, Gu Xi was reminded of all the legged Crucibles from before, apparently caused by this Potion.

So, Gu Xi beckoned towards the Crucibles not far away, and two Skeletons lifted a Crucible and brought it over.

[Inactive Active Crucible (Grey): For some reason, an Active Potion Crucible that came to life can automatically concoct various Magic Potions, but clearly this Crucible is already dead.

While concocting potions is possible, automatic concoctions are not to be hoped for.]

After a glance at the Attributes of this item, Gu Xi looked up at the pile of Crucibles not far away, ”How many are there here?”

”117, all dead.”

At this point, Luna floated over to Gu Xi’s side, responding to Gu Xi’s question.

”Collect them all; these are good items. When we return, I’ll try to find the Architectural Design Plan for an Alchemy Laboratory and build one to see if they can be put to use.”

”Alright.”

Luna happily agreed, directing the Skeletons to carry these dead Crucibles into the gates of Yalidu City.

Meanwhile, Gu Xi’s attention turned to other spoils of the battle.
