The War God Academy team was walking down the tunnel entrance they had emerged from.

When the arena’s cover was lifted, the rest of the eliminated team members were teleported back without any external injuries on them.

.

The moment Alec saw this, he didn’t pause to wave at his fans or engage with the red-haired referee who wanted to speak with him.

Instead, he started walking toward the tunnel entrance with determination.

His goal was to return back to his quarters as quickly as possible, and as captain, the rest of the team followed closely behind him.

But that didn’t stop the fans from chanting his name, though.

The fervent supporters he had gathered were even more animated after witnessing another masterful display from Alec.

To them, he was now seen as unbeatable, a sentiment that didn’t sit well with some fans from the Great Eight Academies who were reluctant to acknowledge Alec’s prowess.

As Alec and his team walked through the tunnel, he noticed a shared space to their left side, it was another entrance and at the moment the members of the Battle Mage Academy were beginning to emerge from that same location.

When the War God Academy team saw the Battle Mage team approach, they all tensed up, fearing a confrontation.

Ironically, the Battle Mage Academy was the only team they had encountered before the competition even began, which gave them some familiarity with their rivals.

However, seeing a team they once regarded as a colossal opponent appear in front of them triggered a whirlwind of thoughts.

But the next moment took them by surprise as the entire Battle Mage Academy team erupted in laughter and moved toward the War God Academy team, embracing them.

This unexpected shift caught everyone off guard; they were stunned by how things had unfolded, yet, upon hearing words of congratulations from the Battle Mage Academy members, the War God Academy team began to relax a little.

“It’s a pleasure to meet the one who’s been making me quite a lot of money these past few days, since your odds are always on the higher side, I’ve accumulated a nice stash of magic crystals,” Vladimir said, shaking hands with Alec.

Alec couldn’t help but faintly smile at how carefree the vice-captain of the Battle Mage Academy was acting with him.

After a few seconds of exchanging pleasantries with Vlad, the captain, Vincent Whitefang, approached Alec, hands still deep in his pockets.

“Congrats on making it to the finals!

I was really rooting for you, but even I would never have imagined you would make it to the finals and in such a domineering way,” Vincent remarked in a calm tone, prompting Alec to scratch his head.

After their first encounter, Alec had practically branded Vincent as an aloof figure, but talking to him face-to-face now made him realize that he might actually just be the most amiable captain among the Great Eight Academies.

“Well, from the start, my team and I didn’t really have an objective, we just wanted to do our best to see if we could reach the finals and win the competition,” Alec mentioned.

Vincent stood frozen for a few seconds upon hearing Alec’s statement, if Alec had said that before the competition began, he and his entire team would have been laughed at.

But now, having completed most of their objectives, with only the final match remaining, Vincent began to take Alec seriously.

“Well, if that’s the case, then I look forward to seeing you in the finals, we can’t let our coordinators down; those two sisters would surely bet against themselves in this match,” Vincent said, and Alec nodded in agreement.

After all, it was no secret among both teams that their coordinators were twin sisters.

Just as they were enjoying the moment, a voice interrupted them.

“And who told you that you would be making it to the finals?

You should at least defeat me before making such claims.”

After hearing those words, everyone turned their attention to another entrance on the right side, where the distinctive uniform of Bloodline Academy appeared.

What really stood out, however, was the long spiky white hair, because they all knew there was only one person in the Bloodline Academy team with white hair and that was the captain.

“Dragov?” Vlad questioned in surprise, as none of them had expected him to intercept the War God Academy team at their tunnel entrance.

This was quite a shock for the War God Academy team, but it astonished the Battle Mage Academy even more; as it was the first time they had seen Dragov approach another team outside of an official battle.

“Yeah, I want to know what made you all from the Battle Mage Academy think you could enter the finals without defeating my team?” Dragov asked again, this time unleashing the full force of his aura.

As a violent, sharp intent swirled in the air, closing in on where Alec and Vincent stood.

Although Dragov spoke to Vincent and released his aura as if to pressure him, but it became clear when the attack was launched that he was targeting both Alec and Vincent.

Vincent countered by releasing his Peak Tier 5 aura, unwilling to be intimidated, as another wave of sharp intent surged alongside a Strong Qi, but Vincent’s aura only managed to repel half of Dragov’s, as Dragov had split the force of his aura, sending the second half toward Alec, who stood at the side unmoving with a blank look on his face.

Just before the aura could slam into him, an eerily bloodlust emanated from Alec as he unleashed his low Tier 5 Mage aura, supported by the Blood killing intent that sent shivers through the air.

To both the Battle Mage Academy and War God Academy teams watching the confrontation among the three captains, three distinctive images materialized behind the captains after they released their Aura’s.

Behind Dragov loomed the head of a massive dragon, its scales appearing almost transparent yet emanating a sharp intensity.

Meanwhile, an image of countless weapons hovered behind Vincent, each of the point towards Dragov.

Looking at the mental images behind the two captains, who had both released their auras, was understandable.

However, the imagery that materialized behind Alec sent chills down the spines of those present.

Bodies of slain demonic beasts were stacked upon one another, forming a hill, and the bloodlust emanating from Alec seemed to intensify.

His aura was a deep red, reminiscent of blood, the members of the Battle Mage Academy couldn’t help but wonder how many demonic beasts and lifeforms Alec must have slain to harbour such powerful bloodlust.

In the back of everyone’s mind, there was a silent prayer that something would intervene to break the rising tension of this clash of auras, which was generating a string of shockwaves that was beginning to affect them.

Just then, like an angel descending from heaven, Selene appeared.

“Now that is enough!” her voice rang out, directed at the three captains, though she had merely spoken, her aura surged forward, crashing against their auras like a tidal wave.

They all stepped back as if a raging storm had momentarily collided with them.
