Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 639: Chapter 170: Dean

’Giggle——’

A burst of silvery laughter faintly echoed in Gao Gong’s ears.

In the next moment, all the doors in the hallway opened with a ’bang’.

A powerful suction came from the doors, pulling in patients, doctors, nurses, and security alike. No matter how they struggled, it was all in vain.

As a large number of medical staff disappeared, the scene before Gao Gong began to blur, replaced by a giant maze.

On the walls of the maze, a girl in a white dress sat smiling, her bare feet dangling as she looked down at Gao Gong.

”Brother, it seems I’ve won.”

”What do you mean by that?” Gao Gong was surprised. ”If I remember correctly, we bet on whether there was such ’Advanced Information’ in Undead City, isn’t this the situation now?”

The girl didn’t answer, she simply jumped down. Gao Gong was stunned and quickly discarded the host brain to catch his sister, but unfortunately the touch of a mechanical body was always slightly inferior to real flesh and blood.

”Then I’ll take you to see it.”

The maze Gao Yuanyuan created herself naturally didn’t confuse her. After leading Gao Gong through several turns, they arrived directly at the maze’s exit, a large white door.

Gao Yuanyuan gently jumped down from Gao Gong’s arms, her eyes flashed with complex code, she grasped the doorknob and, in the next moment, the entire maze began to blur, turning into complex streams of light and neural currents. The terrifying pressure on the level of information made Gao Gong feel breathless, as it was the informational weight born from the fusion of all brain structures in the entire Undead City.

The next moment, as Gao Yuanyuan gently turned, the door was pushed open lightly, and the maze disappeared. Before the two, there lay an abandoned hospital.

”Is this the essence of the ’Advanced Information Phenomenon’? It really is a hospital, and indeed it’s night.”

Nighttime, hospital, a pure maiden.

Gao Gong felt his soul tremble.

”Brother, follow me.”

Gao Yuanyuan walked ahead. They passed through room after room, each filled with blood-stained surgical knives, white coats, disinfectant, and a large amount of ’surgical materials’.

’Hmm, this is indeed a bit heavy-handed.’

But thinking about what kind of place this is, Gao Gong was relieved.

He quietly observed his own sister.

Gao Yuanyuan appeared entirely at ease; this environment was no different from the place she had grown up in.

As the two walked, they saw neither nurse nor doctor; the hospital was utterly deserted, filled with an indescribable loneliness.

”Brother, I’ve already mastered part of the rules of this ’Advanced Information’.”

Gao Yuanyuan suddenly giggled, and when she turned around, she had transformed into a pink nurse with a swallowtail hat, holding a stack of blue folders in her arms.

”Brother, do I look good?”

Gao Gong’s eye twitched. Sis, such a blatant flag you just raised makes your brother shiver; what if you attract a long-haired nerdy dude with glasses?

Seeing Gao Gong silent, Gao Yuanyuan pouted her small nose and handed over the stack of folders she was holding.

Gao Gong opened them to find they were indeed lists of surgeries and patient information.

”As long as you write someone’s name on this list, you can ignore the distance and perform surgery on them,” Gao Yuanyuan said with a gentle smile, but her words sent a chill down Gao Gong’s spine.

”So brother, you have to behave, otherwise I’ll have to operate on you.”

Gao Gong grabbed her scissorhand, speaking earnestly, ”I’ll leave my appendix and foreskin in your care then.”

”Hmph!”

”But is this really such a bug? Being able to pull people in at any time, shouldn’t its influence not be confined to the Undead City?”

Gao Gong looked at Gao Yuanyuan again, finding her smirking like a sly fox, realizing he’d been fooled.

”So, only seriously ill patients can be pulled in?”

”Yeah, I’ve tried. Minor superficial injuries can’t be entered into the patient list, plus there’s a geographic restriction; it has to be within a certain range of the hospital.”

”No wonder.”

Gao Gong mumbled to himself. Infected with a max level ’Brain-Machine Virus’, it was undoubtedly a severe case he could be surgically removed for.

However, this range limited it significantly.

Seeing Gao Gong frown, Gao Yuanyuan quickly added, ”But don’t worry, brother, my ’power’ can directly bring patients in, which allows us to ignore the distance.”

Hearing this, Gao Gong’s brows smoothed out again. That’s right, using Yuanyuan’s power to create a massive maze of interconnected brains, leveraging the power of the maze to pull a person’s consciousness directly into the ’hospital’.

This essentially ignores the limitation of distance.

”Brother, if you look again, you’ll discover something even more interesting.”

Gao Gong swept through the patient list again. Besides names, it also included symptoms, surgical sites, and trial medications.

In fact, looking at it this way, this line of ’Ancient Information’ is quite neutral and orderly; at least it can actually perform surgeries to solve some conditions that are difficult to treat under normal circumstances.

”Huh, there are actually no high-risk surgeries listed here?”

Gao Gong was surprised to find that these surgeries appeared dangerous but essentially had no possibility of killing the patient.

However, the ’surgery’ he previously received had a ’lethal determination.’

”Brother, high-risk surgeries need the dean’s signature.”

Gao Yuanyuan led Gao Gong into an office, directly pushed open the door, and a figure sitting in the darkness had a cold expression, holding a pen ready to sign.

”It’s him!”

Earlier, when Gao Gong was in line to see the testicles, besides the Bionic Man and AI projection, there was also a gloomy-looking man sitting next to him.

On the surface, this man showed no signs of any problem.

And now, this man sat in the office, having changed into a white coat, with an even harsher and eccentric demeanor.

”So, the determination of surgery as ’lethal surgery’ is the power of the dean, and the criterion for determination is being seen by the dean?!”

Gao Gong looked at the little nurse beside him with a strange expression.

”So, the ’Advanced Information’ here isn’t one but two!”

”Hehe, brother you lost, what you said before was ’one line’ of Advanced Information,” Gao Yuanyuan emphasized.

”Hmm, it really seems that way,” Gao Gong touched his chin, ”Interesting, really interesting, these two lines of ’Advanced Information’ are actually complementary.”

He could roughly imagine how these two intertwined pieces of information were born.

The surge in computational power brought by the Electronic Brain Plan, the semi-virtual realm caused by the descent of Cyber Space, these changes made this planet extremely conducive for the birth of ’Advanced Information.’

But since this situation wasn’t cultivated over a long period but appeared suddenly, it led to the ’twins’ that should have split from the placenta growing without separation, while the ’information umbilical cord’ evolving just as quickly, wrapped tightly around them, making separation impossible.

This situation is rare even in the Information Realm, only the Cyber Test Field, which undergoes rapid social structural changes, can breed such a ’freak.’

As the two of them communicated, the ’dean’ finally raised his head, stared directly at Gao Gong, his eyes slowly bending into an almost smiling expression with a hint of indescribable perverseness.

Then, he unhesitatingly removed the pen cap and signed Gao Gong’s name on a surgical form.

This thing could kill without the prerequisite of being a ’critical patient’?

Gao Yuanyuan snorted coldly and directly stood in front of Gao Gong.

In the next moment, the sound of footsteps simultaneously filled the air, and two groups of doctors and nurses, pushing surgical beds, blocked the entrance; as both groups appeared and jostled, no one could enter smoothly.

The cold sensation surrounding Gao Gong’s body slowly dissipated, and he watched the scene with considerable interest.

”The collision of two surgical rules resulted in a new bug?”

”Hehe, brother, I’m clever, right?”

Gao Yuanyuan seemed like a child waiting to be praised, and no one would expect her to be a super strong figure on the information side.

”Now, it’s up to you.”

Gao Yuanyuan closed her eyes, and in the ’dean’s’ view, a massive maze reappeared; hearing the familiar footsteps behind him, the ’dean’s’ expression changed drastically as he accelerated his attempt to escape, but no matter how he tried, he couldn’t leave the maze, with the footsteps growing closer. Eventually, he saw a door, overtaken with joy, he pushed it open, facing a room filled with the vengeful eyes of patients.

The dead had come for him!

”Alright, he’s crashed.”

When Gao Yuanyuan opened her eyes again, the ’dean’ had vanished, and there were more ’surgical components’ in various operating rooms.

”Kill him once, then reconstruct him, and you can completely control him. But his face is too ugly, I’ll replace it.” Gao Yuanyuan rolled her eyes, suddenly touched Gao Gong, and he immediately felt like he lost a bit of his pheromones, a very ominous feeling creeping over him.

The next moment, the ’dean’ reappeared, sat right down on the chair, hands folded, with a perverse look, reflecting a ray of white light on his glasses.

The little nurse stood beside him, looking mysteriously at Gao Gong with a playful smile.

As he gazed upon that familiar handsome face, Gao Gong’s eye twitched fiercely.

The ’dean’ was actually himself!
