Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 629: Chapter 160: Number 13

In ”Cyber Realm”

Professional knowledge is basic science

Blueprints are applied technology

As for the professional knowledge chain, it encompasses the foundational disciplines of an entire system.

For instance, Earth’s seven foundational disciplines: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, Earth Sciences, Logic—all the achievements of civilization since the three industrial revolutions are built upon these foundations.

Similarly, the Mechanical Split Star has its equivalents, and even more.

Earth has one civilization system; it has three.

Brain Domain Civilization, Artificial Data Space, Transformer Civilization

Mechanical Brain Technology belongs to the Brain Domain Civilization and is one of six ”professional knowledge chains.”

Besides it, there are five others: Virtual Personality, Life Technology, Neuro-Editing Technology, Electronic Life Chip, Electronic Doctrine (Turing Mechanism).

Among them, except for ”Electronic Doctrine,” Gao Gong has already gathered the other five.

Previously, Gao Gong always wondered why to establish three civilization technology systems on a small planet; wasn’t this pointless and a sign of boredom?

After all, resources are limited, and the more civilizations, the harder it is to upgrade.

But now, he vaguely understands the purpose of such actions by that advanced civilization.

Civilization technologies can actually promote each other in many ways.

For instance, the ”Electronic Brain Plan” extends from ”Mechanical Brain Technology” as a ”super application.”

And the benefits of this ”application” fall into the Cyber Space.

Cyber Space is also a large-scale information project within the civilization system of Artificial Data Space.

It’s based on several ”professional knowledge chains” and gives birth to another ”super application.”

The ”super applications” of two different civilizations mutually promote each other, very intricately.

Moreover, after obtaining the ”Mechanical Brain Technology,” Gao Gong increasingly understands what cyber space evolution requires, or rather, which technological evolution can better enhance computational power.

This is an elusive feeling, hovering between superstition and science.

If Gao Gong wants to gain the greatest benefits in this corporate war, he needs such enlightenment.

Furthermore, Gao Gong’s thoughts extend further, and he feels he has touched upon the truth of this ”Mechanical Star Test Field.”

The targets of each Cyber Test Field differ; some for social transformation, others for developing a super technology.

On Mechanical Split Star, its target, no doubt, is the 13 types of Destruction Forms.

Or to be even more precise, it’s the ”Cosmic Relic” formed by the combination of these thirteen Destruction Forms.

The conditions for the birth of each Destruction Form vary, some even require different civilizations’ technology trees to cooperate before they can be nurtured into existence.

For example, the three Destruction Forms nurtured by three Bionic Ancestors not only require Bionic Technology but also support from other technologies.

Similar to the ”Nanomanipulation” of Bionic A, aside from Bionic Technology from the Transformer Civilization, he also needs the Synthetic Gene Chain from the same civilization; only with both can he control ”nano.”

As for Sister Rose, she also inherited the power of the Bionic Ancestor, possessing endless ”metabolism,” but this ability requires Life Technology from the Brain Domain Civilization besides Bionic Technology, because a mere bionic man cannot fully count as life.

Gao Gong also thought of Gox who inherited the ”Mutant Fusion” from No.9 Destruction.

She needs not a few ”basic technologies.”

She requires ”Virtual Personality,” which comes from Brain Domain Civilization.

She also needs ”Abnormal Program,” which originates from Artificial Data Space.

Regarding Gao Gong’s ”Purple Energy Strings,” it’s a peculiar domain energy fusion, and no matter which civilization or knowledge chain, if it’s related to creation, it generally ties to ”energy.”

”Mechanical Life,” ”Synthetic Gene Chain,” ”Bionic Technology,” ”Reproduction Technology,” ”Life Technology”...

Each seemingly unrelated.

But to say there’s no relation at all, there seems to be a hint of connection.

Gao Gong even suspects that long before this planet reached the ”Life Soup” stage, that high-level civilization began transforming and tuning this planet, precisely for the Cyber Test Field that’s tens of thousands of years later.

The design of the No. 5 Destruction Form might just be at that time.

The reason for this speculation is because ”Purple Energy Strings” is the only ability applicable solely to this planet.

Once leaving this planet, the system panel’s ”Purple Energy Strings” will turn gray.

This at least indicates a close connection with the planet’s magnetic field, life force field, and planet will, and once connected to the planet, the time span is definitely not short.

Tens of thousands of years are not impossible.

From a human perspective, it’s extremely exaggerated.

But in the eyes of an ancient civilization, tens of thousands of years are not that long.

Some super ancient civilizations have even gone through the stage of the cosmic big bang.

Swap perspectives, if Gao Gong were that ancient civilization needing to spend tens of thousands of years cultivating a ”cosmic relic.”

Then he would certainly do it!

This business is so profitable!!

A civilization possessing a cosmic relic has limitless potential for ascension.

Gao Gong looked up, continuing to lie motionless in the chair, fingers absentmindedly twirling the ”electrode pieces,” talking to himself.

”So, were the previous 16 corporate wars all technological experiments for cultivating Destruction Forms?”

”And liberating computational power was for the birth of a new generation Destruction Form?”

As far as Gao Gong knows.

His ”Purple Energy Strings” is No. 5.

Bionic A is No. 10.

Sister Rose is No. 11.

Simultaneously, Bionic A used ”Nanomanipulation” to control No. 8 and No. 12 after using ”Matrix Information” to trap the opponent, and from the opponent’s dissipated brainwaves, he extracted this information.

This indicates No. 12 has already been born.

After 12 comes No. 13.

And there are only 13 types of Destruction Forms, a number Gao Gong understood immediately after merging with ”Purple Energy Strings.”

Only 13, not more, as the system panel also states.

So, will this corporate war complete the final piece of the ”Mysterious Cosmic Relic?”

”Excuse me,” the Host Brain cautiously knocked on the door.

Since the ”new boss” emerged from the ”old boss’s” head, he’s been lying motionless, known to have received information on ”Area 0 Brain,” researching it; unknown to others, might think he entered Wise Man’s Time.

”What’s the matter?” Gao Gong asked without raising his head.

”When you hadn’t destroyed—cough, saved our Neural Group previously to counteract the Biochemical Brain Machine, Dou contacted many brain-machine transformation dealers taking the mechanical route, and now they’ve all gone online, should you greet them?”

”No need, I’m not acquainted with them,” Gao Gong replied lazily.

”Uh——”

”Wait,” Gao Gong suddenly sat up with a surprised gleam, thoughtfully rubbing his chin, eyes beaming: ”It might not be without benefits, facing such terrifying biochemical transformation, shouldn’t these people contribute funds to support us against Vinos Life Safety Group?”

...

The Electronic Brain Plan unfolded fervently, reality and virtual gradually began blending, with zones where people walking were unpredictably led into digital mazes and vanished completely; others had their consciousness randomly deleted, directly becoming imbeciles, or viruses entered reality, masquerading as humans, causing havoc.

The evolution of intelligent species invariably accompanies chaos and loss of control.

The entire planet’s transformation zone seemed to have become a computer with disorderly settings—system disorder, disk disorder, desktop disorder.

Dozens of ”brain-machine systems” compete for the 10 billion people’s brain hardware, the skulls directly blown apart.

During this process, some people’s brain fragments began self-operating under mysterious influences, forming new, rudimentary operating systems, ensuring the fundamental operation, application, and running of the ”brain-machine.”

But few enterprises notice this as their warfare is over capturing as much ”market share” as possible, leaving operational system issues for later.

Yet not everyone lacks awareness of this.

”Is 13 finally born?”

An ancient voice echoed from the seabed beneath a certain ocean.
