Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 609: Chapter 140: Preparations Before the Battle

In cosmic civilizations, leveling up by fighting monsters is a very niche path, only suitable for some Carbon-Based Civilizations... and the 4th Celestial Calamity.

Most take the technology route.

As long as you have enough tech points, one’s personal strength can elevate from Tier 1 to Tier 2, Tier 3, Tier 4, and even to higher levels with no problem at all.

Just like when Gao Gong was at Tier 1, he could transform Director Du into an ’industrial AI’, which is a typical tech upgrade method.

And now, what Gao Gong is doing is to have Du Zhaodi absorb the starship AI, break through the restrictions of Tier 2, and transform into a Tier 3 Super Industrial Intelligence.

Usually... this is impossible.

After all, although the technology route can boost across tiers, it requires enough branches and splits in the technology tree, needing the essence of an entire technology system.

And a starship just so happens to meet this requirement, it itself is the industrial crown of a Level 3 Civilization.

Not every Level 3 civilization can ’rage-ship’.

Moreover, Mechanical Split Star is merely a testing field for Level 2 Civilization.

Let’s just say, thanks to Cybertron for the ’big plane’ sent over.

...

A dozen or so tentacles rose from Gao Gong’s back, pinpointing like acupuncture at various parts of Du Zhaodi’s body, the tips of the tentacles wrapped in near-materialized top-level radiation energy.

For a starship, mechanical energy is measured in ’billion’ units.

And absorbing such vast mechanical energy, Director Du’s body will undergo tremendous stress.

And this is the moment for the male technician to take action.

[Radiation Massage]: Massage, as the ultimate skill of a technician, under your professional skill assistance, becomes a way to stimulate the potential of an organism, after all, radiation itself is mutation.

Numerous complex mutation patterns appeared on Du Zhaodi’s hands and feet, providing a temporary enhancement to her circulatory system, respiratory system, endocrine system, and neural system.

This enhancement greatly alleviated the stress of transformation.

Quickly, the starship stopped trembling, a large amount of ’dye’ returned to the girls’ bodies, indicating that repression from the ’Liquid Weapons Printer’ was unnecessary, this ’Great Curved Saber’ has initially been controlled.

And by absorbing a ’small mechanical system’ with mechanical energy measured in billions, Du Zhaodi naturally broke through Tier 2.

And now comes the hardest part.

Every starship has its own ’control center’, the ’virtual defenses’ of such Tier 3 creations, while not matching the planet host, are still a grade.

Data streams flashed in Gao Gong’s eyes as he activated the ’Virtual Horizon’.

The next moment, Du Zhaodi vanished, and the Great Curved Saber vanished too.

Amidst the vast cloud of digital gibberish, a massive mechanical asteroid sat atop a cloud layer, hundreds of mechanical loops encircled the planet, stretching up to 2000 km, a human standing before it would be as insignificant as a grain in the sea, utterly tiny.

This giant object engenders fear at first glance, let alone deciphering it.

’Hmm, the ’orbital password lock’ atop ’planet digital cloud’ is a bit of a headache.’

Being a veteran of the Virtual Realm, Gao Gong naturally recognized the nature of this ’virtual firewall’ at a glance; it wasn’t complex, but it required a proficient hacker to slowly grind through it, extremely time-consuming.

’Hmm, luckily I’ve prepared in advance.’

Gao Gong gently spun his left hand, the ’Civilized Stick’ materialized, with a light tap, an http-starting hyperlink protocol extended.

Obvious data transmission fluctuations emerged in Cyber Space.

In the next moment, a gigantic fiery bird, thousands of meters large, appeared, spreading its beak, revealing the tooth-like virus software known as ’Cloud Disk Killer’, which chomped down on one of the mechanical tracks. Its wings spread outwards, fiery virtual flames madly extended to the sides, its power so intense it seemed capable of burning through the heavens and earth.

Besides the ’Flame Bird’ hacker illusion, a dozen or so powerful digital illusions emerged, although not matching a Level 60 Digital Life, they were formidable: data streams, artificial intelligence programs, data net fluctuations and grids, system vulnerabilities, Trojan invasions, subconscious black mirrors... all sorts of bizarre yet formidable hacker methods commenced their attack on the ’Great Curved Saber’s’ host defense system.

And these digital illusions incessantly sourced from the hyperlink protocol, indicating that at least hundreds of Cyber Hackers were simultaneously invading the starship system.

”Leave it to everyone.”

Gao Gong smiled slightly, exiting the horizon.

In reality, as the last piece of the artificial skull closed, intense heat slowly emanated from Director Du’s body, so strong that even the surrounding space began to distort. At the same time, the ’Subspace Engine’ of the Great Curved Saber emitted its signature sound, different from the ’roar’ of gas engines, or the silent start of electric cars, this type of starship engine’s starting sound is similar to the ’static electricity’ sound when taking off a sweater in winter, the sound of changing space parameters.

Through the ’panel’, Gao Gong could see Director Du’s three dimensions, no, five attributes were rising one point per minute.

This was due to the synergy of uniting with the starship, the subspace engine actively enhancing her physical body.

”Tsk tsk, free Tier 3 technology transformation, truly enviable.”

Although he spoke this way, Gao Gong’s tone held little envy, for the simple reason that this tech path is one he walked in his past life, this time he chose something with greater potential for development and far more challenging.

”Director Du probably won’t wake up anytime soon.”

”But Mr. Gao, without Sister Du, the corporate war—” Secretary Bean Sprouts exclaimed.

”No worries, even if the female president isn’t here, her male secretary is, just fighting small scuffles in a war will suffice.”

Gao Gong strode forward, Bean Sprouts barely keeping up, the pair descended the starship’s stairs directly to the headquarters meeting room of Du Gao Technology, a series of mechanical gates opened, and as the last door opened, dozens of high-ranking officials from Du Gao Technology turned to look at Gao Gong simultaneously, expressions ranging from surprise, to doubt, to a smile.

Among them, only a small portion knew Gao Gong, while the vast majority were confidants developed by Director Du over the past year or so.

”Why is it you, where’s Sister Du?” Little Woman curiously asked, she didn’t mind Gao Gong’s presence.

Gao Gong didn’t answer, instead he surveyed her with a quick glance, curling his lip, ”Such an advanced lady suit on you looks like children’s clothing, a waste.”

”You pervert!!!”

Gao Gong pressed down on her head with one hand before seating himself in Director Du’s president’s chair, looking around with a smile:

”Some of you know me, some don’t, but no matter if you do or not, it doesn’t matter anymore. What does matter is, I’m taking temporary command in this corporate war.”

Gao Gong turned his head towards the highly respected legal department head, the long-legged black stockings beauty Qin Chunzi.

Qin Chunzi, being an old hand, showed no sign of emotion to Gao Gong’s ’accepting an inherited chairmanship’, calmly tapping the table, the next moment, electronic radiance lit up, a holographic projection of a planet appeared, the entire projection divided into 30 zones, marked with different colors, different spheres of influence.

With a drag of a finger, the projection enlarged, a key-marked region lit up——

”Southern Hemisphere Zone 14, ’Pharmaceutical Zone’, our battleground drawn by lots, with six mechanical cities, critical human drug trial zones of the Holy Brain Group, Balance Biological Group, Vinos Life Safety Group, and Johnson Group, four biological giants. Their influences are intertwined, leaving no doubt that conducting war experiments here will face interference from these four forces.”

”And worse luck still, drawn together with us, aside from a newly established company focusing on ’Neuro-Editing Technology’, there is the most dangerous biological giant, Vinos Life Safety Group.”

”Six mechanical cities, forty million ’Artificial Data’, must first achieve a 50% transformation rate to stand out in corporate war, earning a qualification for advanced warfare.

Artificial Data Network War

Mechanical Warfare in reality

And inevitably, Biological War, Virus Invasion.

To break through in all three directions to proceed to the next stage selection match.

Our opponents are strong, so as per our initial plan, deploying a large quantity of mechanical troops and corporate mercenaries to prevent biological virus invasion and collaborating with that emerging enterprise...”

Gao Gong raises his hand, interrupting.

”Was this plan discussed with Director Du?”

Qin Chunzi frowned slightly and said:

”It was so.”

”Does the plan include me?”

”President Du didn’t say, but undoubtedly, you possess the freedom to act.”

”In that case, let’s tweak the plan a bit.”
