Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 635: Chapter 166: Advanced Information

Data is flowing, emitting silvery laughter. Streams of pure white data circle around Gao Gong and then converge at the center, outlining the image of a girl in a white dress. Her face is fair, her features are delicate, and she exudes an endearing neighborly charm.

But only Gao Gong can see that the data fluctuations emanating from her are no less than those of the Sensory Queen or the Prosthetic Giant, these new emerging big data conceptual bodies.

This is one of the strongest cards in the Electronic Brain Plan, Gao Yuanyuan.

She is also the information interchange hub for all ’Virtual Helmets’.

Gao Yuanyuan blinked her big eyes and floated to Gao Gong’s side, intimately holding onto his arm. With a gentle wave of her fair hand, the surrounding data receded like a tide, replaced by an environment as beautiful as a fairytale forest.

Vines hang in the forest, birds chirp, flowers bloom, and a rainbow arches high.

”I clearly see what you’ve been up to outside, brother.”

A white unicorn came running over, affectionately nuzzling Gao Yuanyuan’s palm, making her giggle, though her tone carried an inexplicable hint.

Is the little girl complaining that I haven’t spent enough time with her?

Upon reflection, it’s been almost half a year since we’ve seen each other after Nightless City.

”Ahem, well, your brother is working hard for the future of the Gao Family,” Gao said cheekily.

The first rule of being a scumbag: always elevate personal actions to the level of collective interests.

”Once I bring you the results of the Electronic Brain Plan, you’ll truly be the Master of the Super Brain.”

The Master of the Super Brain is the development path Gao Gong chose for Gao Yuanyuan, a super intelligent brain with powerful computational power, even exceeding the ’Planet Computer’ at the same level.

”Of course, we’re family, so big brother will definitely protect little sister, right?” Gao Yuanyuan continued to smile sweetly, even pulling closer, her young age couldn’t hide her growth, though her tone still had that hint of something.

As a seasoned pro, Gao Gong understood in a flash. Du Gao Technology is Director Du’s, and Du Zhaodi’s territory that she maintains herself. While Gao Yuanyuan working here isn’t bullied, she might feel like she’s facing a ’helping brother-in-law with the start-up, while getting pocket money for summer work’, which isn’t pleasant.

Second rule of being a scumbag: align unconditionally and without limits with any female nearby.

”That’s right,” Gao Gong said earnestly. ”After the Corporate War, I’m planning to split ’Virtual Realm’ from Du Gao Technology. Du Gao will still handle the arms, but you’ll be in charge of the computational power of the Virtual Space.”

”Me?” Gao Yuanyuan’s little mouth opened slightly. ”By myself? I can’t do it, brother.”

”Who says you can’t? I’ll beat them up the first chance I get,” said Gao Gong, earnestly. ”It’s okay if it’s not perfect; I’ve got your back.”

Gao Yuanyuan pouted and said, ”Alright, I’ll give it a try then.”

”Thank you for your hard work.”

Gao Gong lovingly patted her small head, and they shared a smile, dissolving any lingering tension.

”Brother, did you come to me this time wanting me to deal with ’Vinos Life Safety Group’?”

Gao Yuanyuan clenched her white little fists and huffed, ”I’m really strong now, brother. Don’t forget, I am the ’Transmission Maiden’ created by the Cloud Nobility, specifically for this purpose.”

Gao Gong certainly hasn’t forgotten.

The girl herself was nurtured from a young age by the Cloud Nobility as a secret weapon to open backdoors everywhere in the ’Electronic Brain Plan.’

Besides this lone successful case, the Welfare Institute also has many failed experiments, children whose consciousness has faded away.

The fact that Gao Yuanyuan can openly discuss this indicates the dark past is truly behind her.

Gao Gong smiled, holding his sister’s small hand, sitting on a large rock by the river, the water murmuring with little fish lazily swimming.

”Yes, and no.”

”Hmm?”

”It does involve ’Biochemical Brain Machine,’ but it’s not about taking them down; it’s about investigating a place called Undead City.

I suspect there are phenomena of information residue there, which might suppress ’Biochemical Brain Machine’ and could be very beneficial for you.”

”Information residue, huh,” Gao Yuanyuan repeated, looking eager to give it a shot.

She’s heard Gao Gong mention something like this before,

Everything in the universe is constructed of information. Virtual worlds, Cyber Space, Consciousness—all are unique applications of information.

But this information categorizes into different levels.

Basic programming code, digital symbols, and models are elementary information, fully governed by the Physical Laws, without any autonomy.

Sensory signals, consciousness signals, Cyber Space belong to intermediate information; they interact with and influence reality, such as sensory signals influenced by human body chemicals that can conversely directly stimulate the body, interfering with consciousness.

One of the most potent applications of intermediate information is blending reality and virtual spaces, like the Cyber Space following the Electronic Brain Plan.

Above intermediate information is another tier of advanced information.

This class of information is also known as reality information because it doesn’t just remain uninfluenced by reality but instead can directly affect reality.

Gao Gong once introduced these types of carriers for such information: dimensions, superstring space, advanced information star systems, and some mythological worlds, Heaven, Hell, Divine Kingdom, Divine System.

Of course, such existences rarely arise on most planets; the conditions for their birth are too stringent.

Yet, rarely does an entire advanced information world form, and within a normal planet, one or two instances might emerge by chance in certain places.

Gao Yuanyuan thought about it and said:

”Brother, could it be that the ’Electronic Brain Plan’ led to a massive concentration of sensory signals in reality, and the buildup of biological data resulted in this ’advanced information’?”

Gao Gong replied, gratified, ”For you to think of this means you’ve really been putting in the work lately.”

”If this piece of ’advanced information’ could be integrated into your superbrain, in some sense, you could influence reality from the virtual level as well.”

Speaking of which, Gao Gong suddenly thought of the ’Memory Mother,’ this information boss at least at level 120, which is also a kind of advanced information aggregation.

But it was both its strength and downfall.

The powerful and complex cosmic information also affected its divine wisdom, leading it to act on instinct, making its intelligence far outmatched by its power.

”Since you said so, brother, I’ll go have a look. But brother, it might not be what you imagined.”

”At least a 50% chance, since at this time, other existences, especially those that can interfere with ’virus’ existences, have a low probability of emerging.”

”Then if you lose, brother, you must agree to one of my requests,” Gao Yuanyuan’s eyes sparkled as she said.

”Alright.”

...

When Gao Gong opened his eyes again, he saw the Host Brain with crossed arms, watching the replay of Gao Gong’s previous battle on its facial display screen, with ’special effects’ looking quite spectacular.

”Boss, you’re awake, just let me finish this episode; it’ll be quick,” the Host Brain seemed engrossed like watching a movie.

Gao Gong glanced at him speechless, suddenly curious, asking, ”I’ve heard you say you’ve researched ’Brain Ecology’ and modified your brain into a disk, so does your experience resemble prosthetic implantation, a bionic man, or AI?”

”Strictly speaking, it’s more akin to prosthetic implantation. Other than my head, the feel of my body hasn’t changed much from before.”

”Interesting. Does your ’head’ need recharging?”

”No, the bioelectric current generated by the human body is enough for me to power up each day, and my ’head’ only slows down during high-level operations.”

”If it does slow down, I connect to other data processing systems to relieve brain computation pressure.”

”And if it really slows down, I’ll connect to other data processing systems to ease the brain processing load.”

”And when it really lags, I’ll connect to other data computation systems to relieve the brain’s computation pressure.”

”Once the Corporate War is over, I’m planning to have you lead a project. Would you consider taking it on?”

”What project?”

”Perception system for pure mechanical life.”
