Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 593: Chapter 124: Advanced Plastic

From the recent network keyboard battle to the real-life confrontation, it seemed long, but actually, it was only three seconds.

After the clash, Gao Gong crossed his legs and watched the opponent with interest, while on Chernobyl’s complicated holographic projection, a large amount of mosaic emerged, resembling some sort of eczema.

A sliver of ’High-tier Information Mist’, even if just a sliver, is part of the Cosmic Monster, the Memory Mother.

Although it couldn’t instantly defeat the opponent, there was no doubt that Chernobyl needed to use a lot of computational power to suppress it, and the further it went, the harder it was to suppress.

The victory was decided!

”Oh, it seems we’re almost there,” Gao Gong glanced out the window, and the previously blurred scenery had become clear, indicating that the train had slowed from the second cosmic speed to the first cosmic speed, and a huge, suspended metal ring appeared at the front of the train.

The interstellar train passed through the ’Zero-Gravity Star Orbit Magnetic Ring’, and the sensors inside the magnetic ring connected with the train, birthing a large amount of current from the void.

The metal ring had a diameter of about 10 km, though not as large as civilization-level architecture, it wasn’t small either. Yet against the backdrop of the cosmic stars, it still appeared as a ’drop in the ocean’. Only when the train passed through did one marvel at its size, much larger than imagined, and when passing through the ring, it placed them in a state of ’high-grade controllable magnetic field’, feeling as if layers of thick cotton were enveloping the body from inside out, as if suddenly plunging from a vacuum into water.

Passing through the metal magnetic ring, a silvery white metal satellite appeared in Gao Gong’s sight through the window. As the train decelerated, the satellite slowly opened a small hole, like a pinhole in an egg.

And as the interstellar train entered, the whole satellite changed shape, like a giant mechanical face.

”The satellite has been militarized.”

Gao Gong muttered to himself, despite having heard from Director Du, seeing it in person offered only one impression, the Mother City is truly extravagant.

Arming a satellite requires resources and money beyond measure, typically only a capital planet of a Level 3 Civilization would choose to fully arm satellites to safeguard its core ruling area.

Moreover, upon entering Cybertron, Gao Gong immediately felt a hair-raising sensation, a familiar feeling akin to being targeted by civilization weapons before.

There was no doubt that Cybertron also stocked civilization weapons, and very likely not just one kind.

The train arrived at the station, and the door opened. There were no welcoming personnel, but rather a feeling as if being pressed into a prison. Tall, dense mechanical architectures loomed, with High-tier Mechanical Life occasionally flying into certain buildings to replace parts and maintain their sparks, while above, a dense array of mechanical octopus army dominated the sky.

”This gloomy, militarized feeling is very uncomfortable,” Pupil complained, which was rare.

”This is Cybertron’s mechanical aesthetics, beautiful isn’t it,” Chapai shrugged.

”So, what do we do next?” Gao Gong asked.

”According to Cybertron’s consistent style, there won’t be any reception or rest; we’ll likely head directly to the planet’s root server for network protection work,” interrupted the half-mechanical, half-electronic woman, model T-X.

Gao Gong glanced at her, indeed, once a thorn was dealt with, the others became obedient; who says AI doesn’t bully the weak.

Sure enough, without a welcoming or greeting, the station began to transform automatically, and an aerial bus transformed and took shape. This group exchanged looks, Chapai stretched lazily and led the way inside.

Meanwhile, as the group was led into the server, a uniquely modeled electronic eye in the sky was watching them unblinkingly.

In the depths of the planet, within the Spark Hall, a group of Spark Elders watched them either coldly or disdainfully.

”Another group of roaches, carbon-based species should never set foot on our sacred land!”

”Hah, those metal trash on the surface, are they our kind?”

”Only General Cybertron is the strongest Planet Host!”

”Perhaps, you should fight, whoever wins, we listen to them.”

Basically, just from listening to the tone, one could deduce the factions of these mechanical lives. The Decepticons looked down on everything outside their faction, the Split Faction were loyal to Cybertron, and the Power Faction believed in mechanical supremacy to govern all.

Moreover, all the Spark Elders appeared not in mechanical form, but in flaming human form, with rampant energy ravaging all.

In fact, Cybertronian Machines, in full, should be ’Half-Energy Mechanical Life’, different from the mechanical system’s ’assembled goods’. Their life’s source is the energy spark.

Strictly speaking, they aren’t purely mechanical, and as is well known, second-tier entities are most fervently ’conversion zealots’, except the Autobots, the Decepticons, Split Faction, and Power Faction are staunch speciesists.

So, virtually every time the underlying protocol changed, the Autobots presided over it.

Among them, a noticeably female spark stared at someone on the screen and suddenly exclaimed ”Oh”.

”What’s the matter, Venus,” one of the Power Faction elites asked with concern. Cybertronian Machines indeed have gender, and being one of the Six Celestial of the Power Faction, as well as the renowned mechanical beauty of Cybertron, Venus undoubtedly had numerous admirers, including this one.

Venus didn’t respond, but kept her eyes fixed on a towering figure in the picture, speaking to herself.

”It’s actually him!”

”That carbon-based male, do you know him?” the Power Faction elite asked with apparent jealousy.

”No, never met, but—”

Venus indeed had never met Gao Gong. When she was stationed at the Earth’s core, she had quite a few troublesome matters, among which the most disgusting was the ”Mas Sharpness” virus experiment that infected many of her descendants.

Later, she personally took action to try to solve the virus creator, but first got entangled with a peculiar civilization weapon, and then, instead of confronting the real culprit, ended up in a battle with another enemy, Bionic A. If the opponent hadn’t been in poor condition, she might not have been a match.

She’s no fool; after the battle ended, she immediately began investigating the ’virus origin’. Following the ”Metal Heart” plan of Mas Sharpness, she traced it back to someone.

And that person was Gao Gong, the one in the image.

”Interesting.”

”Hmm?”

In the image, Gao Gong suddenly lifted his head and glanced at the sky. Just a moment ago, he felt as if a tangible gaze had locked onto him.

”What’s wrong?” Pupil asked.

”Nothing, just thinking, Cybertron is really unfriendly to carbon-based species.”

At this moment, our group, as the emissaries of the fortress, was undergoing a very special body search inspection.

The inspection itself was nothing much; temporarily storing weapons was also barely acceptable, but the most exaggerated part was to enter Cybertron’s planet host, one had to first do one thing: remove the metal elements from their body.

According to the guard, this was to prevent weapons from being hidden inside the body.

It felt awkwardly like taking an entrance exam for a bureaucratic position.

Undoubtedly, this caused widespread anger. People from the Deep Net are not afraid of Cybertron, and the situation escalated quickly from verbal disputes to a full-blown confrontation.

And they finally saw Cybertron’s mechanical lifeforms; no less than a hundred ”Transformers” descended from the sky, each as huge as a skyscraper, glaring at this group of people as if ready to kill them at any moment.

Cybertron’s arrogance was indeed better seen than heard, and seeing it was more overwhelming than hearing it.

Standing at the back, eating his fill, Gao Gong quietly poked Chapai and curiously asked, ”Did this happen when you came before?”

”No,” Chapai shook his head and frowned, ”Before, although Cybertron was also unapproachable, there was at least a basic respect, but this time, something seems off.”

More than off, they’re treating us like prisoners.

”Looks like I have to step in,” seeing that both sides were about to explode, Gao Gong knew it was time for him to act.

At the forefront, arguing with a Decepticon mech from Cybertron was a ”Half-Mechanical Lifeform”, known as the Terminator. He was a super modified human employed by the Deep Net and was said to have once been a globally recognized super mercenary, incredibly powerful. With Gao Gong’s keen eyes, he noticed that at least three Tier 3 weapons were implanted in him.

Tier 3 weapons, Gao Gong himself only had one.

If this thing exploded, that would be profitable beyond measure.

Of course, outwardly, Gao Gong remained calm and simply asked, ”What’s up?”

”Representative, these metal shells are too much! They want me to remove all my modification devices!” The Terminator gritted his teeth, his elite electronic eye flashing with anger, causing a slight stir among the surrounding ”Transformers” as their detection systems all displayed locking warnings.

Glancing at the electromagnetic gun as wide as a cannon barrel on the other’s back, Gao Gong chuckled and patted him on the shoulder, ”It’s fine, it’s just an inspection, we’ll comply.”

”Representative—” The Terminator was about to say something more but suddenly felt a nudge in his heart, and instead of speaking further, obediently walked to the detection instrument.

Soon, the detection result came out: the metal content in his body was—0.

The surrounding ”Transformers” began to stir.

The reason being, a modified human with a transformation rate of over 80%, with a metal element content of 0!?

Looking at the complicated mechanical plugins on him, these ”Transformers” had a million complaints.

The machine’s broken?

A leading Decepticon mech checked multiple times before finally confirming that the machine wasn’t broken.

However, when one by one the representatives from the Deep Net entered the testing equipment, and all showed zero metal detection, it was clear that someone had meddled with the system.

All the mechanical beings directed their attention towards Gao Gong.

”Why are you looking at me? I’m just a good citizen.” Gao Gong said with an innocent expression.

”What did you do?” A Decepticon mech strode forward, pointing at the mechanical plugins of the visiting group, ”Are you telling me they aren’t metal?!”

”Isn’t it possible they’re advanced plastic?” Gao Gong rubbed his chin and seriously questioned in return.
