Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 562: Chapter 95: Prosthetic Body Activation Program

Near a pre-World War II city, aboard a flying yacht, inside a soldier deployment chamber—

”Hey hey hey, Boss Baozi, I’ve reached the location you mentioned. Reporting coordinates, East Zone 3, coordinate position 1141·3134·9242.”

”Very good, I’m initiating the airdrop.”

”Wait, I haven’t finished my churro.”

Before he finished speaking, there was a ’whoosh’ sound. The controller’s display showed the hatch button activating, and four ’airdrop chambers’ were directly emptied. The next moment, from the belly of the nuclear-powered yacht, four fridge-like deployment chambers were ejected, shooting through the white clouds, breaking the sound barrier, and plummeting rapidly towards the ground.

”Do a good job, these days, ancient ruins are hard to find, I spent a fortune to get the coordinates of this ’Atomic City.’”

”Baozi, you idiot!!!”

When the ’airdrop chamber’ was about 3km from the ground, the emergency program was automatically triggered. Numerous vents flipped open on the surface of the airdrop chamber, beginning to spray steam as the parachute deployed. Under the combined effect of both, it started flying towards the designated location.

However, only three of the airdrop chambers were working, with one remaining. It continued plunging into the sea at a missile launch, full throttle pace.

On the communications channel—

”Uh uh uh?”

”What the hell, did the fridge cool down?”

”Didn’t it trigger the landing program?”

”Baozi, what’s going on?”

”It can’t be. My airdrop chamber is exclusively used by the special forces of a large military group. The failure rate is 0.0041%, it’s impossible for an issue to arise.”

Curious, Baozi said, ”Could it be that when the hacker hacked the program back then, it wasn’t done thoroughly?”

”Damn, I thought it was the genuine article, turns out Baozi, you bought a pirated version!”

”Nonsense, the authentic ones are so expensive. You’re only losing a life, but I’m losing money!”

”Ugh, Baozi, you capitalist, I’ll hang you sooner or later!”

”Hang me? Believe it or not, I’ll hit the self-destruct button on the ’airdrop chamber’ right now.”

”Damn, this thing can actually self-destruct!”

Without the slightest awareness of employer and employee, both sides started cursing each other out until the airdrop chamber landed safely, the hatch opened, and this graceful exchange of words finally ended.

With a ’whoosh’, as the sound of a gas pump echoed, the two doors lifted slowly. Two fully armed prosthetic warriors stood face to face, and I’m a Big Muscle Dominator got sprayed with some unknown white liquid.

”Is it that thrilling?” Justice’s Security Manager exclaimed, decisively keeping a safe distance.

”Thrilling my ass! It’s the soy milk I just drank,” I’m a Big Muscle Dominator furiously wiped his face and conveniently tossed away the half-eaten churro.

”The fridge is down, where’s the cook?”

Both of them looked toward the last airdrop chamber. Big Muscle Dominator extended a metal finger and knocked on the door.

”Cook, are you dead yet?”

The door slowly opened, revealing another heavy-duty prosthetic warrior. As soon as he appeared, he was perplexed and said, ”Just now, it seemed like my exoskeleton was talking to me, did you hear it?”

The other two exchanged glances.

”Combat exoskeleton, talking? You must be hearing things. Do you even have the money to buy a combat program?”

At this moment, the usual sleazy laughter of Baozi came from above.

”Little ones, dig those graves well. After the seventh day, Boss will come to pick you up. Remember, you must find the legendary prosthetic activation program. If you find it, there’ll be great rewards!”

In response, three middle fingers were raised skyward.

After a brief rest, Justice’s Security Manager, I’m a Big Muscle Dominator, and Rock Chef God, the three players headed towards the Atomic City of the Civilization Era. Their goal was to ’grave-dig’.

Any ruins from the Civilization Era hold great value. Baozi somehow caught wind that there was a highly unique ’prosthetic activation program’ in this ruin. Any prosthetic body implanted with this program would see efficiency improve by 20%-30%. As a Prosthetic Doctor, the temptation was unbearable, and he immediately called his buddies to get involved.

”Hold on,” halfway there, Justice’s Security Manager suddenly halted the two. On the bulletproof helmet, a small green dot began auto-calibrating. Once calibration completed, the tactical prosthetic on his arm raised and with a ’bang’, a small black dot from the sky dropped down.

”Drone from the Civilization Era, Level 18 Common Monster.”

Nowadays, the Security Manager no longer wore just the whiteboard set of the Prosthetic Body Security but a fully automated Tier 1 Advanced Exoskeleton, all custom-made, with an automation rate reaching 70%.

”Drone? Is there a controller?” I’m a Big Muscle Dominator curiously asked.

”No idea, Baozi did say, we aren’t the first to come to this grave. Perhaps some tomb raiders before us accidentally triggered something.”

```
The Rock Chef God stared at the dilapidated concrete wall for a moment and suddenly said, ”I smell the scent of war, and the scent of gasoline roasting chips.”
The other two did not doubt his judgment, after all, as a level 24 Prosthetic Knight, he came from a legitimate military faction with a scavenger-style profession, possessing countless battlefield skills.
But this Rock Chef God is a bit unusual; he is not a legitimate combat personnel, but a logistics cook, also known as a canteen cook.
Even more bizarre is that those he serves are Mechanical Men.
He is a professional at cooking for robots.
”Let’s go, let’s go. The earlier we find what the capitalists want, the sooner we can loot and see if there’s any good stuff in the grave.”
And at the spot where the drone wreckage fell, strange electronic sounds began to ring out.
’Outsider, yet another outsider.’
’Become one of us.’
’No, become one of us.’
’All for the great ideal!’
...
Meanwhile, Gao Gong was sitting in Mas Sharpness’s nuclear-powered helicopter, passing through layers of radiation clouds, heading towards a mobile base of Mas Sharpness.
”Mr. Gao, the radiation level of the cloud layer is too high. You can choose either a radiation needle or a radiation protective suit.”
The robot’s palm extended forward, revealing a green syringe and a button.
Gao Gong shook his head and looked out the window. Beneath the thick clouds, black, red, blue, and white lights flickered alternately. Besides the radiance, there were also sounds resembling ammunition explosions.
In this radiation cloud layer 10,000 meters high, the radiation level is terrifyingly strong; even passing through some clouds, it reached the strength of an S-Level Radiation Field.
Throughout this process, Gao Gong remained calm, but on the exposed skin, crimson veins occasionally bulged. Thanks to these veins, he seemed to transform into a black hole, absorbing all the radiation energy in the cabin without any leaking out.
”Your biological implants are excellent, indeed worthy of a senior leader of the Du Gao Group.”
After the robot gave a compliment, it suddenly changed its tone, ”So, do you mind if I become a part of you?”
”Huh?”
”Look at me, as an advanced solid-state robot, I can regulate temperature, efficiently save energy, reduce noise, and besides that, I can also do housing renovation, furniture crafting, coffee making, playing mahjong, and even possess one hundred and twenty-one special sleeping postures. If you allow it, I can now connect to your skeletal system and complete the implantation.”
As the robot spoke, the wires on its exterior quivered provocatively.
”If you need, I can also install various entertainment modules to meet your other needs.”
”...”
Gao Gong was silent for a moment, then said, ”Is your group getting this competitive now? Even service robots have KPI requirements?”
”It must be some unruly employee who secretly implanted the transformation program. I will teach him a lesson.”
Accompanied by a helpless female voice, a screen automatically flipped out of the seat in front of Gao Gong, the screen lit up, revealing a cat-eyed beauty, with dark skin, cat pupils, a curvaceous figure, and a suit, exuding an inexplicable Egyptian vibe.
”But I didn’t expect President Du would let you come over.”
”...orange cat?”
The cat-eyed beauty rolled her eyes gracefully, ”We are old acquaintances, and you can’t remember my name?”
”It’s not that I forgot, I just never really knew,” Gao Gong humbly said.
”...” The cat-eyed beauty was a bit taken aback, gritting her teeth, ”Okay, let me officially introduce myself, Mas Sharpness Sales Department Manager, Miao Miaomiao.”
’That name has less dignity than an orange cat,’
Gao Gong internally mocked but outwardly smiled and asked, ”So, old friend, happy to see me again?”
”That depends on what you’re bringing over, well, we can have the courtesy talks when we meet. You can disembark now.”
Gao Gong seemed to sense something, looked out the window, and suddenly had a clear view. The radiation cloud layer seemed to be dispersed by some formless energy, revealing an orbital spaceship, commonly known as a Sky Carrier, but the massive energy shield spanning nearly 500 meters showed this flying device’s uniqueness.
It’s well known that the radiation layer of the Mechanical Split Star is no less than some low-threat cosmic environments, and yet this carrier can maintain stable operation in such conditions, quite incredible.
This is a Tier 2 spaceship but is experimenting with Tier 3 Interstellar Navigation Technology.
As the flying device entered the helipad, the metal doors slowly opened, and Gao Gong finally met an old acquaintance once again.
”Happy to see me?” The Catgirl, with emerald pupils, tilted her head and asked a certain someone.
