Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 571: Chapter 104: Power Faction Robot

As the top enforcer of General Cybertron, in Gao Gong’s eyes, the Mechanical Man wasn’t much different from the Transformers of his past life—except they couldn’t transform into cars.

In the universe, this type of Mechanical Man had another name, Energy Mechanical Body, a special soldier species in some old Mechanical Civilizations, harnessing various advanced energies to exert the powers of civilization’s punishment.

Considering that the signature product of Ancient Mechanical Civilizations is the Perpetual Motion Machine, it’s not particularly surprising that they produce this kind of soldier species.

Indeed, on this planet, these ’Mechanical Men’ were among the lowest levels, most likely not even equipped with Star-Destroying Cannons, and Gao Gong once relied on a Super Transformation to repel a batch.

However, these were Mechanical Elite Monsters exceeding level 50, adept at group fighting, incredibly dangerous, and prone to causing mishaps with a significant possibility of failure—the difficulty of a Nightmare-level Task was not just to fool players.

Gao Gong’s eyes flickered as he retorted, ”What, the viral evolution is my responsibility, and dealing with these mechanical species, do you expect me to do it? Is Mas Sharpness planning to reap the benefits while doing nothing?”

”...”

The communicator fell silent, but before Gao Gong could continue goading, Miao Miaomiao’s fervent voice broke through.

”How could that be! The mere Mechanical Legion is perfect for testing our group’s latest model of super weapons!”

Gao Gong was one hundred percent certain that the speaker was not Miao Miaomiao, but the secret boss behind Mas Sharpness, the legendary Boss Ma.

Indeed, possessed after all.

Typically, only a top-tier Corporate Will could achieve 100% control over employees, but evidently, this one used some Forbidden Technology to achieve this through manpower.

This also meant that from birth to death, Miao Miaomiao would be a part of this organization, unable to break free.

Gao Gong sighed softly and then decisively cut off this unnecessary conscience, calmly saying, ”Don’t stop them all, let a few through to accelerate the virus spread.”

...

At this moment, over the vast sea, a group of nearly hundred-meter-tall ’Transformers’ were at full throttle, breaking the sound barrier repeatedly, with the sound of sonic booms tearing through the air. As their Mechanical Bodies distorted in normal vision and turned into black lines, the speed of these monsters reached 15 times the speed of sound.

Stronger than Gao Gong had anticipated, as Power Faction mechanical forms, these Mother City Super Soldiers were not level 50 but Tier 2 Full Level 60, and as they moved at high speed, the particle ejection ports as thick as water tanks exuded a ’fluid-like’ golden energy. This energy congealed without dissipating, forming a hazy Energy Armor over these hundred-meter shells, and thanks to this protective layer, their parts weren’t damaged during high-speed movement.

Therefore, even with only thirteen Power Faction Mechanical Men, the aura they exuded was even more terrifying than the Mechanical Legion that Gao Gong had previously faced.

To put it this way, each of these deployed Mechanical Men was equipped with at least one Boss Template, with some possessing more, like the ’Mechanical Pioneer’ at the forefront.

In the Mechanical Realm, the life forms of Mechanical Men differ greatly.

For example, in the most orthodox cases, a powerful AI creates a powerful Mechanical Shell, and the two merge. This is called a ’Parasitic Mechanical Body,’ ’Network Mechanism,’ or ’Host Body,’ the fusion of information technology and mechanical engineering.

Then, like ’Carbon-Based Species,’ different types of robots use ’Consciousness Storage Devices’ for online ’Deep Communication,’ birthing ’Conscious Offspring.’ If the quality is high, they’re placed into an arranged advanced shell for focused nurturing; if low, they’re left in assembly line products to fend on their own.

Absorbing some ’advantages’ of Carbon-Based Species, this type of offspring production can birth tens of thousands at once, which is one reason the Mechanical Civilization can expand like cosmic locusts crazily.

This type of Mechanical Man is a product of information technology interaction.

The third kind is what we see now, where the Mother City breeds ’Sparks,’ and ’Mechanical Pioneers’ cultivate them, ensuring that each mechanical life produced is an elite, though it lacks mass production capabilities.

The ’Mechanical Pioneer’ is equivalent to the ’mother’ of these mechanical forms.

Mechanical Pioneer Venus, one of the Power Faction leaders and this punitive squad’s commander.

She was in a foul mood, for a simple reason: Mas Sharpness had secretly released a virus that caused several of her ’children’ to ’catch a cold,’ which infuriated her.

As a mother, any injury to her offspring made her exceptionally angry, so she decided to upgrade this ’punishment action’ to ’extinction’ level. This meant she could deploy the Mother City’s orbital weapons to completely eradicate life!

Perhaps other faction’s Mechanical Men wouldn’t be so reckless, as the ones proliferating on the planet’s surface were all precious ’experimental data.’

But they were the ’Power Faction’!

The Power Faction’s Mechanical are invincible under Heaven!!

And just as her murderous intent was boiling, suddenly, her internal ’warning system’ issued an alert. The Combat Chip’s visual simulation swiftly unfolded, predicting that in three seconds, the ocean surface would suddenly split, countless serrated mouths would open abruptly, and spikes resembling pillars would stab out from the sea floor, frantically attacking this group of Mechanical Men.

Real-time ’image transmission’ was almost simultaneously shared with her offspring, and in a nanosecond, the mechanical life forms completed the dismantling and recombination of their combat formation.

Three seconds passed, accompanied by a bizarre ’metallic tear’, hundred-meter, thousand-meter waves surged almost simultaneously, and in the waves, serrated mouths lunged towards them.

This short distance, this speed, theoretically made collision almost unavoidable. However, the individual hundred thousand mechanical parts of these Power Faction Mechanical Men began to split and recombine simultaneously, while the particle ejection ports on their bodies changed directions, with a radiance so bright it was blinding.

In a single breath, over a hundred waves exploded simultaneously, with those lacking ’sawteeth’ disintegrating into billions of droplets; this man-made marine disaster was thus readily thwarted.

Three hundred kilometers away, over ten figures suddenly appeared beyond thousands of waves. By this time, these Power Faction Mechanical had completed their combat form transformation, and the fuzzy energy membrane had entirely turned into Energy Armor, along with a blade of energy in each hand, as storm-like aura filled with killing intent began to wreak havoc across the scene. If they had a System Panel, they’d find various Master-level Close Combat Techniques lighting up one by one.

Among the four major mechanical factions—Furious, Broad, Ripping, Power—only the Power Faction Mechanical Men used close-quarters combat as their battle tactic, and this oddity was rare across numerous mechanical civilizations.

Therefore, they are also known as the ’Mechanical Lifeform version’ of Constructs.
