Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

”The terms they offered are too generous.”

After a negotiation that wasn’t particularly difficult, Du Zhaodi still couldn’t quite believe it after securing a large benefit.

”Let’s put it this way, if we can leverage the results of this transaction, our Du Gao Technology could save at least three years of arduous research.”

Gao Gong sat smiling on the table, silent, as he couldn’t exactly admit that he’d successfully duped them — by using the nonexistent Type I Dyson Sphere, Boson Lens, and Ion Acceleration Chamber, all Tier 3 Architecture.

However, he didn’t intend to completely deceive them; any blueprints related to this area that came out of future bets would all be tossed their way.

If you have the skills, go ahead and figure it out.

In any case, hold out for a year or so, and the Cyber Tide will descend; during that chaotic period, everything will change.

”With this information, all our weapon systems can be upgraded once!”

Director Du was visibly excited and quickly entered research mode with the company’s R&D personnel, neglecting even a certain young admirer.

Watching the intense enthusiasm of the other party, Gao Gong clicked his tongue in admiration. It’s no wonder a cold and ruthless engineer like her finds machines more attractive than men.

The trade went very smoothly. Du Gao Technology handed over the fifth generation virus to acquire these two ’Tier 3 Civilization Architectures’, and Mas Sharpness would also send a group of scientists to provide technical guidance. The condition was that, at the right moment, the two parties would cooperate to hunt down Bionic A.

After conducting preliminary research on these two Tier 3 Civilization Weapons, Gao Gong also understood why the other party was so agreeable.

In fact, in terms of performance alone, these two weapons just barely reached the passing line of ’Civilization Weapons’, and only when used in conjunction with the Polymer Metal Heart could they fully unleash their power.

The Liquid Weapons Printer, which is that dye weapon, is a special kind of ’Material Transformation Weapon’ that can temporarily convert molecules in the air into various weapon forms. As for how many forms, it depends on how many weapon plans the ’printer’ stores.

In fact, the printer itself is a transformable ’liquid structure’, which is why the Mechanical Pioneer lady couldn’t find its main body.

However, this ’Material Transformation’ has a very short time limit, with only about three minutes of activation time. Once time is up, not only do the weapons become ineffective, but the main body also enters a downtime state.

There is only one material that can extend its usage time, and yes, that material is the fifth generation of the Metal Heart.

The benefit, however, is its wide range of applications, dominating sea, land, and air.

The other Tier 3 Civilization Architecture, the Prosthetic Manipulator, is an industrial building similar to a Signal Tower. Its function is to temporarily enhance the implanted prosthetics of allied combat personnel, with a maximum increase of up to 50%.

As a single-target skill, this is already impressive, but as a large-area status buff, the effect is even more terrifying.

Not to mention, if it enhances Gao Gong’s prosthetics by 50%, he could go head-to-head with the Bio-Fusion War God of Mother City.

Oh, I forgot, he doesn’t have any prosthetics anymore.

The sadness of a certain part.

Incidentally, the Metal Heart can also enhance its performance.

Seeing this, he couldn’t help but open the Reward Bar and claim the rewards for this mission, unlocking three random ’Mas Sharpness’ technology blueprints and one Mas Sharpness Forbidden Technology product.

[You have obtained Level 9 Weapon Blueprint: Violent Monomolecular Line]

[You have obtained Level 9 Weapon Blueprint: Energy Block Arm]

[You have obtained Level 9 Weapon Blueprint: Omen Gloves]

[You have obtained Mas Sharpness Forbidden Technology Product — Infinite Replica Machine]

”Hiss—”

Looking at the dangerous introductions above, Gao Gong could only sigh. As expected from a member of the Skull Society, it’s indeed fierce!

Among them, the Violent Monomolecular Line is an old acquaintance. Ordinary monomolecular lines can only be considered Level 1 or 2 technology products, while the reason the Violent Monomolecular Line is a Level 9 blueprint is simple: it involves ’Material Transformation’.

In the weapon’s ’introduction’, it can transform a particular part of the body, like an arm or a leg, into a ’monomolecular state’, meaning in an instant, a leg can suddenly convert into thousands of monomolecular lines, binding and cutting the enemy. Even if the damage of a single monomolecular line is limited, the damage from so many monomolecular lines attacking suddenly is terrifying.

Besides the monomolecular line, the Energy Block Arm also has a strong sense of déjà vu, resembling that Winter Soldier’s arm, a bionic mechanical arm. Its core technology is neural frequency synchronized prosthetics, with intricate circuitry beneath the shell helping the mechanical arm accept brainwave control, with output power on a ton-level scale.

Looked at alone, this is just a decent prosthetic; in this era of universal prosthetic use, there are prosthetics with much greater effects out there.

But its most powerful ability, ’Energy Block’, elevates the value of this bionic mechanical arm to a new level, even among Tier 2 equipment, it stands out.

The so-called ’Energy Block’ refers to the ability to directly block energy and interrupt skills when facing long-range energy attacks or large-area energy fields.

For example, when Gao Gong’s Mechanical Body was not yet destroyed, it could transform his arm to perform Helium Atom Freezing Hand-held Cannon, releasing energy in cannon form to create a super freezing field. If the enemy used this trick, using the mechanical arm to perform an energy block, there was a high probability of interrupting the skill and disrupting the freezing field.

Similarly, if the enemy used pure energy attacks like energy beams, he could destroy the energy particles with a punch and perform ’energy block’, producing a ’miss’ effect.

All in all, it’s an incredibly powerful melee prosthetic.

If the first two prosthetics are about science, then the Omen Gloves are about superstition, or rather viral biology.

This glove has a very terrifying attribute, which is ’fatal’, meaning as long as you grab the enemy, there’s a chance of ’fatality’. The longer you hold on, the higher the fatality rate, and theoretically, if Bionic A is held for a long time, it would perish.

Of course, from a technical standpoint, that’s impossible.

But what’s impossible for Bionic A doesn’t mean it’s impossible for others.

Of the three equipment, besides the glove, the other two can be implanted in a mechanical body, largely compensating for Gao Gong’s loss of combat power.

As for that Forbidden Technology Product, it’s a specialized separation device, its purpose piquing the curiosity of the well-informed Gao Gong.

Infinite Replica Machine.

Bionically replicate yourself, and it’s indeed infinite bionic replication.

Yes, this equipment is the same as used by Boss Ma from Mas Sharpness, that twisted contraption that transformed him into countless workers.

...

Replicating individuals is a forbidden option in most civilizations due to the multitude of ethical issues it poses.

But the benefits are also very apparent; if you are a super scientist, then by pressing a button, you’ll suddenly have countless beings with equal intelligence.

Of course, Boss Ma’s ’Infinite Replica Machine’ isn’t that advanced. It is like a customized bionic factory, producing only your specific model of a Bionic Man, none with the same level of intelligence or ability.

However, it also breaks the barrier between Primordial People and Bionic Man, theoretically allowing a Primordial Person to create a bionic society solely of their own making.

This would create a frightening, singular world.

’But how exactly should this thing be used...?’ Gao Gong pondered with some distress.

He had no intention of replicating himself to become a grassroots 996 worker.

Considering giving it to someone else, there’s the fear of losing control. After all, if Artificial Intelligence can revolt, highly intelligent Bionic Men surely can too.

Not everyone is like Boss Ma.

While embroiled in worry, suddenly a message uploaded to the children’s watch on his wrist.

Gao Gong raised his eyebrows, glancing slyly at Director Du to ensure she was still engrossed in R&D, then sneakily slipped into a private room, locked the door, and activated the projection function on the watch.

Few people know this number, the rich ladies for sure, and this number seemed familiar — it belonged to another of his rich patrons, Sister Rose.

Could it be fate? If Sister Rose could use the Infinite Replica Machine to produce countless Bionic Roses, what a beautiful — wait — frightful world this would be!

As Gao Gong indulged in these fantasies and opened the projection, instead an unfamiliar old man appeared. His hair was half bald, his features a mix of sleazy and upright, a rather complex visage.

”Aramaki?!”
