Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 555: Chapter 88: Thunderous Daylight

In the universe, energy lifeforms are incredibly powerful and are often accompanied by terrifying cosmic phenomena, such as stellar collapse, dark matter tides, antimatter black holes, and galactic superflares. The extent of these phenomena covers an area not just of one or two star systems, but at the scale of an entire star system cluster.

And a star system cluster contains at least dozens, even hundreds of star systems.

With such a vast range and such great danger, the resulting energy lifeforms are at least level 90, which is also one of the universal facts — innate energy bodies can only be contended with by level 3 civilizations.

Yet, this common sense does not include artificial energy lifeforms.

No. 5 Destruction Form: Purple Energy Strings is one such entity.

Its level cannot surpass 90, yet it is an extremely rare spatial energy body.

This gives rise to a distinct feature: as long as it desires, almost no one on this planet can stop it.

Conversely, if Gao Gong harnesses this power, there would be few on this planet who could stop him.

For this reason, he urgently needs this thing.

Meanwhile, while ’Dida’ remains clueless and unaware, ’Purple Energy Strings’ has already set its sights on her.

As an artificial energy lifeform, and even the only energy lifeform on this planet, it is quite lonely.

Of course, its loneliness is not like the ’seeking a mate’ kind of loneliness experienced by carbon-based species; its loneliness stems from the biological instinctual desire to feed.

A kind of desire to ’devour their own kind.’

It awoke from chaos, at a time when this planet hardly had enough energy to satiate it. Driven by instinct, it began to interfere with the timeline, influencing the technological revolution of this planet, all done unconsciously. In its understanding, this was akin to ’planting crops’.

Sleeping, waking, sleeping again, and waking again, countless seasons passed, and finally, this planet was no longer devoid of energy. However, still, there were no energy lifeforms.

This was tantamount to subsisting on nutrient fluids but never getting a real feast.

So, when something appeared that couldn’t be considered a grand feast but at least was a ’delicious appetizer,’ the temptation was almost inevitable for it.

Where to take a bite first?

Dida also gradually sensed that something was wrong, for a simple reason: she looked around and found that the Mechanical Bio-Beasts had already surrounded her. More disgustingly, traces of purple radiance flickered continuously on these small mechanical creatures, gradually forming a massive purple network, forcing her activity area to become smaller and smaller.

Dida immediately activated the skill ’Basic Material Transformation,’ quickly sinking into the ground.

This move was similar to Earth Traveler Sun’s earth drilling technique, as long as the material wasn’t particularly complex, she could transform it temporarily.

However, as soon as she sank underground, the entire world transformed: a world surrounded by purple light, purple radiance flickering constantly on mirror-like hexagonal surfaces. With each turn, the entire world seemed to shift to a different position.

[You are suppressed by the ’???’ domain, all attributes -90%]

[Basic collapse occurring in your space, your speed -80%]

[You’re under advanced energy pressure, body assimilation in progress, 10%, 20%, 30%...]

To her horror, Dida realized that as a newly sprouted mushroom, she began to leak moisture; the water on her body started evaporating out of nowhere, while in the darkness, the sound of joyful gulping was heard.

’Damn, I’m being sucked dry! This is R18 material!’

If it was just about dying, it didn’t matter, since players, being the 4th Celestial Calamity, have plenty of lives to spare.

But dying in this way was quite distressing; she was into Shotas, not tentacles!

Just when Dida felt she was about to be sucked dry alive, she jolted with a shiver, looked around, and in just seconds, the outer layer of all the purple laser beams had been coated with a thin layer of frost.

Even her own body surface quickly froze, turning her from a half-dried mushroom into a frozen mushroom.

’Wh-What the hell!?’

This was Dida’s last thought before she blacked out and died instantly.

[Your blood volume is depleted, killed by ’Mr. G’]

In dealing with No. 5 Destruction Form, especially one with the ’spatial attribute’ Purple Energy Strings, it was crucial to strike with absolute certainty. If you couldn’t achieve a decisive hit, if the opponent wished to flee, you would never be able to catch them.

Therefore, when Gao Gong makes a move, it is a decisive strike. Within mere seconds, the entire Garbage Island was immediately frozen. The violent freezing energy even froze the nearby sea. Amidst the rising ice fog, a faint white pillar of light could be seen descending from the sky.

Helium Atom Freezing Hand-held Cannon Transformation (Tier 2) (Modification): Through helium atom extraction and cannon-form energy release, creating a super freezing field with a temperature of -273 degrees, the coverage area expands by 100 meters per second. All organisms within this area will be subjected to the effects of life disappearance, frostbite, freezing, and energy damage, with energy consumption of 100 points/second.

Although this type of transformation skill cannot be upgraded, it has one advantage: as long as the user doesn’t care about the wear and tear of the equipment, it can be directly ’unleashed’.

In just five seconds, the energy of Gao Gong’s ’Carbon Atom Reactor’ in his chest was completely depleted, and at the same time with a ’pop’, his right hand, which had transformed into a Freezing Cannon, exploded, various components flying around, and the skill bar went completely black. Without mechanical body repairs, this gadget was obviously unusable.

But the effect caused by this was also very obvious. Garbage Island turned into an Ice Island, and the sea surface of the same area also turned into a thick ice layer. Waves hundreds of meters high seemed to still maintain their original motion, only now transformed from water waves to ice waves.

Gao Gong didn’t hesitate at all, swinging his hand, a Flesh Bud appeared at the crack, and in the next moment, it mended the wound, leaving only a mark similar to a pattern where the injury occurred.

The same pattern appeared almost simultaneously on various parts of his body, a sign that the S-Level Talent ’Flesh Carpet’ was being fully activated.

In the next moment, countless flesh granules shot out from these ’patterns’, continuing to decompose in mid-air, intertwining into a Flesh Web, which when fully enveloping the Ice Island below, had upgraded into a Flesh Carpet.

Crimson Queen’s most powerful move, a tactic even capable of absorbing a Beast Tide, was fully deployed by Gao Gong. In some sense, it even surpassed the original version, as Gao Gong’s ’Radiation Beast Cells’ now exceeded hers, a wild A-level Radiation Beast, in terms of both quantity and quality.

The patterns seemed like countless blossoms, with arm-thick tendons entwining the island’s surface, below which the Flesh Carpet heaved like a red field of grass blown by the wind.

In just a few seconds, the entire island turned from an Ice Island into a Flesh Sphere with a diameter of ten miles.

Gao Gong floated mid-air, gasping heavily, as if he had just served a Rich Lady.

The previous move, Ice Cannon, had exhausted his Mechanical Energy, and this move, ’Flesh Carpet’, further depleted his Biological Energy to almost nothing.

’Kid, your physique can’t hold up, you’re exhausted already?’

”Don’t sneer at me!” Gao Gong flipped the sky the middle finger.

Don’t be fooled by Eliza and these Big Data Conceptual Bodies who could call the shots in Cyber Space and act like Deities. In reality, their role, especially those of the ’Software Spirit’, is quite limited.

The web crawlers of search engines couldn’t reach ’Purple Energy Strings’.

It was up to Gao Gong to act.

However, in the next moment on the Ice Island shrouded by the Flesh Carpet, purple radiance began to light up from ’subcutaneous fat’, and Gao Gong immediately forgot about bickering, lifting one hand, the flesh granules on the surface turned into countless fine threads, inserting into his pores.

This was the activation of another S-Level Talent, Flesh Fusion.

Instantly, a massive surge of energy flooded in, rapidly replenishing the completely depleted ’Carbon Atom Reactor’, energy quickly recovering, 10%, 20%, 30%...

Gao Gong acted with intent.

The super low temperature of the Ice Cannon could encase the shell of an Energy Body, preventing the opponent from ’Instant Teleportation’ to escape.

Then by covering a Flesh Carpet on the surface of the ice, if ’Purple Energy Strings’ attempted a forceful escape, he could offer a complimentary ’Star Absorption Skill’, directly draining the opponent’s energy.

Simultaneously, the Destructive Energy within his body began reacting, fine strands of purple energy were absorbed through the pores, drilling into the major systems of his body.

[Destructive Energy is entering Fusion State; your Bloodline begins to mutate, Power +10, Agility +10, Endurance +10, Perception +10]

[Due to the influence of ’Destruction Transformation’, your Organism is entering Evolution Mode, transformation rate of your Endocrine System +2%, Circulatory System +2%, Respiratory System +2%, Digestive System +2%]

[’Advanced Energy Symbiote’ promoted to ’Special-Level Energy Symbiote’, Energy Skill Damage +50%, Energy Release Efficiency +50%, with ’Space Destruction Effect’]

[Once ’Perfect Fusion’ is completed, the Planet Mainline Task will be initiated]

Gao Gong didn’t have time to view the string of prompts popping up on the system panel, and as soon as he thought it, the sky darkened with rolling clouds, lightning, and thunder, and the suddenly increased energy poured down like a flood.

Small Weather Weapon - Mjolnir (Fine) (Tier 2 - Master): Compared to Energy Weapons, Weather Weapons have a wider range of influence, creating a thunderstorm cloud layer up to 3000 meters thick, capable of producing heavy rain, lightning, and storms.

If directly attacking, it could generate widespread lightning damage with heat reaching up to 50 billion joules and 10000 damage points, consuming 3000 energy points per second.

The effect of this move was akin to the group attack version of a 2-Stage Locking Thunder Spear, with wider coverage and higher damage.

The only ’drawback’ is that it can only be used within a planet and cannot be unleashed in outer space.

Moreover, the energy consumption of this move is terribly high, under normal circumstances, Gao Gong could not sustain it for ten seconds.

But now, under the effect of the ’Charging Bank for the Destruction Form’, Gao Gong held it for close to three minutes, and the area visible to the naked eye was covered by rolling thunder and lightning.

This was more overwhelming than Thor’s special effects, akin to the level of Thor’s father.

In the next moment, with a command from Gao Gong, the sky was filled with lightning, turning the world stark white.

When the view gradually returned, the island had disappeared.
