Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Seeing the system’s note, Sister Ji shivered instinctively.

Shut-in nerds are so disgusting!

How seasoned a shut-in nerd must be to come up with such a weird task.

Although with the support of the ’Local Area Network’, endlessly unleashing powerful moves feels incredibly satisfying, and the experience skyrockets, Sister Ji increasingly felt uneasy, for no other reason than the fact that these illusion clones were multiplying not only from the walls but also emerging from the floors, ceilings, everywhere.

How many years have these cyber shut-ins been online, with so many clones that even Sister Ji is a bit scared!

Leveled up three times in a row, with three attribute points all added to Power, Sister Ji, using implant threads similar to Oriental Invincibility, fought her way down to the first floor, only to see in the nightclub’s hall neon lights flashing madly, with men and women displaying inappropriate scenes.

Miss Sakura was alone guarding the door, her mechanical talons like a butcher dissecting a cow, any nerd rushing into the club would be dissected, and interestingly, these dissected Capsule Men seemed not to come back to life.

After a long while, the door finally closed again.

Sister Ji quickly approached, saying, ”Miss Sakura, are you planning to use the club’s network with built-in virtual reality to trap these Capsule Men?”

”As long as we trap the main body within the Local Area Network, the illusion clones won’t replicate, what’s the issue?”

”There’s a big issue, Miss, these cyber shut-ins may not have rich practical experience, but their theoretical knowledge is master-level, be careful they might turn the tables!”

Miss Sakura was taken aback for a moment, a thought crossed her mind, and the next moment, the entire Red Dream Club disintegrated, replaced by a digital space composed of red numbers.

Sister Ji couldn’t understand the complex algorithms inside, but she could visibly see that at the outermost part of the digital space, a series of yellow personality codes like viruses replicated rapidly, like bursting male hormones, frantically combining with the red codes in the digital space, forming strings of gibberish.

This was invading the Local Area Network’s core.

Miss Sakura’s expression changed dramatically, quickly canceling the virtual love program, and started using the Local Area Network’s built-in antivirus software to detoxify, for a moment, the red codes were like female hemorrhage, crazily overwhelming all yellow gibberish.

The two reappeared in the nightclub hall, with no one around.

However, just when the two felt at ease, the next moment, the ground shook, and countless arms jutted out from the walls, floors, ceilings.

”Run!”

Miss Sakura decided instantly, ran straight to the elevator, waiting for the elevator doors to sever countless arms, completely closed, then they finally breathed a sigh of relief.

”You made a valid point, but how do you know so much?”

Sister Ji opened her mouth, she couldn’t say that while others play online games, she single-plays and then turns it into adult games, she logs in every day to stroll through 3D zones, already a seasoned expert.

Thinking about it, Sister Ji’s face changed dramatically, oh no, the shut-in nerd is actually myself!

”What do we do now, Miss Sakura?”

Miss Sakura glanced at her, temporarily ignoring the female Bionic Man’s offense.

”With the Local Area Network being attacked, Lady Red Dream will surely know, what we need to do now is to buy time and wait for her return.”

”Plus the biggest advantage of Local Area Network compared to cyber spaces—”

”What’s that?”

Miss Sakura’s slender fingers seemed to be wrapping something in the air, then suddenly pulled, the next moment, the network was disconnected!

”Naturally, being able to disconnect at any time!”

The elevator ’boomed’, got stuck in place, and Sister Ji was shaken to the ground.

Their bodies visibly pixelated, turning into countless red numbers scattering outward, soon leaving only the Local Area Network’s algorithm piecemeal skeleton.

Just before the skeleton disintegrated, Miss Sakura suddenly inserted, the elevator ’rumble’ sounded again, began to sink, simultaneously, their figures once again transformed from illusion to reality.

This feeling of disconnection and reconnecting is very similar to 3D vertigo syndrome, which is the nausea from long-playing 3A games, just to a more severe degree, Sister Ji promptly vomited, spewing out lumps of pixels.

”Re-establishing the sensory signal connection brings temporary physical discomfort.”

”What are these pixels?” Sister Ji wiped her mouth, feeling sick.

”Neural signal gibberish, when you return to reality, you might suffer from headaches and fevers for a few days, or I could perform cranial repair on you.”

Sister Ji was about to say something when suddenly ’ding’, the elevator doors slowly opened.

What appeared before them was darkness, but within the darkness, it’s as though countless fireflies were flying, upon closer inspection, they realized these ’fireflies’ were glow sticks.

”A cheerleading scene? Concert?”

Sister Ji was dumbfounded, the next moment, countless glowing sticks waving in unison, accompanied by the frenzied shouts of ’hey’ ’hey’ ’hey’, the massive light pollution flooded towards them like mountains and seas, corroding the elevator doors upon exposure to this radiance.

Miss Sakura’s expression changed dramatically, ten mechanical claws suddenly thrust out, the length even rivaling Dr. Octopus’s mechanical tentacles.

The talons bit the light pollution snakes like venomous serpents, buying time, finally buying enough until the elevator doors completely closed with a ’boom’, continuing downwards.

Seeing Miss Sakura’s arms like being doused with acid, large amounts of remaining data spilling without concern.

”In reality—”

”Amputation required.”

Miss Sakura calmly stated something that sounded terrifying.

”Our brain’s operating system was cracked by hacking software, otherwise cannot explain why the enemy found us so quickly.”

”Which means, the enemy can attack us through our IP anytime.”

Sister Ji’s face changed dramatically, ”Then are we toast?!”

Miss Sakura suddenly turned her head to Sister Ji, ”By the way, my backup personality has entered the reboot phase, is yours ready?”

”Backup personality, I—I don’t have one!” Sister Ji was dumbfounded.

”Then you’re really done for.”

”Ahhhh, I don’t want to change my account—”

Sister Ji didn’t notice that as she said this, Miss Sakura’s lips curled up slightly.

’Ding—’

Sister Ji swallowed hard, staring intently at the elevator doors. The last one was a call site, what is this one, an electronic music festival?

In the end, Sister Ji’s eyes grew sore from staring, but the elevator doors never opened.

”Mind if I ask, what are you looking at?”

Sister Ji turned sharply, only to see a dead-eyed boy curiously watching her, while behind the elevator, another door had quietly opened.

”Allow me to introduce myself, Cyber Hacker Ahong, hired help by your boss.”

”You—” Sister Ji was speechless.

”Looks like you won’t have to die,” Miss Sakura said expressionlessly.

Sister Ji suddenly realized that sometimes, a girl of few words can really attract hatred.

Ahong walked into the elevator, snapped his fingers, and suddenly an up and down button appeared next to the close door button. Ahong pressed the up button.

Although the operation seemed simple, Miss Sakura knew that this step could only be achieved by infiltrating the basic architecture of the local area network.

As the up button continued to light up, Sister Ji’s face changed, ”Hey, you’re not planning to take us back to the call site, are you?”

”We’ve got to have Aidolu at a call site.”

With a ’ding’, the elevator doors opened once more. This time, all the spotlights were focused on the center stage, the stage’s radiance battling the glow of fluorescent sticks, occasionally sparking a blaze of code fire.

Electronic guitar, electronic drums, digital turntable, amidst the furious electronic music, the stage lights suddenly dimmed. Then, one by one, lights turned on, and with each beam, a girl’s silhouette appeared.

”Mechanical Girl Aidolu!”

”Punk Girl Aidolu!”

”Bio-Fusion Girl Aidolu!”

”Construct Girl Aidolu!”

”Chainsaw Girl Aidolu!”

”Cat Ear Girl Aidolu!”

”Wolf Tail Girl Aidolu!”

”We are, the Aidolu Squad!!!”

...

In reality, in the Old Town District, Gao Gong withdrew his gaze from the direction of the Red Dream Club and murmured to himself, ”What’s going on, I sent you to rescue people, and you’re putting on a concert instead.”

His gaze then fell on Lady Red Dream standing nearby.

”And you, madam, your lair is about to be ransacked by the Welfare Gang, aren’t you going back to protect it?”

Lady Red Dream flipped open a small paper fan with a swish, covering her mouth as she laughed: ”It’s still most interesting to hang around with Mr. Gao.”

Gao Gong became wary, ”As a service provider, I’m not concerned about the age of rich ladies, but the older they are, the higher the charge, you should know that.”

Lady Red Dream maintained her elegance: ”Unfortunately, you’re not of the type I fancy.”

Gao Gong sighed in relief, ”So what type do you like?”

”An old lady like me naturally likes those cute, fair-skinned young boys.”

Gao Gong’s expression changed drastically, silently and discreetly retreating a step back.

If young women meant easy money with little effort and close to home, then older women meant troublesome issues with a lot of chatter and this Mr. G understands deeply. In his past life, he almost mastered elderly care techniques.

He can no longer browse the internet in front of this one.

Gao Gong forced a dry chuckle, ”So shall we proceed with our plan.”

”Certainly.”

At the thought, he activated Electronic Control within the Radiation Field Mastery. With Gao Gong at the center, two rows of street lamps and surveillance cameras suddenly burst, two rows of lights dimmed down one by one, and this darkness quickly spread to other streets.

In the Gothic Gang’s lair, two figures suddenly descended from the sky, and in the next moment, countless blood threads gushed out, in the rainy weather, a giant net enveloped the Gothic Gang’s lair.

As some Batman once said, if anyone dares to stop us from delivering justice, we’ll stab them in the back.

That’s exactly what Gao Gong planned to do.

Of course, talking justice was fake, talking business was real.

The real reason for sparking this street warfare was that he wanted to collect enough street technology to complete the Prosthetic Doctor’s job transition task.
