Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Gao Jin is busier than before.

As soon as he returned from the Evil Gang’s territory, he announced three things.

The first was to divide the technological data of the Evil Gang and the street technology acquired from Welfare Gang’s recent conquests into two parts: one to be sold through the Black Market, and the other to be distributed for free to all nearby Prosthetic Doctors.

The second was to announce that the Kobayashi Clan would become a permanent partner of the Welfare Gang, with Kobayashi Hideyuki as the Young Master enjoying the same privileges as the Dragon Head. Suddenly, Mechanical Blade Masters appeared in the streets and alleys.

The third was to establish Blessing Security Company and invite nearby small gangs, street crews, which included Old Town District’s crime families, wandering Motorcycle Gangs, Flying Car Faction, Street Gangs, Gothic Gang, and the largest group, the Frontal Gang.

He distributed the company’s shares based on the strength of each faction.

He even released some of the Evil Gang captives, handing them over to a high-ranking member who surrendered.

The small Outer City District factions couldn’t have dreamt that the now prominent Welfare Gang Dragon Head would be so generous.

”Smart move,” said Kingpin— oh no, Boss Hong laughed.

”Almost all security companies start as gangs, but not every gang ends up becoming a security company. Why is that?”

Boss Hong grinned, his smile eerie.

”Because a security company is just a big company’s dog. If it doesn’t behave, can it still be called a dog?”

”He knows how to share the spoils—he has potential to be a good dog!”

Lady Red Dream glanced at Boss Hong and said, ”I heard your 24k Golden Diamond Security is involved too?”

”Why not make money if you can? Even you, ma’am, have your adopted daughter at Welfare Gang as a Prosthetic Doctor, don’t you?”

”Relics like us from the old era must continually adapt to the new trend to survive.”

Lady Red Dream smiled mysteriously, her gaze deep, lost in thought.

…

Now, at the Seafood Grand Restaurant, Gao Jin was dressed in a long-sleeved traditional gown with a large red flower on his chest, resembling an ancient bridegroom.

This was a unique blend of Ancient Empire attire with local customs.

At this moment, Gao Jin greeted every guest with a broad smile, whether they were a murderous maniac from the neighboring street or a devout head of the ’Hardcoded God’ religion, he displayed a courteous and respectful demeanor.

Entirely unlike a dominant figure who swept through ten blocks, claiming to be the mastermind of the Outer City’s underworld.

Every so often, a formidable super gang that could suppress most of the district emerged from the Outer City District.

These types of gangs were undoubtedly strong contenders for the ’Peacekeeper’ role.

In the Outer City District, Old Town District, Saint Domingo District, Sub-human Continent, Lower Midtown District, Upper Midtown District, among the six districts of Nightless City, sixty percent of the Peacekeepers originated from the Outer City District.

Winning in the dogfighting arena mostly means it’s a good dog.

Are there exceptions?

Indeed, there are some.

Some super gangs don’t choose to become ’Peacekeepers’ but instead sweep through all Outer City gangs, becoming the undisputed overlord of the Outer City District.

The challenge they then face is the roundup by Nightless City’s numerous security companies.

And once they withstand the onslaught from all these security companies, they get true recognition from Mechanic and can claim a territory within Nightless City, becoming a true ’licensed operating organization’ meant to maintain the smooth operation of ’Artificial Data.’

Over the decades, Nightless City has only seen three such gangs, specifically the three super gangs from Saint Domingo District.

Steel Claw Gang, Deep Web Weaver, Powerful Gang.

Clearly, Gao Jin didn’t want to tackle such an overwhelming challenge, so compromising and forming a security company with various factions was his ultimate goal.

”Brother Jin, Leaky wants to see you,” Bodhisattva Man said softly, having had his severed arm replaced with the latest mechanical prosthetic limb. That’s the benefit of technological advancement; as long as you have a breath left, you can always find the most suitable replacement parts for the various pieces you’ve lost.

”That fool, I’m not seeing him!”

A shadow flickered through Gao Jin’s eyes.

”At this time, thinking of reconciliation? When is things so easy?”

”Brother Jin, it’s your turn to speak.”

A custom-made usher with a broad smile said.

”Let’s go.”

Gao Jin pinched the face of the beautiful female Bionic Man before him, took the speech script, and walked to the stage. Facing the vassal influences below, he smiled broadly.

”Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to...”

The next moment, Gao Jin’s smile froze. His burly body bulged with black muscles, and the Molecular Bio-Fusion Armor almost instantly covered his body, including vital spots like his eyeballs, ears, and back of the head.

Like the Hulk, Gao Jin leapt up, smashing through three floors and landing on the rooftop of the restaurant. His punch like a water-tank, sonic-boom sounds exploded incessantly, and from three meters away smashed into two rockets, one of which exploded on the spot while the other fell into a nearby Gene Extraction Station.

The next instant, a violent explosion engulfed the building.

The energy particle vents emerged from Gao Jin’s back, each the size of a bowl. Furious black energy streams erupted instantly, spanning hundreds of meters in a few breaths, landing on a residential building.

On the rooftop, two small players were fumbling with whether the rocket should be inserted from the front or the back of the cannon tube.

”Holy crap, big boss!”

”Load, load!”

Unfortunately, before the small players could even shout ”Fire at me,” they were mercilessly turned into meat paste by Gao Jin. With his fists mixed with sonic booms, seven floors of glass of an entire building shattered simultaneously, and cracks emerged on the load-bearing walls.

Level 30 is a threshold. Once surpassed, it means possessing surface destruction-level combat power.

As for the extent of this surface destruction, it depends on your level of modification.

Molecular Bio-Fusion Armor, this Advanced Equipment has very stringent conditions for equipping, with the first being reaching Level 30.

When Gao Jin landed from the sky, Bodhisattva Man immediately rushed over, with a grim expression: ”Brother Jin, our underground factories have been attacked.”

Gao Jin frowned: ”Which one?”

”All the processing plants!”

Compared to the territory occupied openly by street gangs, these underground bases are the true veins of a street gang.

Gao Jin’s face turned livid, and after a moment of silence, he uttered four words under his breath.

”Lady Red Dream!!”

Few people could know all the Welfare Gang’s outposts, and Lady Red Dream was without a doubt the most suspicious!

”The attackers are the same group as before!”

”It must be Master’s people,” Gao Jin suddenly laughed, ”Master is Master, knowing we are at our most vulnerable, intends to beat a drowning dog, huh?”

”We’ll see how good his teeth are.”

Gao Jin raised his head, took a deep breath, ”Go back and tell everyone, the second street war has begun!”
