Not Being a Trainer This Time

However, since there’s such a saying, maybe that Pokemon really exists!

At noon, the two Pokemon found a quiet place and happily enjoyed the food Naoki prepared on the rooftop.

Regarding the disappearance of food yesterday, both Pokemon were somewhat baffled. Luckily, there wasn’t much food missing, perhaps some hungry Pokemon took it away. Therefore, Mew and Teddiursa didn’t pay much attention to it.

They opened their bags and took out a few pieces of Poffin. Just after eating one, something incredible happened again.

The remaining pieces of Poffin disappeared once more!

“miu…”

Mew’s face was heavy, clearly, this wasn’t a coincidence.

There must be a Pokemon stealing this food from a place and using a method unknown to them.

Teddiursa looked at the remaining Poffin in the bag, realizing there wasn’t much stock left…

This amount probably wouldn’t support them to reach the next place.

Thinking of this, Teddiursa called out the Rotom Phone and then dialed Naoki’s number.

Soon, the call was connected, and Naoki’s face appeared on the screen.

Mew was also drawn to this scene, moving closer together with Teddiursa to tell Naoki about the happenings of the past two days.

“What? The Poffin disappeared mysteriously?”

Listening to the two Pokemon’s recount, Naoki was somewhat surprised.

“Was it taken by other Pokemon?”

“miu…” Mew nodded, otherwise how would the Poffin suddenly disappear?

Back then, it also used such tricks, using Teleport to take away Poffin and toys when people weren’t paying attention. Until later, after watching that movie and becoming a hero, it never did such things again.

“Alright, no worries, I have plenty of Poffin at home, I’ll ask Dragonite to send a pack to you.” Naoki smiled and comforted them.

As he spoke, the corner of his eyes suddenly caught the background behind Mew and Teddiursa.

The most captivating was the giant sword standing in the mountains in the distance, its blade embedded entirely into the mountainside, leaving one to wonder what kind of power could accomplish such a feat.

That is…

Naoki was slightly stunned.

Mew and Teddiursa also noticed Naoki’s gaze, turning to look but found nothing, prompting them to inquire confusedly.

“miu?”

“What?”

“Where are you guys now?” Naoki couldn’t help but ask.

Mew immediately thought of the name that those humans mentioned earlier.

It seemed to be… Eindoak?

“miu!” Yes, it’s called Eindoak!

Upon hearing this, Naoki instantly realized what was happening.

Eindoak, the place where the plot of the movie “Victini and the Black and White Heroes” occurred!

And the so-called Black and White Heroes refers to the well-known Dragon of True Reshiram and Dragon of Ideals Zekrom…

In that movie, there was a mischievous Pokemon, Victini, who loved to vanish, tease people, secretly take others’ snacks and shared its power around.

If his guess was correct, the mastermind behind the “Poffin theft” is probably Victini!

Naoki glanced around but couldn’t find any trace of Victini nearby.

After a quick thought, he focused his gaze on Mew.

“Mew, use your Psychic powers to sense around.”

“miu?”

Mew shivered slightly and immediately began to try.

Only to see it close its eyes, and the next second, an immense Psychic force surged out from its body, quickly spreading around with Mew at the center.

Almost instantly, the surrounding environment unfolded completely in Mew’s mind.

The Purrloin resting on the rooftop, the Patrat in the dark alley rummaging through trash cans, humans running on the streets, Deerling frolicking in the distant valley…

Soon, Mew sensed the aura of Naoki’s crafted Poffin in one of the figures’ hands.

Found it!

It sharply opened its eyes, locking its gaze behind the chimney of one of the houses.

In the next second, Mew used Teleport, and it, along with Teddiursa and Phone Rotom, vanished from where they were standing and reappeared behind the chimney.

And there, a small-sized Pokemon with two large “V”-shaped ears was happily munching on the Pokemon they had just lost!

That was the Victini Naoki had mentioned!

“miu!”

“Yume!”

Mew and Teddiursa glaringly looked at Victini.

At this moment, seeing itself discovered, Victini appeared slightly flustered.

It swiftly hid its form, turning around to escape.

However, Mew had already used its Psychic power to lock onto its position, and no matter how Victini concealed itself, Mew could always capture its location.

Thus, the situation ultimately evolved into Victini running ahead, with Mew, Teddiursa, and Phone Rotom chasing behind.

Naoki witnessed the whole process through the Rotom Phone’s camera, momentarily at a loss for words.

At this time, Levincia Gym’s receptionist Anya came to notify:

“Gym Leader, more Trainers have come to challenge the Gym!”

Naoki: “…”

At such a crucial moment, interruptions cannot be tolerated, so he said: “I have something to attend to right now, ask them to come back in the afternoon.”

Anya: “Alright.”

As the Gym Leader has this authority, Anya turned to leave.

Naoki redirected his attention to the Phone Rotom’s screen.

He was surprised to see Mew chasing Victini out of Eindoak and into a distant valley.

At the end of the valley, appeared a Sword Castle, with the gigantic sword blade piercing into the mountain range.

Naoki knew that there was the so-called “Dragon Vein.”

And beneath the Earth Sword Castle, the Dragon Stone lay. If one could pass the test, Reshiram or Zekrom would emerge from it to help the tester fulfill their mission.

Victini flew into the Earth Sword Castle, followed closely by Mew and Teddiursa.

Once inside, Victini hid, and Naoki also stopped Mew and Teddiursa, asking them to use Rotom Phone to capture the surroundings.

Mew and Teddiursa, although puzzled, obediently complied.

“As you can see, this large castle is actually named Earth Sword.” Naoki began to speak slowly.

“miu?”

“The Pokemon you just chased is named Victini. Ever since its Trainer passed away, it has been living alone here for over a thousand years.” Naoki continued.

Upon hearing this, Mew and Teddiursa were both stunned.

“miu?!”

“Let me tell you a story!” Naoki sat down and began.

A story?

Teddiursa immediately realized that the story Naoki referred to might be related to this castle and Victini.

It exchanged a glance with Mew, then found a rock to use as a seat.

Seeing that the two Pokemon didn’t chase after, Victini quietly hid behind a massive pillar, eavesdropping on their conversation.

“Once upon a time, Victini and its Trainer lived happily in this castle together. That person was the King of this place, under whose reign, the entire nation prospered, and humans, nature, and Pokemon coexisted harmoniously here.”

“And that King had twin Princes, who by chance encountered the Dragon-type Pokemon representing truth, Reshiram, and the Pokemon representing ideals, Zekrom.”

“Later, as the King grew older, the two Princes were about to inherit the throne, but they held opposing views on the kingdom’s future direction.”

“What followed was a devastating war, with both sides fighting fiercely, ending in mutual exhaustion, with Reshiram and Zekrom depleting much of their life energy and finally transforming into stones, falling into a long slumber.”

“When the Princes realized the mistakes they had made, it was already too late; the energy of the Dragon Vein was in chaos, and the earth was destroyed.”

“Finally, to prevent all this, the King surrounded the castle with the Guardian Pillars, using Victini’s power to make the Earth Sword fly into the sky, arriving at the current mountain top.”

“Just after that, the King exhausted his strength, and his life reached its end, no longer able to sustain the Guardian Stone Pillar and the Barrier, thus leaving them there.”

“With the help of the Old King and Victini, not long after, the uncontrolled Dragon Vein calmed down, the King passed away, and the two Princes reflected deeply and left individually.”

“Finally, only Victini was left in the entire castle, staying alone for nearly a thousand years now.”

“Victini cannot leave because the Guardian Stone Pillar and Barrier trap it forever in Eindoak.”
