Not Being a Trainer This Time

Taking advantage of Levincia Gym’s day off today, Naoki packed up his gear and, after informing Lono, stepped into the Reversed World where Giratina resided.

Giratina was playing on its phone over there; ever since the Arceus incident last time, it had suddenly become the world’s second largest internet celebrity.

Apart from Calyrex, no one else could compete with it.

At this moment, Giratina felt a sense of invincibility and retiring to live out its days.

Seeing Naoki coming over, Giratina glanced obliquely, asking in a rough voice, “Where are you going?”

“To plant some seeds.” Naoki replied without turning his head.

He, along with Dugtrio and Gogoat, leaped onto an undeveloped Sky Island, nodding at Dugtrio.

“Zizi!”

Dugtrio, like a newly appointed policeman, first stood upright to salute, and immediately dove into the soil.

In a second, the originally flat ground had small bumps as Dugtrio quickly moved underneath.

Soon, the dirt on this Sky Island started to become looser.

Naoki followed behind, sowing the grass seeds brought back by Mew and Teddiursa.

Once everything was ready, it was Gogoat’s turn to make an impact.

“Maa!”

Gogoat stepped forward, tapping the ground lightly with its hoof, and the next second, a rich green glow surged from its body, enveloping the entire field in a blink.

Those seeds quickly broke through the soil, first growing into saplings, and soon the saplings continued to grow.

Before long, the field had turned into a lush green area.

One after another, strange crops Naoki had never seen before grew well, with peculiar fruits hanging from the emerald green stems.

Naoki’s gaze swept over the field rows, and upon seeing the effects of those fruits, he couldn’t help but feel a surge of joy in his heart.

It succeeded!

[Awakening Fruit: A special fruit grown from the reversed Sleep Seed into an Awakening Seed. No matter how sleepy you are, eating one will instantly wake you up. When made into a dish, it gives the “Insomnia” effect.]

[Bluk Berry: A special fruit grown from the reversed X-Eye Seed into a Bluk Seed. It can cure hyperopia and myopia, and when made into a dish, it gives the “Vision Enhancement” effect.]

[Recovery Berry: A special fruit grown from a reversed blindness seed into a Recovery Seed. It can cure blindness, allowing the blind and Pokemon to see the light again. When made into a dish, it gives the “True Sight” effect.]

“…”

“As expected!” Seeing these powerful effects, Naoki was shocked. Although these fruits aren’t as immediately powerful as Lightning Steamed Bun in enhancing Pokémon, their effects are incomparable in certain ways.

Healing myopia, curing blindness…

From now on, they wouldn’t have to worry about getting myopia from playing on their phones.

Moreover, based on the descriptions of these fruits, it seems that cooking them into a dish would yield some special effects.

Insomnia, Vision Enhancement, True Sight?

“I wonder what their effects will be. But, I’ll try it and find out!”

Naoki immediately picked two of each fruit to take home for experimentation.

The environment of the Reversed World is very special; the crops here are all in a state of “eternity,” meaning they won’t wither or die of old age.

Once the fruits are picked, after a while, the crops will absorb the Reversing Power and produce new fruits.

Naoki wasn’t worried about any issues with the fruits. Once he confirmed his ideas, he left the Reversed World with several Pokémon and returned to the farm.

However, Naoki didn’t immediately cook the fruits; he put them away because he still hadn’t planted the Reviver Seed, intending to prepare everything together later.

Talking about the Revival Herb, its effects cannot be overlooked.

In games, the Revival Herb’s effect is comparable to Ho-oh’s Holy Ash, capable of restoring all health to fainted Pokémon, but its taste is extremely bitter, which most Pokémon do not like.

As for the Revival Herb in this world…

Naoki took out his Rotom Phone, searched the internet, and quickly found related content about the Revival Herb.

——[The Secret of Milos Island, the Origin of Reviver Herb!]

The news said that the Revival Herb is a special product of Milos Island in the Unova Region. This herb is quite unique with a very demanding growth environment and can only grow in specific places.

It is said that Milos Island is favored by the God of Fertility, Landorus. Because of this, the entire island can grow the Revival Herb.

However, the Revival Herb described in these news articles and the Revival Herb Naoki understood had some differences in certain aspects.

The Revival Herb in this world does not have a bitter taste; instead, it is very spicy. While it can restore a Pokémon’s stamina, it cannot completely heal fainted Pokémon.

Furthermore, people in the Alola Region use the Revival Herb as an ingredient to make the famous Akala curry. The spiciness of the Revival Herb reportedly gives the curry a unique flavor.

“So, are these two Reviver Herbs not the same?”

Naoki looked at the pictures of the Revival Herb online and then at the Reviver Seed in his hand, feeling there was a strong possibility the difference was due to differing world views.

The world he was in had an anime worldview, where the Revival Herb’s taste is spicy, while the Reviver Seed came from a game worldview, where its taste was extremely bitter.
