Not Being a Trainer This Time

Geeta was delighted, because Naoki’s actions not only showcased the strength of Paldea Trainers to other regions, but also safeguarded the dignity of the Gym Leaders.

In this era where the internet connects the entire world, even the smallest incident can spread and become significant through online transmission.

If the news of that Trainer’s victory were to be posted online, it would spread rapidly, and no one could predict how it might end up.

It might even evolve into the perception that “Trainers from the Paldea Region are generally weaker than those from other regions.”

That would definitely have a significant impact on the Paldea Region.

So, Geeta was very happy.

When someone is happy, they often want to reward with something.

“Naoki, is there any reward you’d like?” Geeta asked with a cheerful smile.

Naoki: “…No.”

Naoki felt that his life was already quite fulfilled, with his beloved Pokemon as his partner by his side, and it wouldn’t be long before his child would come into this world.

If there was any unfulfilled wish he had…

Naoki thought carefully for a moment and realized he truly had no unfulfilled wishes.

However, upon hearing his words, Geeta was taken aback: “There’s nothing you want?”

Naoki exchanged a glance with Lono and said with a smile:

“I can’t even keep track of our daily farm revenue anymore. The Pokemon I love are all around me, and there’s Lono and the unborn baby.”

Geeta understood, Naoki felt that his life was complete and he lacked nothing.

“Fine, then I’ll see if there’s anything rare on the market, and have Larry deliver it to you later!” Geeta said.

Naoki: “…”

Poor Larry.

“Alright then, we’ll leave it at that for now! I need to inspect the Gym to see if I can find any talent. See you later~” Geeta said with a light wave.

“Goodbye.”

With that, Geeta hung up the phone.

After dinner, Indeedee went to wash the dishes. Having played with Pokemon all day, they were somewhat tired and lay on the floor yawning.

The little ones were all dirty, and Naoki initially wanted to help bathe them, but Lono reached out to him instead.

“What’s the matter?” Naoki asked, slightly puzzled.

But in the next second, he understood Lono’s intent.

Lono missed him!

Naoki smiled, glanced at the sky outside, and then asked, “Shall we take a walk outside?”

The weather today was great. Although it was already summer, the evening was still pleasant, and the night breeze felt extremely comfortable.

“Mm.” Lono responded in a lazy tone.

So, the two of them left the house and strolled along the path that led to the Chicken House and the Apple Garden in their own pasture.

As Naoki expected, the temperature outside was perfect, the night sky beautiful, and the breeze comfortable.

After walking a little while, Lono smirked mischievously and said, “I’m so tired!”

Naoki glanced at her, “Did you go picking berries again?”

Since getting married, Lono always thought about helping him with chores, whether it was watering the plants or picking berries and moving things.

“I just wanted to lighten your load a bit!” Lono immediately defended.

“…” Naoki sighed helplessly, “With me here, you don’t need to help with those chores. I can handle them after work.”

“You helped, and you’re not even happy.” Lono huffed, pretending to be angry, “I’m not talking to you!”

“I just don’t want you to get tired.” Naoki replied.

“Then carry me!” Lono suddenly demanded.

It took Naoki a moment to realize that Lono was being playful with him.

“Sure.” Naoki bent down and carried Lono as they continued walking along the path.

Lono suddenly had a whimsical thought, “Do you think, when we’re old, you’ll still be able to carry me?”

“Of course I can.” Naoki replied without turning around.

“Will you not like me anymore when I’m old?” Lono suddenly felt a bit worried.

“No, I won’t.” Naoki said patiently.

After walking a while, Lono jumped off his back with a playful smile, “Alright! You’ve been tired all day, no more carrying!”

Naoki laughed and said, “Alright.”

The two of them took a stroll around the farm, and as they passed the Berry Garden, Lono suddenly remembered something and asked:

“By the way, I saw a strange tree over there today. There’s a big tree hole in the middle. Is that something you planted?”

“Hmm?” Naoki looked in the direction Lono was pointing and then explained, “Yes, that’s called a Breeding Treehouse. It’s said that if you place a Pokemon egg inside, the treehouse will draw nutrients from the earth to nurture the egg, allowing the Pokemon inside to grow healthy and strong.”

Moreover, it can greatly enhance a Pokemon’s abilities and insight.

In gaming terms, Pokemon hatched from there are all top-notch 6V Pokemon.

“Wow! So amazing!” Lono exclaimed, and then, thinking of something, looked down at her own belly and asked, “Do you think that tree works for our baby too?”

Naoki: “?”

“Isn’t there a saying that humans are also a type of Pokemon?” Lono murmured, “If that saying is true, then maybe our baby can also grow up healthy?”

Naoki: “…I don’t know about that.”

Although he had heard that saying too, no one knew whether it was true or not.

Lono immediately made a decision, “For our baby to grow up healthy, I’ll sit in that tree hole every day!”
