Not Being a Trainer This Time

So although the two Revival Herbs share the same name, their effects are vastly different.

In that case, he will be the one to promote these true Revival Herbs in this world!

Naoki found some wood and tools in the storeroom, and with Koraidon’s help, transported these materials to the west side of the Chicken House, near the Berry Garden in the open space.

This plot of land is located next to the river running through the pasture, which is a very good location.

Naoki plans to establish an herbal garden here, specifically for planting Revival Herbs.

First, he marked out the area for the herbal garden, then used a hammer to drive wooden fences into the ground to form a circle, and finally used the remaining wood to make a small wooden gate.

With this, an herbal garden was officially completed.

The subsequent work had to be done by professionals—Pokemon with the right skills.

Naoki used five Pokeblocks as a reward to call over Dugtrio, and in no time, Dugtrio had finished tilling the entire herbal garden.

The satisfied Dugtrio left with the Pokeblocks in their arms.

Meanwhile, Naoki and Koraidon worked together to evenly scatter the thirty-seven Reviver Seeds that Teddiursa had picked up across the entire garden.

Finally, he left the finishing touch to Gogoat.

In a burst of green light, the seeds broke through the ground, growing into lush and vibrant Revival Herbs.

Naoki’s gaze swept over these Revival Herbs, and instantly, the information about the herbs appeared in his mind.

[Revival Herb: A rare herb grown from Reviver Seeds, it tastes extremely bitter but can fully restore a Pokemon’s stamina when near death, and can also be used in cooking.]

Done!

With that, Holy Ash, Revival Herb, and the two great revival medicines of the Pokemon World are now all gathered, along with Life Sheep Milk and those fruits that cure blindness and short-sightedness, there is no Pokemon he can’t cure now.

“Items in the shop can also be updated,” Naoki thought to himself.

They don’t need those fruits that cure nearsightedness and blindness, and instead of letting them rot in the pasture, it’s better to sell them in the shop to those people and Pokemon in need.

This matter can be dealt with later, he still has more important things to attend to now.

Bringing a few Revival Herbs with him, Naoki returned to the kitchen.

Lono was not in the room, and should have gone to the Glass Greenhouse for tea.

“I should cook those fruits first,” Naoki thought.

Eager to see the Cooking Effect of these fruits, Naoki didn’t make complex dishes and instead brought out the juicer.

The first one to be juiced was the Awakening Fruit.

After peeling the fruit and putting it in the juicer, amidst the buzzing of the machine, the Awakening Fruit gradually turned into a strange blue juice.

[Awakening Juice (C), Cooking Effect: Insomnia Lv1, temporarily changes a Pokemon’s ability to Insomnia, lasting for 5 minutes. When consumed by humans, it keeps them absolutely awake for 6 hours, maintaining calm thoughts and greatly enhancing learning and work efficiency.]

Naoki: “…”

He swore this juice must be Geeta’s favorite, he must keep it well, couldn’t let Geeta know he had this stuff.

Anyway, changing a Pokemon’s ability?

It might not be useful for Normal Pokemon, but for a Slaking with Truant and a Regigigas with Slow Start, the Insomnia ability surely beats their original abilities.

There used to be a Slakoth in the pasture, but that Slakoth has already become Ash’s Pokemon.

As for Regigigas, it’s probably still sleeping in some Ancient Divine Hall, right?

The Awakening Juice might not be useful for the moment, then Naoki began making Bluk Berry Juice.

[Bluk Berry Juice (B-), Cooking Effect: Vision Enhancement Lv1, when consumed by Pokemon, it slightly increases their focus, making it easier for them to see and evade flying objects.]

“Huh? So Vision Enhancement has this effect?” Naoki was a bit surprised.

He originally thought it would enhance a Pokemon’s vision and field of view!

Still, this isn’t bad either; increasing focus and making it easier to see flying objects can have a big impact on Pokemon. To a certain extent, it can improve the success rate of the move “Quick Dodge.”

The last one, Recovery Berry, Naoki juiced it with the same steps.

[Recovery Berry Juice (A-), Cooking Effect: True Sight Lv1, when consumed by Pokemon, they gain True Sight in battles, countering moves like “Double Team” and “Substitute,” allowing them to see through tricks, and there’s a certain chance the Pokemon can spot the opponent’s weak points, hitting them critically!]

Naoki was slightly taken aback; isn’t this just a simplified version of Eyes of Golden Flame?

The Substitution Poison Strategy may become the biggest victim.

Not only that, it also increases the Pokemon’s chance of hitting a critical strike. The effect of this Recovery Berry is out of this world!

What’s even scarier is that all these effects are at lv1. If better auxiliary ingredients and cooking methods are used, they can be upgraded to possess even more powerful effects.

Like hitting a critical strike every time, just thinking about it feels out of this world.

Fortunately, with the Reversed World, otherwise, those fruits might have gone to waste.

Naoki took a deep breath, and after learning the specific effects of these fruits, he had a rough idea in his heart.

Anyway, those crops won’t wither, so he’s not in a hurry to immediately pick them and mass-produce dishes.

There’s still one more thing to do now.

Naoki turned his gaze toward the bundle of freshly picked Revival Herb in the bamboo basket beside him.

Picking one up and putting it in his mouth for a careful taste, a tremendously intense bitter flavor immediately filled his entire mouth.

It was an indescribable bitterness, and Naoki quickly spat it out, then drank a glass of Honey.

However, after a glass of Honey, that bitter flavor still hadn’t been completely washed away and a slight aftertaste remained.

“This stuff is way too bitter!” Naoki said with a bitter face.

No wonder in the game, when you feed Revival Herb to your Pokemon, their affection drops.

With something this hard to swallow, it’s odd if affection doesn’t drop…

“I bet even Gogoat won’t accept this taste, no way, I have to try to improve it.”

After thinking briefly, Naoki took out the Honey brewed by Combee from the cabinet, then found a few sweet Berries, and mixed these materials with the Revival Herb to squeeze into a green juice.

Next, he mixed the juice with flour to make dough, then divided the dough into small pieces, rolled them into the shape of balls, and steamed them.

Naoki set an alarm clock, then prepared to visit the herb garden again to check on the Revival Herb.

On the way, he encountered Koraidon.

Seeing Naoki coming, Koraidon, who was playing alone, immediately ran up excitedly, sticking out its tongue to lick Naoki.

The next second, Koraidon’s eyes widened, showing a face of disbelief, as if it had tasted poison.

“Ah gah si!”

Koraidon quickly spat out its tongue, pawed at it, trying to scrape away that taste.

Standing wasn’t convenient, so it lay down, eventually rolling on the ground.

Naoki was stunned for a second, then realized the smell of the Revival Herb on his hand hadn’t been washed off!

Seeing Koraidon’s reaction, having already tasted the Revival Herb, Naoki quickly went back to the room to get a bottle of Honey and poured it into Koraidon’s mouth.

With a bottle of honey down, Koraidon lay feebly on the grass, drooping its head, looking pitiful.

“Ah gah si…”

In response, Naoki felt very embarrassed, but luckily Koraidon soon forgave him and kept its distance from his hand, fearing being touched by that bitter taste again.

Naoki, laughing and crying, watched this scene: “Alright, then keep playing here!”

“Ah gah si!”

After this small interlude, when Naoki returned to the kitchen, the Revival Herb Balls were already steamed.

Opening the steamer lid, a puff of steam burst out, and the dark green dumplings were lying quietly on the white steamer cloth.
