Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 98: Chapter 90: Physical Prowess Fully Surpassing Captain America (3/10)

In the small grove.

Lu Li was still continuing the final tests.

He attempted to mobilize the chemical energy stored at the Little Golden Man inside him.

In the past, Lu Li had tried, feeling he could mobilize it, but it didn’t actually work.

The reason it didn’t work wasn’t because there was no way for the energy rays to move around inside the body, but because they couldn’t leave the body.

This time was different from before.

The moment he tried to mobilize, the Little Golden Man released energy rays that rapidly traversed his body.

Lu Li tried to extend his hand and push, attempting to release the energy from his palm.

The next moment, something that surprised him happened.

Lu Li felt an energy ray indeed burst out from the skin of his palm!

It’s just that the effect was very weak, the air in front slightly rippled, and then nothing.

”The energy rays can really be released outside the body?”

Lu Li couldn’t help but be taken aback for a moment.

He had tried before.

It wasn’t possible.

How could it be possible this time?

He thought carefully for a moment and roughly understood why.

His pores and skin had just fully evolved, allowing him to absorb free energy from the outside, gather it into the body, and after a complex cycle, refine it into chemical energy.

Since pores and skin can absorb free energy, they naturally also have the ability to ”expel” energy.

Additionally, the chemical energy created inside before was of lower ”quality” and couldn’t affect real matter.

Now those chemical energies, after being refined through a complex cycle, have a very high ”quality”, hence they can barely make the air ripple.

”Just making the air ripple slightly isn’t destructive.”

Lu Li pondered, ”However, this special chemical energy shouldn’t be used for harm, or rather, its current quality isn’t enough to cause harm, but it certainly has other uses.”

What is the use of chemical energy in the human body?

The answer is obvious, it can maintain the body’s operations.

Lu Li pondered, ”Can this energy kill bacteria and viruses in the body? Or mobilize the flow of blood, constrict muscles, and such?”

He definitely wouldn’t try such things on himself.

Lu Li turned his gaze towards the dawn redwood tree that was scratched by a fallen leaf.

He approached and removed the fallen leaf, then activated his X-ray vision to observe.

The damaged area of the trunk was secreting some sap, seemingly slowly repairing the wound.

Typically, a tree trunk wound less than two centimeters would take about a week to recover, with the bark gradually healing.

A wound larger than two centimeters would take two to three years to heal.

The trunk before him was pierced by the fallen leaf to about five millimeters, expected to recover within a week at most.

Lu Li wanted to see if he could use the chemical energy inside him to accelerate the trunk’s recovery.

Thinking this, he placed his hand on the trunk’s wound and mobilized chemical energy to cover it.

At the same time, his X-ray vision continuously monitored the internal situation.

A magical scene unfolded.

Once his chemical energy touched the trunk’s wound, the flow rate of the sap suddenly increased.

Moreover, the shallow wound was healing rapidly at a visibly fast pace!

In about four to five seconds, the wound was completely healed!

Lu Li was stunned at the moment, ”Wow, can chemical energy really speed up the rate of wound healing?”

He could see that the chemical energy didn’t directly heal the tree’s wound but provided energy, accelerating the tree’s ”self-healing”.

It can be said this chemical energy is quite perverse.

Imagine if someone was cut, and the bleeding was too fast, preventing survival until treatment. By infusing chemical energy, you could speed up the wound’s healing and save a life.

”This chemical energy is indeed great, but the consumption is quite considerable too.”

Lu Li felt carefully and realized that in just a short moment, a lot of chemical energy was consumed, about a half percent worth.

”If it can be used on trees, it should work on humans too.”

Lu Li was very satisfied with the test results, ”Besides, I currently don’t have microscopic vision, can’t see cells or bacteria in the body, and don’t know if chemical energy can kill bacteria.”

This is temporarily unknown, as you can’t see it.

Lu Li didn’t test chemical energy further and decided to find time to develop microscopic vision.

If it could really be developed, and experiments showed chemical energy could kill bacteria, then family illness would be easily solved.

Subsequently, Lu Li tested his physical abilities once more.

For example, his running speed seemed to have greatly improved since last time.

Before, he could run as fast as a seventy to eighty kilometers per hour car.

Now, it should have doubled.

He just tested a one-hundred-meter sprint.

Full-speed running took just over two seconds, less than three seconds.

Calculating at this speed, his speed could reach about one hundred forty to fifty kilometers per hour.

This is the speed of an all-out sprint.

Normal constant speed might be slower.

As for strength, since there was nothing suitable for testing in the small grove, Lu Li was temporarily unsure.

However, there was a slightly damaged stone bollard here.

A sixty centimeter one.

The stone ball weighed about three hundred kilograms.

Lu Li found he could easily lift it single-handedly without effort.

He judged his strength could lift something weighing one to two tons.

After various tests, Lu Li guessed that his current physical condition might have fully surpassed Captain America.

The whiteboard Captain America’s strength could only lift an object weighing one ton, and in accelerated status, the running speed was about seventy-eight kilometers per hour.

By comparison, it’s clear Captain America is no match for him now.

Lu Li pondered secretly, ”Finally, fully surpassing Captain America.”

Looking at it this way, my second deep evolution has brought a huge improvement.

He knew that such a significant enhancement must have consumed a lot of energy.

This definitely wasn’t just from eating jadeite to gain so much energy.

Unexpectedly, the large amount of chemical energy converted from eating jadeite should have allowed him to evolve the superpower of absorbing energy from outside through his skin and pores.

Moreover, this process probably didn’t take long, after which he absorbed energy from the outside for a whole day and night during the deep evolution, finally completing the second deep evolution.

Of course, this is Lu Li’s guess; he doesn’t know for sure if that’s the case for now.

Because during deep evolution, he was not in a conscious state and could only vaguely see the Little Golden Man channeling energy rays,

Speaking of which, being able to enter the second deep evolution this time was also thanks to his idea to gamble on stones for fortune, eating several pounds of jadeite, and accumulating enough energy to evolve the superpower of absorbing energy from outside through the skin and pores.

Otherwise, he might not have known his body could undergo a second deep evolution.

Let alone talk about such a massive improvement.

Lu Li mused to himself, ”Since my body can go through a second deep evolution, could there also be a third or fourth?”

Would each deep evolution bring such a significant improvement?

He couldn’t help but wonder for a while, but had no clue.

In fact, he didn’t even know the necessary conditions for entering deep evolution for now.

However, after experiencing the second deep evolution, Lu Li vaguely felt that the evolution content mentioned by the young blogger might have many inaccuracies.

The young blogger’s view was that, aside from active evolution, other aspects of the body’s evolution are subtle and based on the environment.

But that’s not the case at all.

This time, he didn’t encounter a harsh environment that required a stronger body.

Nor did he suggest a comprehensive evolution actively.

Still, he involuntarily went through the second deep evolution.

Lu Li felt that his current situation was more like ”idling to gain experience” every day.

Once the ”experience points” reach the brink of ”leveling up,” the body naturally enters a deep evolution state.

When he wakes up, his overall qualities improve substantially.

My body evolves every day.

Is this what is called experience points?

If this speculation is correct, wouldn’t the body reach a certain level of strength after a period of evolution, falling into deep evolution, consequently reaching a new level?

Thus, previously when testing at the hotel where the flame belle stayed, his entire body evolution should have reached the edge of the second deep evolution, but due to lacking the energy required for ”leveling up,” he hadn’t entered the deep evolution process.

And this time, he gained energy by eating a large amount of jadeite.

Developed the ability for pores and skin to absorb free energy from the air.

It just met the vast energy required for deep evolution.

Therefore, in his sleep, he went into the second deep evolution.

Although unsure if this speculation is correct, Lu Li feels it’s probably the case; no other possibility comes to his mind.

Returning to the Porsche.

Lu Li was about to start the car to head for the deal when another question crossed his mind.

”Has the shapeshifting skill evolved?”

This skill is crucial.

Because exposing part of his strength has already attracted attention from special departments.

If the shapeshifting skill had developed, it could help avoid many prying eyes.

Therefore, Lu Li certainly wanted to know if the skill had been developed.

He looked into the rearview mirror.

Tried changing his height and appearance with his mind.

There wasn’t much reaction inside his body.

But the muscles on his face were continuously squirming.

Gradually turning into another appearance.

Because Lu Li didn’t visualize what specific appearance he wanted to change into.

So, the facial skin and muscles contorted together, becoming very unsightly.

But one could still vaguely see his original appearance.

”This level, although not quite enough, is barely sufficient to avoid tracking.”

Lu Li tried visualizing himself becoming Xiaozhao.

Again, the muscles and skin on his face squirmed.

Eventually, it became four or five-tenths similar to Xiaozhao.

It didn’t completely replicate.

The main reason is simple.

Because Lu Li only manipulated his facial muscles and skin for the change.

He couldn’t make the bones change.

And a person’s appearance has much to do with the shape of facial bones.

Isn’t there a saying like that?

”The beauty lies in the bones, not the skin,” referring to the effect of bones on appearance.

Without changing bone structure, naturally, he couldn’t entirely replicate Xiaozhao’s appearance.

”Hmm, this should be about right.”

Lu Li was quite satisfied.

Released the control over muscles and skin.

The appearance instantly reverted back.

Thus, it shows the shapeshifting skill is indeed evolving.

It’s just not yet ”completed” for now.

The shapeshifting skill has initially shown results, and his body has strengthened so much?

If he indeed fully evolved the shapeshifting skill, wouldn’t he, as he speculated, completely turn into a superman?

”Alright, the test is roughly done.”

Lu Li drove the car, dashed towards the address given by A Bough of Red Comes Out of the Wall, ”Let’s see if we can deal with those antique porcelains later, hopefully selling them for around three million, so cash might break tens of millions!”
