Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 78: Chapter 73: Can’t Do Without Lu Li!

In the live streaming room.

Vice Manager Du frowned, speechless: ”Can’t stream live? What are you talking about?”

Lu Yao said helplessly: ”Deputy Manager Lu resigned from the host position, we have no host.”

What?

This guy really quit being a host?

Vice President Du was a bit angry at that moment, ”Didn’t the company sign a contract with him? He can just stop if he wants? That’s outrageous!”

”Uh...” Manager Zhou said weakly, ”Well, Vice President Du, the contract Deputy Manager Lu signed allows him to quit the host job anytime and anywhere.”

Vice President Du: ”...”

He was completely dumbfounded.

He really didn’t expect that the contract Lu Li signed was so flexible.

Now he was a bit unsettled and decided to talk to Lu Li later.

But tonight’s live sale had been advertised, so there was no time to talk to Lu Li now.

Vice President Du could only suppress his displeasure and said, ”Get Flaming Baby to handle it alone tonight; tomorrow I’ll talk to Deputy Manager Lu.”

Lu Yao smiled bitterly and said, ”Flaming Baby has a broken arm, and probably can’t stream live for at least the next month.”

Vice President Du nearly spat blood.

First, Lu Li quit the host job?

Now Flaming Baby’s arms are broken and can’t stream?

He suddenly had the feeling that canceling Lu Li as the live sale project leader was like shooting himself in the foot?

But not streaming now is not an option either, the promotion is out, fans are still waiting!

Vice President Du could only suppress the anger in his heart and said coldly, ”I don’t care how you do it tonight, someone must go live, and the sales figures cannot be much lower than in previous times!”

The sales figures can’t be much lower than before?

Everyone knows this is simply impossible, right!

Manager Zhou, Vice Manager Lin, and others didn’t want to respond.

Lu Li himself is popular, and with Flaming Baby’s fan base, only then could they achieve such high sales figures.

Now what’s left in the live room are just odd and ends, still hoping to drive fans to buy products?

No one responded to Vice President Du.

Vice President Du’s anger surged, he shouted loudly: ”What are you standing around for? Find someone to go up immediately!”

Still, no one responded.

Vice President Du’s teeth bit into his flesh, he had no choice but to look at Lu Yao and said: ”Lu Yao, you do the live stream!”

Lu Yao was stunned, pointing at herself, and said: ”Me?”

Vice President Du squinted his eyes and said: ”Yes! You fill in for the live stream!”

In his view, Lu Yao is so pretty, at the very least, she could stabilize the viewers, and the sales figures wouldn’t drop too much.

Vice President Du now had no other thoughts, he just didn’t want the sales figures to drop too much.

Otherwise, in tomorrow’s morning meeting, being scolded by Liu Kexin would be the least of his worries, he might become a laughingstock in the whole company.

And worse, if those shareholders found out he personally dismantled the cash cow, they would skin him alive, wouldn’t they?

Naturally, Vice President Du had to stabilize the sales figures no matter what.

They can drop, but not too much.

Lu Yao had no choice but to take up the host position.

When the time came, Lu Yao smiled at the camera: ”Good evening, everyone, welcome to the Vox quality home living live room, I am your host Lu Yao tonight.”

She must stabilize the audience!

Lu Yao, you can do it!

Vice President Du stared at the auxiliary screen and silently cheered for Lu Yao.

Unfortunately, he was destined to be disappointed tonight.

Comments flew fast on the screen.

”Where is Great God Lu Li?”

”Where is my Flaming Baby?”

”Come on, who wants to watch you? Get down! Get down!”

”Get down! I want to see Great God Lu Li!”

”Get down! I want to see Flaming Baby!”

”Get down! I want to see Great God Lu Li!”

The audience didn’t seem to care about Lu Yao at all, each crazily spamming the screen, all wanting to see Lu Li and Flaming Baby for the live sale, urging Lu Yao to get off the stage quickly.

Lu Yao was about to cry from the scolding!

Vice President Du, standing at the side watching the auxiliary screen, couldn’t help but look upset too.

Manager Zhou and Vice Manager Lin found it secretly amusing.

Did removing Deputy Manager Lu as the live sale project lead result in retribution tonight?

Of course, whether it was retribution wasn’t clear yet, after all, it depended on the final sales figures.

Manager Zhou, Vice Manager Lin, Qian Yu, and Li Shishi held their breath, wanting to see the final result.

Vice President Du thought the same.

Unfortunately, things didn’t develop as Vice President Du wished.

Initially, when the broadcast just started, there were over a thousand viewers in the live room.

However, when people couldn’t see Lu Li and Flaming Baby coming up, they didn’t even bother to scold Lu Yao any longer and quietly exited the live room.

Nine hundred!

Five hundred!

One hundred!

In just half an hour, the number of viewers in the live room plummeted from over a thousand to just over a dozen!

Lu Yao seemed deeply humiliated, and suddenly ”waa” cried out in front of the camera.

Though Manager Zhou and Vice Manager Lin found the situation amusing, they were after all the heads of the e-commerce sales department, and their faces also looked heavy at this moment.

Needless to say Vice President Du.

In this half an hour.

His face turned from gloomy to livid.

And from livid to utterly pitch black.

Finally, it turned entirely pale.

It was imaginable what kind of inner torment Vice President Du suffered in this half an hour.

Indeed, if anyone noticed Vice President Du now, they would definitely find him trembling all over.

Clearly, he was both shocked and furious.

Furious because Lu Yao replacing the live sale had no effect at all.

Shocked because Vice President Du suddenly realized that the live sale project couldn’t do without Lu Li!

Removing Lu Li from the live sale project leader position?

Using it to hit Liu Kexin’s prestige hard in the company?

Vice President Du finally understood how ridiculous the proposal this morning was.

He realized it wasn’t just shooting himself in the foot, it was smashing his own rice bowl!

Vice President Du had enough reason to believe, if the shareholders knew about tonight’s live mishap tomorrow, they would definitely swallow him alive!

Thinking of this, he was all grey-faced.

Unlike Vice President Du’s grey face.

Qian Yu, Li Shishi, and other veterans under Lu Li felt a secret satisfaction.

Remove our boss’s position?

How about now.

The live sale project might be ruined directly!

In the live room, everyone’s emotions were different.

The atmosphere suddenly turned extremely quiet.

Not just extremely quiet, but... deadly silent!

Finally, they barely made it to the end of the broadcast.

Lu Yao had already turned into a tearful mess.

Undeterred, Vice President Du didn’t care how Lu Yao was doing, he rushed to Qian Yu’s side and eagerly asked: ”What was the live sale revenue tonight?”

Yes, he still wasn’t giving up!

He hoped for a miracle to happen!

Unfortunately, Qian Yu gave a despairing answer, ”Tonight we only had one order, and sold one air purifier detector for three hundred and ninety-nine yuan.”

Only three hundred and ninety-nine yuan?

Thinking that previously, when Lu Li streamed alone, the sales figure was over seven hundred thousand!

Later, when Lu Li and Flaming Baby livestreamed together, even though the first time the sales figure dropped to over three hundred thousand, the second time it bounced back to over nine hundred thousand, nearly hitting a million.

Lu Yao’s live sale only sold for three hundred and ninety-nine yuan?

Damn, the difference is worlds apart!

If the shareholders found out, someone with the last name Du wouldn’t have a good time!

Thinking of this, Vice President Du felt dizzy, almost fainting.

Suddenly, there was a ”ding” sound.

Qian Yu glanced at the screen and said quietly: ”Well, it seems the customer canceled the order too, so even the three hundred and ninety-nine yuan is gone.”

Manager Zhou: ”...”

Vice Manager Lin: ”...”

Vice President Du’s vision went black, he fell to the ground, and really fainted with rage!

Before he fainted, there was only one thought in his mind: The live sale project without Lu Li really can’t work at all!
