Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 62: Chapter 57: Don’t Do Anything Anti-Social

A group of the company’s security guards was in an uproar over there.

Fortunately, Xiaozhao was quick-witted and immediately took out his phone, saying, ”Boss, I’ll call the police for you right now.”

After speaking, he dialed the police number.

Manager Zhou said, ”I’ll call 120.”

While the two of them were making calls, Lu Li slowly walked up to Vice President Du, narrowed his eyes, and said, ”Vice President Du, you’d better pray these two bastards don’t rat you out, or else... you know the consequences!”

The main issue was that there were too many colleagues here.

Otherwise, Lu Li would certainly not bother with any talk of evidence and would have slapped the other party across the face long ago.

Of course, if these hooligans didn’t rat out Vice President Du, he wouldn’t let them off easily either. He would definitely find a way afterward, using his own methods, to make the old guy understand what regret feels like.

Lu Li has always been very vengeful and cannot repay grievances with virtue. Anyone who offends me, sorry, buddy, will certainly get reciprocated!

Vice President Du was scared pale.

Despite being threatened in front of everyone, which seemed quite humiliating.

But he was too afraid of this pervert in front of him, not daring to talk back at all.

Vice President Du accompanied his words with a smile, ”Deputy Manager Lu, what are you talking about? I really don’t know what’s going on with them.”

He was so frightened that he even addressed Lu Li respectfully as ”you” [in Chinese]. You can imagine how scared he was.

Xiaozhao, Manager Zhou, and Vice Manager Lin noticed the situation.

They suspected that Lu Li might have vaguely known something.

As a result, no one spoke.

Soon after, the security guards captured the group of hooligans along with Yuan Chu and Miao Feng and brought them back to the company.

Lu Li took the opportunity to go to the medical office for a bandage.

The adrenaline rush just now was too exhilarating.

He punched the car roof repeatedly without noticing he’d been cut.

Even though he sustained some minor injuries, overall, Lu Li was quite satisfied with the fight tonight.

He not only captured two fugitives with bounties on their heads but also tested the ferocity of his full-power burst.

Lu Li recalled the situation just now.

His physical fitness after all this time of evolution probably still doesn’t match Captain America.

However, it should be two to three times stronger than an ordinary person.

Because the improvement in physical fitness isn’t as simple as adding one plus one.

Therefore, even though his arm was scraped by the car roof’s sheet metal, it was just a superficial injury.

In reality, the injury wasn’t too serious.

Moreover, physical fitness isn’t just about strength.

It also includes muscles, skin, bones, and internal organs, among others.

This comprehensive enhancement undoubtedly greatly boosts combat effectiveness.

Lu Li felt that now he could fight twenty or thirty ordinary people with his bare hands without any problem.

Of course, he also discovered some drawbacks.

Just now, his arm was cut by the sheet metal.

Lu Li knew that his body couldn’t yet withstand firearms.

Only flying needles could barely contend with firearms.

Only relatively weak firearms.

Like pistols, for example.

As for shells, don’t even think about it for now.

Before long, police cars arrived.

Lu Li and his colleagues were all taken back to the police station to give a statement.

...

Police station.

A few police officers just came back from interrogating a dozen hooligans at the hospital.

As they walked inside, they discussed the case.

”Ugh, these social riffraff are restless tonight, causing such a commotion.”

”These hooligans, really, every one of them insists they were injured by that young guy named Lu Li.”

”Ha, a dozen people attacking one with weapons, and they still got injured by him? I must be a fool to believe that!”

”Right, these hooligans are so dishonest, saying that Lu Li used inner strength to hurt them, almost made me laugh in anger. What kind of people are these, getting caught and still not willing to tell the truth.”

”Not just that, you know those two fugitives, Yuan Chu and Miao Feng? They even said Lu Li dismantled their car with his bare hands. I looked at that BMW, and it did look like something hard hit and damaged the roof, but them saying one person did it? I’d never believe it even if you killed me.”

”Hmm, based on the confessions from those hooligans and the two fugitives, it seems Lu Li was indeed acting in self-defense, so let’s just let him go.”

The police didn’t believe what the hooligans said at all and even had people review the surveillance to find out what happened.

And then...

Well, after watching the surveillance footage, the police officers were dumbfounded too.

They never expected that what the hooligans said would actually be true; Lu Li really did dismantle a car with his hands!

As for the ”inner strength” hurting people, since Lu Li’s fight with the hooligans happened in a dead-end, the surveillance didn’t capture the footage.

The police just thought the hooligans got beaten silly by Lu Li and were babbling nonsense, not taking it seriously.

Additionally, when Lu Li chased the BMW, the two flashes of silver light were so fast that when the police reviewed the footage, they almost didn’t notice, thinking it was just some light reflection.

Although they didn’t believe in the inner strength thing, seeing such a terrifying scene turned all the police officers’ faces green, and they quickly called back Lu Li, who had just finished giving his statement and was about to leave.

At the time, Lu Li was already at the police station’s door when Captain Qian called him back forcefully.

Captain Qian stared at Lu Li with an incredibly complex look, ”So, Comrade Lu Li, with your situation, we have to put you on record. If anything similar happens in our jurisdiction in the future, I’ll have to call you.”

Lu Li said indifferently, ”I don’t like causing trouble anyway. If you need to put me on record, go ahead, no problem.”

Subsequently, he went back inside to be recorded.

At the end, Captain Qian personally escorted Lu Li outside the police station, instructing, ”Comrade Lu Li, I know you have skills. Just please don’t do anything detrimental to social harmony.”

Lu Li nodded and said, ”Got it. By the way, those two fugitives were captured by me. When will I get the bounty?”

”Didn’t we just register you?” Captain Qian said in a pleasant tone, ”According to regulations, it usually takes about twenty days for the funds to arrive. If you’re in urgent need of money...”

He pondered for a moment, ”Hmm, I can put in a word with the higher-ups for you, and it should arrive in a few days. Anyway, listen to uncle, you’re still young with a bright future ahead, please don’t do anything anti-social, hear me out? If there’s anything difficult to solve, you can call me, try not to handle it yourself, better not to do it yourself, okay?”

Yes, Captain Qian was also terrified after watching the video, knowing how terrifying it would be if a powerhouse like Lu Li committed anti-social acts.

Therefore, he repeatedly urged him not to commit crimes and even promised Lu Li that if he encountered any tricky problems, he would be willing to personally intervene, just to ensure he could behave himself.

Lu Li, lacking any violent tendencies, naturally agreed right away.

He was still secretly happy in his heart when leaving the police station.

Bro caught two fugitives today.

The bounty is a whopping nine hundred thousand!

As soon as he gets this money, he can buy a Porsche 911!
