Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2481 A Short Celebration

”Mhmm~”

Davis hummed as he bit into the slimy texture of the ice cream cake. Although the secret ingredients had him hesitating a bit, Mingzhiʼs creation was truly marvelous. After taking a bite, the milky taste and the earth-attribute aura quickly seeped into the countless taste buds over his tongue, revealing that this was milk from the Undaunted Earthen Cow Clan.

Due to his dealings with them, he was familiar with their racial aura. However, he wondered when they couldʼve procured it without him noticing, but then, thinking of Everlight, he imagined that she should be carrying some as this was rich in energy and increased the density of the bones.

The Undaunted Earthen Cow Clan was strong, but they were also hunted down for their delicious milk. However, the Magical Beast Sanctuary was there to save them and included them as one of the Guardian Clans.

During this time, Davis smiled and gave a summary of what he knew about the Aurora Cloud Gate.

However, he didnʼt speak about Saintess Lunaria directly but instead indirectly revealed that the ancient covenantʼs master is still alive and that Myria and Ellia took that character as their master. He also told them about her other disciple, Wix Voidfield, Stella Voidfield, and the fox.

The women were astute and quickly understood what was going on as they knew who Saintess Lunaria was.

Of them, it was Evelynn who was shocked the most, as Misteltae also mentioned Saintess Lunaria. Now, she got to know that both the Saintess and the Nine Lives Gracious Fox were alive, and they appeared to be companions.

She really didnʼt expect them to be alive or present here as they were extremely ancient figures. All of them imagined that such a figure wouldʼve already ascended to the immortal world.

As for Ellia, who was the center of attention at this moment, she didnʼt say much nor hold onto Davis as she did before, as she knew that some might not like it. She merely looked around, her eyes keenly surveying each and every one of their characters, wanting to blend in as soon as possible.

Nonetheless, everyone finished the ice cream cake within a few minutes and was left with relished and sweet smiles as they praised Mingzhi. Even Nadiaʼs adorable small face was full of white cream. She licked her paws again and again and pleaded with Mingzhi for more.

”Iʼm sorry, Nadia. I donʼt have anymore. However, this isnʼt all because of me. Fiora also helped me out a lot to make this...”

”No, no. I was learning from Mingzhi how to make this thing called ice cream cake for the first time.”

Looking at Mingzhi and Fiora be chummy and good sisters, Davis wanted to kidnap them right then and there. Their gesture for his return moved him, wanting to bestow them with his own cream.

ʼDavis, you freaking pervert...ʼ

Cursing himself, he looked elsewhere before realizing that he was slightly in a blue-balled state. However, he could easily handle the pain and told everyone to go check the entirety of the residence and the mansion.

The weaker ones stayed in the mansion while the stronger ones headed out.

What they found was that the residence located on the eastern side of the floating island was locked in a triangular shape from the center to the edges. There were barrier lines on the triangular lines, which denoted that one couldnʼt easily cross the barrier if it was activated.

After mapping out the entire residence, they found that there was one main mansion and fourteen other living spaces that were, although not extravagant as the main mansion, were still packed with high-security defensive and detection formations.

If Davis wasnʼt wrong, he felt that they were all at Peak-Level Immortal King Grade. That was the absolute protection given to them as true disciples by the Aurora Cloud Gate.

Moreover, from worker quarters to hot springs, seclusion chambers to immortal crystal absorption formations. Everything was provided and seemed polished and neat, most likely to have been taken care of by the workers.

Davis was utterly satisfied with the accommodation and wanted to go see what Ellia and Myriaʼs residences were like. However, Evelynn, who was together with him, whispered into his mind at this moment.

”Husband, Everlight also stepped into the Immortal Stage.”

He turned to look at her, smiling a bit, ”Were you all cautious of Ellia and didnʼt mention it?”

Evelynn wryly returned his smile with a smile, ”It isnʼt like that. We all know how important she is to you, but this matter concerns Everlight and her mutation to an Emperor-Tier Nine Lives Gracious Fox. Iʼm afraid that if the matter leaks, then-”

”I get it. No need to explain.” Davis nodded his head twice before he shook his head, ”However, donʼt treat Ellia like an outsider anymore. I really do want to marry her and make her mine while she is also of the same thought.”

”I understand. Iʼll relay the same to everyone.” Evelynnʼs voice became softer.

”Donʼt misunderstand.” Davis instantly held Evelynnʼs shoulders, ”Iʼm not blaming you or anyone as that was still a good move. All Iʼm saying is that Ellia has separated from Myria and is going to be my woman from now on and one of your sisters.”

Evelynn blinked at his statement, the luster in her eyes revealing shock.

”Wait… she isnʼt a soul body?”

Davisʼs brows twitched. So they misunderstood that Myria was still with Ellia?

”Sheʼs not. Do you think Iʼm going to touch and be intimate with Myriaʼs soul body and get haunted to death?”

”No wonder~ I thought that there was going to be a bloodbath here soon. Hehe~”

Evelynn innocently laughed, causing Davis to be stupefied at her enchanting beauty and figure for a moment before he revealed a satisfied smile. His first wife was as mesmerizing and dependable as ever.

”Husband, Everlight also didnʼt listen to my words and was rampaging around.”

”Rampaging around…?”

Davis blinked. Was that the right word to use for a life-attributed fox?

”Yes~” Evelynn giggled, ”She sacrificed two of her tails to make Freya an Emperor-Tier Burning Phoenix and Katherine Hilltail a King-Tier Rumbling Earthtail Lion.”

”What?”

Davis became stunned, but Evelynn smilingly continued.

”Due to this fortunate accident, Lea decided to postpone her ascension to immortality as Freya decided to bestow her blood essence to her as Mira did to Isabella and me. Moreover, Mira has also stepped into the Immortal Beast Stage and successfully retained her Emperor-Tier bloodline, but I figure that you would not allow her to step out as it is dangerous for her to come out.”

Davis absentmindedly nodded, finding it difficult to imagine how this could proceed in this way.

Should he feel happier? Of course, he did as Everlight was willing to make sacrifices to strengthen him. However, would it come to bite back on him if she was this reckless, creating another Emperor-Tier Magical Beast?

Also, Everlight only sacrificed two tails and not four of them since three tails were required to become an Emperor-Tier Magical Beast, and one was required to become a King-Tier Magical Beast. What was going on here?

He couldnʼt understand the intricacies but realizing the implications, he grabbed Evelynnʼs shoulders once again as his eyes gleamed with interest.

”Tell me more about it.”
