Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2464 Their Stances

The scouts of numerous powers were shocked beyond compare, unable to believe the terrifying might of the Emperor of Death.

Even though the defensive talismans that turned into a spherical barrier gave them a sense of protection, it was not amplified to resisting powerful attacks or cleansing foreign energy. Instead, it was a simple barrier talisman that disallowed energy from getting inside. Because of that, it could also maintain its defense for ten minutes, which was enough time for reinforcements to arrive.

However, never did they expect him to be so fast in being capable of using his energy. Most likely, he had already released his death energy in a seamless manner when he had unleashed his fist against the Fire Phoenix Clanʼs scout. Otherwise, they wouldnʼt have been caught in the palm of his hands.

Regret filled their hearts as to why they had to provoke him.

Even as a Level One Immortal Stage cultivator, he was able to kill two Level Seven Immortal Stage scouts with just his physical strength radiating the aura of earth dragon might and ominous death energy possessing an undetectable yet terrifying power!

They could have feigned politeness and waited for their powers to arrive with reinforcements, but no, they just had to provoke him with insults and sneers.

Now they truly understood why he was titled the Emperor of Death.

”My… my Viridian Lightning Fox Clan doesnʼt wish to offend the Emperor of Death.”

”My Golden Crow Clan doesnʼt wish to make things worse with our unwelcomed presence. We will take our leave.”

”The Three-Headed Hydra Clan has no enmity with the Emperor of Death. We are here to just check things out if they are harmful to our people.”

”And so eliminate me if I was poached by one of your rivals?” Davisʼs lips curved as though he sneered.

It caused the scout from the Three-Headed Hydra Clan to shake his head vehemently.

”Thatʼs not the case. Itʼs said that Fiends are insane, but with the Emperor of Death giving us many chances to explain ourselves, I find it difficult to believe that you are insane. In that case, the Three-Headed Hydra Clan can only believe the stories from the Grand Beginnings Continent are true.”

Davis had his eyes narrowed but nodded his head as he turned to look at the others.

”The Dark-Winged Tiger Clan has no qualms...”

”The Light Phoenix Clan…”

”Light Dragon Clan…”

”Wind Phoenix Clan…”

”Ice Phoenix Clan…”

”Lightning Dragon Clan…”

”Dark Dragon Clan…”

”Dark Void Flame Tribe…”

”Verdant Wood Forest Spirit Tribe…”

”Ghostly Crow Clan…”

”Lunar Crow Clan…”

”Azure Flame Kirin Clan…”

”Obsidian Lightning Kirin Clan…”

”Sovereign Wind Skylark Clan…”

”Zyrus Family…”

”Lumin Family…”

”Bloodcloud Family…”

Many scouts continued to list their neutrality to him since he had their lives in his hands, including powers he had no idea about. However, there were also the powers he had encountered in Stellaʼs spatial realm, especially the Zyrus Family. They also declared their neutrality over his situation, not knowing that he was Mo Tian and Dead End.

Almost over a hundred powers spoke of their tolerance to his status as a Divergent, but there was still the other half that remained silent.

”My Devilish Flame Fox Clan is also innocent in this matter, and we are only surveying if the Emperor of Death is a future threat to us- Pui! You…”

A man wearing a maroon-colored robe pointed at Davis, who had another black heart in the palm of his hand, having crushed it into black dust. Blood leaked from his mouth before he collapsed and fell into the ruins.

”…!”

The death of the scout from the Devilish Flame Fox Clan caused the eyes of the others to tremble, once again proving that their lives were really in this devilʼs hands.

”You think I canʼt find your lies? Donʼt bother lying if youʼre going to open your mouths. It will only grant you a quick death.”

Davisʼs frigid gaze that fell on the scout of the dead fox fey panned over the others as his cold voice caused their spines to experience a searing chill.

They didnʼt doubt that Davis killed the Devilish Flame Fox Clan scout wrongly but was even terrified over how he found the other party lying.

After all, the Devilish Flame Fox Clan was allied with the Cyan Soul Rat Clan. They were actively harming the immortals who ascended from the Grand Beginnings Continent, soul-searching them. Even the Earth Dragon Clan and Fire Phoenix Clan didnʼt go that far, as they only took things as it was said.

So it could be said that the fox fey scout only deserved this coming for lying, but as for the ones standing opposing Davis, their hearts clenched.

They were also prepared to lie to escape from this situation, but now, they felt they were at the edge of a cliff, just inches away from being pushed into the abyss.

Davis took his hand back and kept them folded.

What he used was a new technique he had created, one that utilized both Karma and Death Laws. It wasnʼt a fusion nor a combination but a two-step technique that required him to infiltrate the otherʼs body with death energy and then taint their karmic thread.

It could be anywhere within the heart, lungs, brain, or other organs. It didnʼt matter where he wanted to inflict the damage as long as he could penetrate that part with his seamless death energy. Once it resided within, tainting the body and the karmic thread, all he had to do was invoke both karmic and death energy at the same time to crush it.

The karmic outline formed, and the death energy filled the palm of his hand, taking the shape of the organ before he crushed it, killing his opponents as the undetectable death energy that resided inside the body exploded. Using this maneuver, he had taken out both their hearts and souls as their consciousness was also affected by the tainted karmic thread.

It was a deadly technique, one that he managed to devise after his battle with the monstrous karmic-attributed turtle that descended in his Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation.

The terrifying aspect of this technique was that it could infect multiple opponents as long as they had less prowess than him. He had reached a realm where he didnʼt need Fallen Heaven to kill millions at the same time anymore. Although not quite at its level, it was a good start.

Nonetheless, he had come out of the zone of protection.

He didnʼt wait at the center of the ruins because he wasnʼt an ascender in the present tense, at the very least, not at the moment where the ruined monument would try to protect him from Mid Stage Immortals and above. If he remained and the Mid Stage Immortals attacked while the ruined monument wouldnʼt protect him, then it would be quickly found that he didnʼt just ascend but ascended long ago.

Besides, he was too angered to stay and wait for some reinforcements from the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan.

ʼJust why couldnʼt people understand?ʼ

Davis couldnʼt help but think about the Fire Phoenix Clanʼs stupidity.

He wouldnʼt go as far as to kill them if they were willing to engage in talks over how to divide the treasures. If they agreed to leave Shirley alone, he didnʼt mind as far as giving them thirty percent of the inheritanceʼs treasure as Flamerose would wish the same.

Even with memory loss, Flamerose still remained loyal to the Fire Phoenix Clan.

Besides, if Flamerose and Frostrose asked him to return the Immortal Inheritance Treasures, even Shirley would be willing to give them back.

That was how bad Davis and Shirley felt when it came to them. The two of them owed the twin phoenixes a debt that could never be repaid as they were supposed to be dead, but now that they were alive, he was even willing to give back the treasures if they so regained their memories and asked.

He really didnʼt want to offend the Fire Phoenix Clan for Flamerose and Shirleyʼs sake, but the words their scout spouted had him deeply infuriated.

Is that what the higher-ups of the Fire Phoenix Clan were thinking too?

A sense of fatigue filled his mind. Perhaps, he would inevitably offend Flamerose over this matter, causing him to sigh as he turned to look in a direction.

”Does the Golden Dragon Clan and Fire Dragon Clan not want to make their stance clear?”
